I enrolled my daughter at this preschool back in 2017 when she was 2 years old, and now my son attends as well. All the teachers are wonderful! The principal, Ms. Yvonne, is very hands-on and always available when you need to speak with her. The assistant principal, Ms. Katie, consistently goes above and beyond. Ms. Roy and Ms. C are by far the best teachers your child could have--they ensure the kids are learning every day while having fun, and they care for them genuinely and kindly. I love Merryhill Preschool! When we were looking for childcare for our children, we looked at all types of childcare options. I visited every possible childcare center in the area we live in and nothing was close to as good as the impression Merryhill gave us. You get a warm welcoming vibe as soon as you walk in there. Very friendly staff. I love that they always have different activities for the children to try out. Every month they have a new theme. They go outside 2 times per day which was an important factor to us. You get information and photos regarding your child sent to you daily on an app. It feels great to have this secure place where you can drop off your children and know that they are in good hands. It has not been a year yet but I have to recommend! The staff is super sweet and definitely comforting to my child's needs. I am informed of everything of my child. Our family has been a Merryhill Karitsa family for over a year now. My son started in the infant room and is now in the toddler 1 class. Going back to work after maternity leave was such an overwhelming feeling and I can't tell you how many schools we researched. I've worked in the educational field for over 20 years and I wanted an atmosphere that felt right. Here's a highlight of the many reasons we chose this school: 1. The Links 2 Home App - as a new mom, being away from your baby is extremely hard, however, knowing I could receive photos of my child's school experience, interact with his teachers, and get daily reports on how he was cared for was invaluable to me. 2. Our daughter joined Merryhill Preschool as a three-month-old baby and attended it for three years. Since day one we could see the amount of love, care, and support she received from her teachers and staff. She was always excited to get ready in the morning to play with her friends and teachers. Over time, she collected a great number of beautiful craft and art projects that she made at the school. We are very impressed by the creativity and attentiveness of the teachers. Because we moved, we had to part with Merryhill. We greatly miss everyone working there. We've been at a Merryhill for about 9 months in the 2-3 year old class. The staff are professional and very caring. Toddlers are chaotic by nature, but there is peace in leaving my daughter with the staff knowing she's going to have a fun day of learning and activities. We get a full report each day along with a photo and a quarterly report card on their development. The staff take pride in the cleanliness, safety, and welcoming environment of the school. I feel like if I ever had an issue, Ms. Yvonne and Ms. Ashley have an open door policy and take every family's needs and concerns to heart. Not much more I could add. Our son attended pre-K at Merryhill for a little over a year before starting kindergarten this month. From the first meeting with Ms. Yvonne (the principal), we knew this was the place for us. She was helpful and answered all of our questions. She was always responsive to anything we asked or needed. Ms. Yvonne was very much involved in the day-to-day. MerryHill has been an amazing start for our girls. They both started just at 6 months and now my eldest will be graduating from Pre-K. Throughout nearly 5 years with MerryHill they have been stimulated with learning and development in each milestone from infant to Pre K and we feel the rigorous focus on each child has really made them quite confident and secure in all aspects around learning and creativity. I think the constant open communication provided by our Merryhill regarding our girls on a daily basis via email, text and the one on one during drop off and pick up let's us know they are being looked after. ie: what their learning, emotions, redirecting, nutrition, health. Merryhill has been a lifesaver for my husband and I. We enrolled our infant in daycare just over 6 months ago, when she was only 3.5 months old. The care that she has received at Merryhill since that time has been above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Each of the infant room teachers have been so attentive to her needs. I continue to be amazed at how well they manage everything - the diaper changes, the naps, the feedings, the snuggles, the creative playtime activities and fun songs. Disclaimer: We did not enroll our child so my judgement is based solely off the tour visit that our family took. When the teacher took us to the infant room to show us how it was run, she immediately ran in the room and told one of the care staff to attend a child. There was a little boy in a swing with his face covered by a blanket. He was clearly sleeping but yikes! It seemed that there simply weren't enough teachers for the number of babies. This is a nice, clean, newish facility that opened about the same time that our son was born. At first we took him somewhere else for daycare because it was cheaper, but that turned into a nightmare. We brought him here, and they made the transition very easy. They allowed my wife and son to sit with the infant class and get acclimated before deciding to make the switch. They've always been really nice with our son and I'm satisfied with how they are instructing him. There have been some issues, such as some caregivers who are difficult to understand or are difficult to deal with, or other decisions that we couldn't agree with. However, the management is always willing to deal with us and try to placate our complaints. No deal killers have arisen yet, and I don't forsee any rising. In all, I recommend this school. My son loves it, and that's what's important to me. read more

Brought my infant here a couple of months ago when he was only 4 months old so my girl friend and I were really hesitant because he was so young. When we went over to the facility to check everything out the staff made us feel welcomed. The area was clean and welcoming. We met two of the ladies (Ms. Ruth and Patty) that were going to be taking care of our boy and they were very pleasant. He's now 9 months old and he loves going to daycare everyday. The caretakers smile at him and he smiles back at them whenever he arrives. He doesn't notice and cries for me when I leave so I feel good knowing that he's comfortable and In good hands. read more

