Merry Pets saved the day . . . they saved my dog! While out of town, I was notified by a passerby to my video doorbell that my dog was out at large. I immediately texted Merry Pets, and got a call back a couple of minutes later. One of their canine professionals was not too far from my house, and went to assess the situation. He searched the nearby streets and located my dog and returned her to my house and ensured she was secure. Merry Pets ensured the safety and well being of my dog. This could have ended very differently, as I live nearby to two busy streets. read more

I used Merrypets for group hikes for my dogs. My dachshund would come home appearing happy, and I assumed he was having a great time. Looking back, I think he was just happy to be home. I started noticing he would growl when I touched him, which was very out of character. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as it worsened, I examined him more closely and was shocked to discover scabbed areas under both of his front legs, resembling severe rugburn. After another hike, I checked him immediately upon return and found his front legs raw and bleeding in multiple spots, with his fur matted in tight knots. I took him to urgent care, and the veterinarian confirmed the wounds were fresh trauma. My dog is 8 years old and very active, but because he's never been off leash before, I had specifically requested that he be kept leashed on hikes. The other dogs were off-leash, and I worry that while trying to keep up with the group, the handler, Caitlin, may have dragged him when he couldn't keep pace. I reached out to Mary for an explanation but received no clear response or indication of concern for my dog's condition. I asked Mary if she would cover the vet bill. Instead, she said she wanted to speak directly with my vet. When I brought that request to my vet, they informed me that she did not have a right to access my pet's medical information due to HIPAA laws. Despite everything, I was kind enough to let the situation go--but I refused to pay the bill for the hike where my dog was injured. Now Mary is charging my account anyway. A good business owner would have shown concern and at the very least offered an apology. Instead, she has shown no empathy and no accountability. This experience was incredibly distressing. I cannot recommend Merrypets based on what happened and how poorly it was handled. My dog has had no more injuries since he stopped going out with Merry Pets. He's happy again and no longer growls at me. read more

I'm not sure if this is just the poor quality person who handles my area (West Valley) snd May not be indicative of the entire staff of this business, but all she had to do was check that the water bowl was clean and with water. My dogs' food needs were taken care of. Apparently, that was too difficult a job because when I returned I see green mold in the water bowl. read more

We have a menagerie of pets... Merry and her crew are ALWAYS so helpful. We use a number of their services, including house sitting, dog hiking, and meals and exercise provision when we are out of town (or not!). They always take great care of our dogs. They are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about dog behavior. On hikes, they make sure to put our dogs with others that they will get along with and help to socialize them better as well as exercise them. When we go out of town, they look after the house and the animals, sending us texts to keep us updated. It's such a relief that the dogs can stay home rather than going to a kennel or unknown home. Merry Speedy the owner of Merry Pets is one the best and most reliable pet services in town. I would highly recommend her and her company to any of my family and friends that need their dogs hiked or walked and their furry animals watched while away on vacation. She was able to accommodate my last minute request of multiple trips in a row without an issue. While on vacation with my family her professional dog hikers sent amazing pictures of my fur babies out on hikes with other dogs and making furry friends. My fur babies are two "high strung and independent" huskies and two adopted rescue cats and Merry Pets has been absolutely amazing and impeccable with their quality of service and love to each and every fur baby. I hired Merrys Pets to watch my two kitties while I was out of town for the weekend. I called and immediately got Merry on the phone. She set me up with a sitter and I made an appointment for the sitter to come check out the house and meet the cats. My sitter was a young sweet girl who had experience with animals and lots of love for them. While I was gone she sent me pictures of my babies every day. I had such a good time away knowing that my kitties were in good hands. My house was out of the area so they charged me a little bit extra but it was still only 20 dollars a day for a house visit to feed the kitties and make sure they were ok. So worth the cost and peace of mind it gave me. I will use Merrys services again! read more

Merry and her staff are wonderful, and my Newfie is always very excited to see them. She (my dog) is always smiling when they return from hiking, and she is always ready for a long nap, indicating that she got a nice workout. I send her three times weekly, and trust Merry completely. During times when we did not send her, such as during an illness, Merry called or texted me to check on her. Merry is very caring, responsible, and she has a terrific attitude, and her success proves it. I only wish she had been in business for my previous dogs. I can't recommend Merry Pets highly enough! My husband and I work long hours and have two big, young, hyper dogs. Merry and her crew have kept our dogs happy and healthy (our vet asked us our secret for keeping our dogs so fit) and our possessions intact (the problems we had been having with chewing disappeared as soon as we hired Merry Pets). The daily hikes are worth every penny, and then some!! You can tell that the staff cares. I've been working from home a few times when the dog walkers have come by, although they haven't known it. Hearing them interact with the pups is neat. They greet the dogs like they're stoked to see them, and then take the time to work on manners (making the dogs sit still before putting their collars on) even though it would be much faster and easier to let them jump around. Sometimes I'll get a text with a picture of the dogs out on the mountain, clearly having an amazing time, which always brightens up my day. My main concern is that the hikes with Merry & Co look like so much fun my dogs must find their weekends on the couch with me pretty boring in comparison. read more

I can't say enough great things about Merry Pets! I hired them to take my dogs on hikes and it was the best thing I cold have ever done for pets and myself. The whole hiking crew is amazing! They love my dogs and take extra special care of them. They send me pictures from the trail which make me super happy when I see they are having so much fun. I had received a very high recommendation from a friend. Everything went great for a few weeks. Then there was a scheduling error and my dog did not get her hike on a day where I was at work for 12 hours. They comped my next hike so I let it go. Even though my pup was not a happy camper. They also lost all of her tags on her collar. But this past week she was brought home with a few burrs in her fur. I let them know and they apologized and I removed them. Then the next day I received text messages about how my dog was covered in the things. When I got home my dog was absolutely miserable. She was scratching like mad and trying to pull them off herself. There were over 40 stuck in her fur. They then text me: Merry- Groomer! We'll all be thankful- including Roxy! Thanks Me-I would have done it sooner but she can't stand staying still that long Merry- Haha, that's funny because her alternative is someone ripping her hair out with the burrs, lol. I highly recommend Merry Pets. I needed someone to take care of my birds while I was away and I was going to board them but either places would not take them or charged some ridiculous price. I found Merry Pets via Yelp and all reviews were excellent. Setting up for Merry Pets to drop by while I was gone was easy and the rate was perfect. Plus my birds could stay in the comfort of the house and not have to be in a strange place. Merry Pets was awesome, super friendly and helpful.
