I took my 1 yr old OEB Wally here yesterday for a free grooming. I picked him up 2 hours later, his right eye was bulging out and had blood all around it. I panicked and asked what happened to him. They told me it wasn't a big deal he was probably stressed out but he'll be fine. If I wanted to take him to the vet and they would pay half. I took him to the emergency vet this morning because BOTH eyes had blood all around them and were pushing out. The vet said it was blunt force trauma to his head or he was choked and it caused him to have sclera hemorrhage's in his eyes as well as an ulcer in one. The manager of k9 would not apologize nor had compassion for me and my dog, they wrote us a check and tried arguing that it was my dog that stressed himself out and they had no fault in his eyes bleeding. I recommend you stay far away from them.

Just got my lil dude home after a few days spent here. He walked inside, drank some water, had a snack, and now he is out. Must have been playing all weekend, a big thanks for watching him over the holiday!

    Disgusting

Disgusting experience we clearly told her to leave our dog space alone and the rest of the body was fine if she needed to go short but it looks like a four-year-old did the job. Also we dropped her off at 11 and we tried to contact her after four hours and her business line was disconnected so we tracked down her personal line and gave her a call she told us that our dog had been cut a couple times so we instantly went to the facility and she said she would be done at 5:30 so we showed up at 5:20 Demanding to see our dog and sure enough our dog came out cowered in the corner and scared. She had three burns and a cut on her and looked as if she had been beaten. The owner honestly deserves to be in jail for animal cruelty. If she couldn't Leave her face then she should have called us and told us that. We are mortified that we let somebody like her go near our dog that we love dearly, she also left her half groomed and butchered. We will also be contacting animal control because she held her dog hostage we had a door until we paid for our services which we had to pay in full after finding out that our dog had been burned and cut open

So happy to be boarded and groomed by Oscar and Rufina!

We are K9 Club Members, which is the best deal to get all the perks they have to offer. Our dogs get so excited when we pull up to drop them off. It is so reassuring that we have a place to take them where they feel loved. We also recommend their training program. Our dogs did a two week course and it changed our lives. Can't recommend them enough!!!!

The online scheduling was convenient, but the website was difficult to navigate and had several features that didn't work properly. The front desk employee was extremely friendly and helpful when I called about signing up for the free 14-day trial. Our first visit was okay, but the baths were disappointing. The dogs still had dirt on their coats, my hands became dirty after petting them, and I had to rewash parts of them at home. I chose not to complain because I wanted to give the facility another chance. At the second visit, our dogs were noticeably more reluctant to enter the building. Staff also informed us that dogs may share kennels, which concerned me even if they're from the same household. When we picked them up, one of my German Shepherds, Violet, had diarrhea, feces on her tail and legs, and fresh abrasions and swelling on her nose that were not present before drop-off. I was never informed during the appointment that she had become sick. I had to clean and bathe her again after getting home. My partner called to express our concerns, and the front desk employee was again kind, apologetic, and said he would pass everything to a supervisor. Unfortunately, my conversation with the supervisor was the complete opposite. Rather than showing empathy, she immediately became defensive, insisted Violet's nose injury existed before the appointment, implied we were providing inaccurate information, and repeatedly focused on my "tone" instead of addressing our concerns. At no point did she apologize or acknowledge how upsetting it was to pick up an injured dog. We decided to cancel the membership during the advertised free trial. We were told it couldn't be canceled until after we were charged and then we'd have to request a refund, which made little sense for a trial period. We were also required to repay the 40% grooming discount that came with the membership. While I expected that part, it was frustrating considering we were canceling because of our experience. I do want to recognize the groomer who groomed our two poodles. She did an excellent job, and I happily tipped her 20%. I also want to commend the front desk employee for being consistently kind and professional. Ultimately, it wasn't the grooming itself that lost our business--it was the lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism from management when concerns were raised. If our concerns had simply been acknowledged and addressed with compassion, we likely would have remained customers. Instead, we'll be taking our dogs elsewhere.

I started noticing he would growl when I touched him, which was very out of character. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as it worsened, I examined him more closely and was shocked to discover scabbed areas under both of his front legs, resembling severe rugburn. After another hike, I checked him immediately upon return and found his front legs raw and bleeding in multiple spots, with his fur matted in tight knots. I took him to urgent care, and the veterinarian confirmed the wounds were fresh trauma. My dog is 8 years old and very active, but because he's never been off leash before, I had specifically requested that he be kept leashed on hikes. The other dogs were off-leash, and I worry that while trying to keep up with the group, the handler, Caitlin, may have dragged him when he couldn't keep pace. I reached out to Mary for an explanation but received no clear response or indication of concern for my dog's condition. I asked Mary if she would cover the vet bill. Instead, she said she wanted to speak directly with my vet. When I brought that request to my vet, they informed me that she did not have a right to access my pet's medical information due to HIPAA laws. Despite everything, I was kind enough to let the situation go--but I refused to pay the bill for the hike where my dog was injured. Now Mary is charging my account anyway. A good business owner would have shown concern and at the very least offered an apology. Instead, she has shown no empathy and no accountability. This experience was incredibly distressing. I cannot recommend Merrypets based on what happened and how poorly it was handled. My dog has had no more injuries since he stopped going out with Merry Pets. He's happy again and no longer growls at me.
