They have walking trails, basketball courts, tennis courts, a few pavilions, children's playground and generally a great vibe in this park. Parks are necessary within our communities. Recently had our son's birthday party here and couldn't recommend the space highly enough. There's great amenities featuring a shady (trees and canopy) play ground with swings, a tot lot, drinking fountains, air conditioned bathrooms located inside their recreation center, and so much parking. The price is reasonable and the large pavilion has fans and lights. Overall this is an outstanding place to host any celebration. read more

Maitland Community Park is a spacious park located in a quiet community in Maitland. There are tons of trees and two separate playground areas. The toddler playground has a perfectly sized play structure and is next to the bathrooms (very convenient). The bathrooms are actually inside the community center so they are nice and have air conditioning! The second playground is for bigger kids and is a lot of fun. There are various slides and areas to climb. There are also swings near it. The park has a lot of additional amenities such as a small walking trail, tennis courts, basketball courts, pavilions, and a small community center. The center has indoor meeting rooms for rent, fitness classes, and even sells snacks. What a fun park in Maitland with great shade for those sunny days! read more

This is an exemplary park. There's a large playground (and a smaller "tot" one near the tennis courts), a large pavilion that's used frequently for birthday parties, hard tennis courts, a basketball court, walking/running paths and a center with bathrooms and an attendant. We often come here for the girls to play and we take tennis lessons with their resident pro, Donnie. Donnie is wonderful with kids and I also take lessons from him. He's helped me learn a much better ground stroke with spin and a more consistent serve. After years spent playing with pros at our country club, it wasn't until working with Donnie that I made a noticeable difference in my play. I highly recommend him. read more

Just the smell of leaves, the nature, and the fresh air should be enough to want to come to this park. I have been here in multiple occasions weather it's walking the dogs or getting a quick run in I have had all good experiences. The water fountain has cool water, but it won't hurt your teeth if you have sensitive teeth like I do. :-) :-) :-) I think that the tennis courts in the basketball courts are just the coolest things. There's a little building in the middle the place that has snack, cold water and nice and clean restrooms. I think the community is pretty nice too. Everyone is very nice and welcoming, except for the rabbits hehe just kidding the rabbits are super friendly along with the cute squirrel you see wrestling around here. The trees are super nice and the area is open and sometimes empty, but that just adds to the peace. If you are interested in socializing, unlike me, they have many events where you can join others and quick game of basketball or tennis. Maitland really prioritizes keeping their parts and facilities clean so poop bags will be provided to those who enjoy walking their dogs and you don't have to worry about stepping on some poo while you're enjoying your nice peaceful walk ;-) ;-) ;-) I hope this review was enough to give this park a try. What a wonderful park! Plenty of space to run and play, balanced with an organized loop, playground, tennis courts, racquetball courts, and basketball courts. There is also a boardwalk at the back of the park that connects to the neighborhood. There is also plenty of parking, which is a bonus! We really enjoy the small playground for little kids. It's very nice to have a small space away for tiny ones. The big playground is covered for the big kids! All in all a great park! read more

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner in the meeting room tonight at Maitland Community Park. Our son and his bride wanted to have the dinner at the park so, as he put it, people can pollinate. Many of their guests have children so the two adjacent playgrounds made an easy way for our families to get acquainted. Despite a hot 93 degrees high today, we were happy we had rented the patio in addition to the air conditioned meeting room. The patio had shade, a nice breeze, and provided a perfect place to gather after 8pm, when meeting room access was over. The meeting room seats only 40 people. We had around 70 -80 people with folks eating on the patio. No alcohol allowed made this an affordable place to gather. I suggest bringing lawn chairs for additional seating around the playground. The staff at the park were incredible. Maria, the woman who rented us the room, provided lots of ideas for table set up and decor. She even texted me photos of ideas on how to decorate the cake, make a simple centerpiece for each table, and how to serve beverages. I was blown away by her keen mind for party planning. The park was a wonderful setting for our families to move around and get to know each other. Having the rehearsal dinner at the park was the bride and groom's brilliant idea. Francesco's Restaurant in Maitland, Florida, five minutes away did a beautiful job catering the dinner. We ordered rigatoni pasta with sautéed broccoli, sun dried tomatoes, with creamy vodka sauce - no vodka in the sauce. It was a wonderful evening and I think guests had a good time. read more

Maitland Community Park is a great park nestled deep in a Maitland neighborhood off of Mayo and Orlando Ave. This park has the typical picnic tables, pavilions and wood/charcoal grills for birthday parties and such. The playground is great with many different levels for kids of all ages and wonderful slides and obstacles that every child would love. They have things for adults also, like multiple tennis courts and a full size basketball court that all levels of players would feel welcomed to play a pick up game. One thing they have that I love is the walking/nature trials. Run, walk or bike along and enjoy the scenery. My only complaint and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the fact that the trials are so small compared to others in Orlando, but everything else is wonderful. read more

This is a nice park in a quaint community we live in so my fiance and I were excited when we discovered they had tennis courts. When we went to play tennis, we were interrupted and told we would have to check in and pay a fee to reserve the court and play there. The rest of the park is free, so it's a nice place to play basketball and so on, but if a public park is going to charge a fee for one of its ammenities, it better be outstanding. If it were an indoor sports facility, I would be more understanding. There are plenty of other parks to play for free in the area so I will be steering clear of this one. read more

The semi-shaded 6 yr old+ play area was well thought out. The level of play my son had was certainly amazing. He was non-stop between the many different slides and the climbing walls! Such a cute little park. The perfect place to go running because the trail has 3 different routes that are a mile long and it keeps you informed of how far you've gone with little signs that say "1/4 mile" "1/2 mile" and so forth. A great place to go for a nice brisk walk as well. The trail is completely surrounded with trees so you don't have to worry about that hot Florida sun beating down on you while you get your workout in. I especially like the park for this reason. Yes, nestled beneath beautiful trees in a residential area lies Maitland Community Park. It's a small and charming park with outdoor playground, benches, tennis courts, and racquetball. Inside the community building is a room where different activities are held. I visited to take a qigong class, which was quite nice actually. Piano lessons were also being held before my class started. Apparently there are activities for seniors available as well. So if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a drive by. read more

Very nice walking trail within a very nice community. I saw a lot of butterflies and squirrels the whole time which was really cool! For the most part it's shaded with trees which helps with the sun. Very relaxing. There are also workout equipment along the trail! read more

Nice city with good citizens and nice homes.Small town but yet still has its own fire department and police department. I drive threw here a lot and enjoy what the city has to offer including a lake near 17-92 with a Farmers Market on the weekends. read more

I came here on a weekday to check it out, it was pretty quiet and there a few people around. If you want to walk or run the trail the trail was nice And what what I found was a plus is The trail has a lot of shade , because of all the trees, and they have different stations for exercise. I came here to walk my dog , as long as you have them on a leash and you clean up after them the park is pet friendly. They also have covered picnic tables with grills to cook out . I do a stroller fit class at this park. Our babies sit in the strollers while we do squats and such. Park is kept clean, tucked away and quiet. It is a very wooded park. Bring bug spray. Even in the heat of the day bugs were trying to get my baby. They have all kinds of stuff to do, grilling, basketball, and tennis. read more