Bad experience here. This was my very first time sending my daughter to a daycare and it was HORRIBLE! My 1 year old always came home with scratches and bruises starting from her very first day! and never ended until I had to take her out of the school! which she only stayed for like 3 months and the teachers would say they had no idea where they came from or that another kid did it or that she did it in her sleep, which she has never even done before. Everytime I picked my daughter up the teachers would be on their ipads barely paying attention to the kids. I felt that I was treated differently than the other moms since I am very young (21) and my daughter was not being cared for properly. She would come home super hungry every day and she would cry every time I picked her up and was never excited to go to school. (We dont have ANY of these issues now at her current daycare) She would even have dark circles under her eyes I felt horrible sending her here every day but im a single mom with little support and had to go to work! and when I expressed my concerns to the principal, we had a meeting for an hour where she basically told me how they are understaffed and how this is developmentally normal, then when the meeting was over i went to get my baby from her class and she had fresh scratch marks ALL over her face I almost cried. and there was ONLY 2 kids and 2 teachers in the room!! I STILL have a pile of incident reports from this school and am just really disappointed with how we were treated here. Plus they are so expensive and they dont even feed your kid breakfast! You have to bring them breakfast if you are dropping off in the morning AND snacks. Like what are we even paying for? The fancy tablets they use to send us 1 pic a day of ours kids? Great. read more

I made an appointment to view the facilities for Tuesday at 4 p.m. I received a call from Merry Hill asking to reschedule my appointment. I rescheduled the appointment for Wednesday at 12 p.m. during my lunch break. I received a call this morning again to ask and reschedule. The woman I spoke with was very condescending and rude. She made it sound as though I was inconveniencing her. I spoke with my boss to try and schedule it for 11 a.m. to accommodate Merryhill. I received an email that they would have to reschedule for a different day. I decided not to reschedule the appointment with Merryhill. I feel this is a sign that I should not send my son to this kind of school. Merryhill is providing a service for a large amount of money that is required. They should be accommodating the people who pay them not the other way around. read more

We've had an amazing experience at Merryhill Karitsa! Our oldest went here until Kindergarten, and our two year old currently attends. We moved when our oldest was two and briefly tried a few other care centers but moved him back after some not so great experiences at other places. We honestly didn't realize how great we had it. Ms Yvonne and Ms Ashley are very caring and you can tell that they want the best for all the kids. They are also very concerned about the health and security of their facility. They run a tight ship and always make sure there is someone at the front door to watch everyone coming and going, and to answer questions. They also make sure that the classrooms are always appropriately staffed. And they use green cleaning. The center and classrooms are always very clean. We've also had great experiences with the teachers in our children's classrooms. You can tell everyone cares about the kids. read more

Merryhill Karitsa is the best! I have three children attending now I am absolutely grateful to have all the staff in the lives of my children. It takes a village :). Ms Yvonne is welcoming, loving and warm we just love her. All the teachers are GREAT! My children LOVE going to school. Its a safe environment and I trust that when I am at work my children are well taken care of. The teachers are caring and take interest in your child even after they leave their teaching room. The environment is warm and inviting and I would recommend this Merryhill to anyone looking for a preschool placement for their child. The negative reviews on here just do not match up to what my family or I know the vast majority of other families have experienced at Merryhill Karitsa. There were several teachers who were very nice but it was clear that the majority hated their jobs and often took it out on the children IN FRONT OF PARENTS. My son started going to Merryhill since he 11 months years old and now is 5 years getting ready to transition out. It definitely is bittersweet and do not regret at all keeping in this school the entire time. This was the best decision for my son's schooling that I could have ever done. The administrative staff and the teachers truly have the kids best interest. I became used of flexibility and hours that the daycare stays open until. I knew that I could drop my son off by a certain time and pick him up and that the daycare was always open. For those parents that know how stressful it can be to get your kids transition to the public school system. I am extremely appreciative with Ms. Yvonne for her assistance with making accommodations for my son during this transition. I also would like to thank all the teachers that have helped me son along the years. Each and every single one of you have had such an impact in his life. I currently have a child enroll at this location and I have mix feelings about this daycare. On one hand I love my child's teachers, but on the other hand the administration personel is not so good. They seem to be bother by my questions and can be very rude at times. I am a very hands on mom and I ask lots of questions and I always voice my concerns when sometime is bothering me, but I get that feeling they don't appreciated that. As a first-time new mom I was highly apprehensive about leaving my bundle-of-joy in the care of another, Merryhill is a school where I feel safe and secure! The staff is accommodating for specific care and nutritional requests and they don't mind how many times I call during my work day to check-in and see how my son is doing. I sat with my son today during a break and watched him play and interact with new toys, stimulus and children all which I know are helping him grow and learn and the whole time he had a big cheese-ball excited grin on his face! I don't know where to start....we had a terrible experience at another preschool and to say we were nervous was an understatement. The staff at Merryhill is amazing. Ms. Yvonne is one of the most professional and loving educators I have ever come across. She truly cares for each and every student. Our daughter started Merryhill when she was around 20 months old and was there until she was 4. The only reason we left was because we moved out of state. The teachers there have a passion like no other and I truly feel they loved and cared for our daughter. The education she received is superior compared to other schools. They let her explore her artistic side as well as taught her amazing skills for writing and so many others skills that will help her easily transition into kindergarten. I would highly recommend this school for any age. They take the time to listen to you as a parent over the slightest concern and you can tell the staff truly cares. It's hard as a parent to let someone else watch your child and I left my daughter every morning knowing she was in safe good hands.
