Let's start with the hospitality upon arriving, warm and genuine greetings from the staff. The ambience of the check-in/gathering space is exactly what you would expect from a central Wisconsin resort, warm/woodsy/cozy. The room, very spacious with a great view to the golf course yet still had that feeling of being secluded. Drinks/food at the Library/Lobby were served again with warm and friendly staff. The old-fashioned was outstanding (sorry Wisconsinites, it was bourbon based). The entire golf experience from the driving range, to the beauty, maintenance and challenge of the course itself and the food/ beverage houses throughout the course were a 10 out of 10. We only had time to view, not experience the tennis/pickleball facilities, which looked fabulous as well. This place is worth the spend. Enjoy!

This La Quinta was a nice find. Although it's on a main street, and near the interstate, it's still on the quite end of the main street and set up higher than the interstate, so you won't have a lot of traffic noise at night. It's a small challenge to get into the lot, as you'll drive past the entrance before you see it. There's really no back entrance, at least not one that you can find at night. The rates here were very reasonable, compared with other, nearby hotels. Despite being a last minute reservation, the hotel clerk was very accommodating, finding me a room on the side opposite the street. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. The noise of the wedding party celebrations going on in the hallway on the first floor never made it up to my floor. The tv remote was a bit wonky, but workable. Of course, since most tvs now don't have buttons to change the channels, having a remote that's temperamental probably isn't going to help you relax if you're the type who likes to fall asleep with the tv. On the other hand, the wi-fi signal was strong and did the job. The breakfast had the standard items and while not fancy, was still enough to get your day started.

At check-in, they told me they knew nothing about the room request . I showed them the confirmation from booking.com . They then proceeded to tell me that they could give me a room with two queen beds but only for one night because they didn't have any rooms with two beds available for the second night of my stay . They did not seem at all motivated to resolve what was clearly their error . Apparently, leaving me stranded with nowhere to stay was not a big deal for them . Do not recommend.

This would of made a great hospitality room and we felt a little guilty we didn't share it as one but we are no longer night owls and need to be in bed by 10 pm. Both times rooms were quiet and comfortable. I'm new to using Holiday Inns and went to do a check in on the app but it wasn't working. They explained to me that if my room is t ready it won't work. Other apps for other hotels will let me ck in and they they let me know when my room is ready. I was there for a 3 day training. My first night there I met up with friends for dinner in the adjoining restaurant. A review was given for that restaurant. The remainder of my meals were catered for our group in the Convention center. I came back two weeks later for a Convention. We had up to 450 attendees. The banquet food for both my stays was fairly good, at my training we had breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was plenty of food and snacks served. The desserts were outstanding! Two out of three breakfast had eggs which I cannot eat but there was plenty of meat, potatoes and bread to make a meal. Only one lunch meal was not as good. It was a salad with sliced chicken breast and the chicken breast was dry and like it had been cooked for a couple days. Our other meals consisted of pork , chicken, salads and pastry. The waitstaff did an excellent job and were friendly and accommodating, This is a nice venue for groups/conventions.

The parking lot is HUGE so you can easily find a spot by the entrance. The receptionist is very nice and friendly!

We went in the pool which wasn't terrible but definitely not the basketball hoop or the frog slide which I'd assume is at the convention center. The noise coming from across the hall which I can only assume will get worse. I highly recommend you avoid this hole. I can only imagine what their continental breakfast had to offer.

Hot Tip: If you want some quiet during the day -- make sure you request a room away from the poolside. My husband was trying to work on his laptop and/or nap in the afternoon -- it was impossible due to the noise level of children in the pool.
