If you have food in you bags (who can't leave Wisconsin without cheese?), they will likely request you to remove it from your baggage during security and put it in a separate tray to avoid a manual luggage check. The rental car desks are in a separate building but it's literally steps away from the baggage claim exit. Pick up and drop off took no more than 5 minutes. Walking to my car took about a minute. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said he was , I asked to speak to his manager and he stated he talked to him and they would not be assisting me. First my flight was delayed over an hour and then I missed the connection flight and my baggage was in Appleton and they used fed ex to send to me which finally arrived today, 4 days after I arrived. This has been an unbelievably bad trip and now I am waiting for AA to replace my bag

Flying in and out of Central Wisconsin Airport, I got the bright idea to stay at this hotel on the…read morenight before our flight and the night of our return flight. Fortunately, my wife hasn't said anything about a divorce following our stay. While convenient to the airport, I'd strongly suggest driving further and paying more to avoid this place. While an acceptable place for a bunch of guys to stay on the way to a weekend fishing trip, I wouldn't take the wife and kids there. The place is old and it shows. It also smells; not in a nice caramel corn way. Our first room was smelly but somewhat clean. Our second room wasn't as smelly but had a tub that wouldn't drain and a ceiling vent black with dust and grime. The water in the sink barely flowed from the faucet. In addition, the bedsheet was stained, as was the bedspread. You really didn't feel comfortable walking in the room without shoes or something covering your feet. In both rooms, there were multiple shades of paint. Despite attempting to cover the water damage to the ceiling (first floor rooms), the painter was unsuccessful. Family stayed in another room and found it devoid of toilet paper. They also had a tv remote with dead batteries. The exterior is also in need of TLC. The parking lot hasn't seen any care for quite awhile. From a security standpoint, the entrance on the east side of the building didn't appear to lock. The clerk at the front desk was nice enough but did not provide any paperwork for either of our stays. My significant other bravely went to the lobby to check out the continental breakfast. She brought back a coffee. It wasn't the worst but one drink was enough. She reported the breakfast area was poorly stocked with anything someone may expect on a continental breakfast. Do yourself a favor, drive further and pay more. You'll be more comfortable in the long run.

If you can afford to travel first or business class then you're not even looking at this review. For those of us who want to save our money for the destination, if Allegiant gets you there you can save considerable amounts of money and fly nonstop from small airport to small airport. The base price is hard to stick to, you have to pay for checked luggage, overhead carryon, being able to board earlier, choose your seat, have a few inches of knee room, in flight beverage or snack, and I can't remember what else. But I can play that game, so they punished me by giving me a center seat on both flights with so little room I was in the tight tuck position off a diving board. But it was a short flight, I was boarded nearly last, and Appleton Wisconsin and Orlando Sanford Airport are such pleasant low volume smaller airports. Parking is very affordable at Appleton which isn't a bad drive from Milwaukee. Sanford is a long way to the resorts on Orlando where renting a car is expensive, rental insurance is as much as the daily rate so even with a reservation ahead of time it's going to be close to $100 a day. I like to use public transportation, but LYNX, the Orlando area bus system is truly awful, so I had to Uber from the airport to the hotel and then back, but I still saved quite a lot of money as compared to flying from Milwaukee to Orlando on any other airline, including Spirit. Here's the most important thing, Allegiant was ON TIME going and coming back. I don't deny the customer service experiences other YELPers have had, but if you look at the reviews for other airlines, I'm afraid that's just what the industry has become.

I had already booked a car rental with Hertz but to my dismay, every car rental agency closes early (like 5pm) on Saturday except for Enterprise. I am SO grateful that Scott stayed until my flight arrived and he sent me on my way with my rental car. He was very nice and I am so grateful to not be stranded at the airport without a ride! Received a text the next day saying he was a call away if I needed anything. Excellent customer service! My only gripe is that I couldn't get the young driver fee waived with my AAA membership like Hertz. Hopefully dropping off the car is as pleasant as picking it up. Thank you Scott!

During bad weather, that's not a good idea as both inbound and outbound flights were delayed or cancelled on my particular trip. I spent 2 extra overnights in cities I hadn't planned to stay and had to fly to Denver just to get back home. The airport is small of course and on a single level. The rental car area is a separate small building but near where a typical rental car area is in these small airports. Once inside security..you have only 2 options for drinks and food. There is also a coffee kiosk. The beer garden at the end of the single concourse is always closed, so good luck going there. The restrooms were clean. Going through TSA was a breeze and all staff I encountered were super friendly which was a nice change of pace from the big city airports.

United was going to knowingly dump me in Chicago without any way to get home from the holidays!?! I immediately left the boarding area once I figured out the disaster I was flying into and went back to the ticket counter, but no one was there for 20 minutes! The best anyone could finally offer was to get me to my destination in 4 days!?! Seriously, I will never fly with United Airlines again, and I strongly recommend no one else flies with them either.
