When I called to ask why, they said it was because they didn't have any buses or transportation available. They assured me I wouldn't be charged. Nonetheless, I received a payment confirmation the next day. I called the company back to flag the issue and was told that both transactions were now cancelled and would disappear from my credit card within 3-5 business days. It's now been almost a month and I still haven't received any refund. Both pending charges have officially gone through, and no one is answering my emails or calls. I had to contact my bank to dispute the charges. I'm so frustrated!

Because of that, this situation hit me harder than it might otherwise. My driver (he was wearing a burgundy leather jacket, had a big mustache) made a comment that I "seemed sketchy" simply because I tried to use Apple Pay. That caught me completely off guard. If this were late at night, maybe I could understand a bit more caution--but this was a normal daytime ride, and I was clearly trying to pay for the trip. I wasn't acting suspicious or trying to avoid payment in any way. I was actually being friendly and conversational during the ride. He even mentioned he was having a boring Easter weekend, so I tried to engage and be polite. That's why the comment felt even more unnecessary and discouraging. On top of that, the driver didn't seem to know where we were going. At one point, he was about to take a turn in the opposite direction, which would have added time (and cost) to my fare. I didn't make a big deal out of it at the time, but it was frustrating--especially since this could have easily been avoided by just entering the address into a GPS. What made it more confusing was that when we arrived, he started chatting with a worker at the laundromat like he knew the area, which made the situation feel inconsistent. I understand that drivers may have had bad experiences in the past, but I don't think it's fair to label or ridicule someone based on how they choose to pay--especially in a world where digital payments are completely normal. As long as someone has the funds and intends to pay, that should be what matters. Honestly, the interaction left me feeling embarrassed and discouraged. After putting in a lot of effort to rebuild my confidence, this really set me back and ended up ruining my weekend. Because of this experience, I don't think I'll be using this service again.

But then I got the bill and was charged two additional hours (they don't stop the clock until the limo is back in the garage--not when you leave it) which was tolerable but they charged me for those two hours at their full rate of $65/hr and not the discounted rate of $50/hr I was given. I also had to pay 20% gratuity automatically for those hours. This was different from what the contract said. I called them out on it and they never got back to me with an answer.

After I talked to the man on the other end he assured me he'd call me back in a few minutes after he talked to the driver to see where he was. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I called back. No answer. About a minute later I got a text message (a text message!) from the man. He was still trying to get in touch with the driver. The driver arrived in a 5-seater Impala, and claimed the van was not available. They made no effort to notify me of this change, and claimed ignorance of my passenger specification. We had to squeeze additional people in without seat belts for a 3 hour (round trip) journey, causing discomfort but more importantly risking health (and perhaps breaking a law - not sure what the local rules are) They did not offer any sort of reimbursement for their mistake. It was an unbranded payment website, so I texted the rep a simple question about whether they took any other forms of payment than the link in the email, just out of curiosity to see if they took stripe/venmo or something more standard/safe. The rep completely blew up on me and cancelled my reservation then was aggressively calling me out over texts saying I was asking them to integrate Stripe and that they couldn't just integrate and accept any form of payment like that from a customer ask.. I was just asking a simple question, I was happy to use the provided payment processor if the answer was no, but they totally blew the whole thing up for no reason.
