First, I received a call back after leaving a message immediately (like within the hour). I called 3 other contractors, 2 of them never returned my call and a third called back after P&R completed the work. Rick came out to my house the very next day to survey the damage and take some measurements. I had an estimate for the work within the week and they started working right after that. Rich and Jake made great recommendations for how to refurbish the basement (suggesting vinyl flooring instead of the carpeting). They installed all the flooring, repaired all of the baseboard, fixed the covering to a load-bearing beam, painted 2 rooms with 3 different paints (2 coats each) and even installed sump pump so that the flooding that happened will not happen again. They did all this work in 1 weeks time and at a great price. They worked hard and were willing to answer all of my novice, homeowner questions the entire time. Since this initial work we have had them reinstall a backsplash for out kitchen counters AND Rick came out on a Sunday, during an emergency where my power breaker was tripping every few minutes. You're simply not going to find a better contractor that P&R. He left the job incomplete and me without a toliet and shower! So unprofessional especially since it's been a week without a shower. I told him not use a vacuum on tile floor since it can leave scratches, he disagreed and stated I need a central vacuum. The next day while cleaning up before leaving he used his "shop" vacuum to clean up my tile. After would he stated "see you need a central vacuum. ". I then noticed dozens of scratches from his metal bottom shop vacuum. It was the end of the day and he had to leave for appointment. I figured we would speak eh next day but nope he mentioned nothing. I texted Sunday that we need to talk Monday about the damages and credit. I told him I would eat the cost of the tile but like a credit for the labor. Monday came and I had an appointment so I left the key. When I got home Ray took his tools, leaving me a bill for $2500 minus $500 for damaged tile. that barley covers the cost of tiling and he spent 5 days installing at $1700. To leave a job incomplete at his stage is unprofessional and not even to talk out a solution that leaves all happy is just wrong.

I needed major help, and Jason was amazing to work with. He was quick and responsive, and got me scheduled right away. He was experienced enough to know what had to be done, honest enough to let me know what I could get away with, and smart enough to plan it all out perfectly. The cat urine one was the real concern, because the two rooms were actually unlivable; I feared that they were a complete loss. Jason managed to perfectly repair and seal everything away, and after that work it was 100% better. Those rooms were done so well that I moved my master bedroom into that space, and it's been wonderful. For floor with fire damage, he came up with a plan that suited my needs exactly: safe, solid, and I didn't care if it was a little ugly. All of Jason's work was well planned, his prices were absolutely reasonable, and the end result couldn't have been better. (Especially the 2 main rooms - I mean WOW, that's been a life changer. Cat urine is basically impossible to just clean away or cover up.) If you have serious work that needs to be done right, call up ATC. When Lucas arrived to do the work, it was just as I was desperately trying to get my husband with ALS from bed to wheelchair. Lucas gently helped transferred him.
