Since then, I've toured many school campuses to enroll her, and I can confidently say that VPS offers an exceptional academic program along with outstanding after-school options. One thing that really stood out to me was the weekly presentations my daughter did. I believe they were based on alphabet items, though I may be mistaken. Regardless, these presentations were wonderful for building confidence and public-speaking skills at an early age. The homework reinforced what the children learned in class, and the at-home projects helped them feel proud and capable just like the "big kids." The after-school programs are excellent. My daughter did imagination station, sprout and blossom, violin lessons, and homework club. It provides strong academic structure while also teaching manners, confidence, and responsibility. The staff is wonderful and truly knows every child. The only downside I experienced was when I requested a transcript for my child while applying to a new schools. I was told that transcripts were not available for those grades. I had asked if they could write a letter indicating they don't have transcripts or to create in for me but neither was done. After that, communication seemed to drop off, and it felt as though we were no longer a priority once we had left the school. Overall, I would still recommend VPS without hesitation. The tuition is also very reasonable for an IB and private school. I truly wish we could return to VPS or find another school just like it.

Like every parent, we simply wanted our son to feel safe, supported, challenged academically, and excited about his future. Unfortunately, our early experiences within the public school system in this area were deeply disappointing. There was bullying, a lack of meaningful support, and moments where we truly felt our child was not being protected or seen in the ways he deserved. Finding Palm Valley School changed everything for our family. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmth, professionalism, inclusion, and genuine care not just from the faculty and administration, but from the other families and students as well. Palm Valley doesn't just educate children. They help them thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. The teachers here are exceptional. The electives and extracurricular programs are incredibly impressive and genuinely future-focused. Whether your child is interested in the arts, leadership, academics, athletics, technology, or community involvement, there are opportunities everywhere. The school creates pathways that truly prepare students for universities, scholarships, and successful futures while still allowing kids to actually enjoy learning. One of the biggest differences we noticed was that learning here feels alive. Our son comes home excited about projects, field trips, discussions, and experiences almost daily. There's a practical, hands-on approach that has helped him grow in confidence and maturity in ways that honestly continue to amaze us. Since enrolling at Palm Valley, our son has absolutely thrived through grades 7, 8, and now 9, and we genuinely look forward to continuing his educational journey here all the way through graduation. No school is perfect, and like every school navigating today's world, Palm Valley has faced challenges. What impressed us most was how professionally and compassionately the board and faculty handled difficult moments. You can genuinely feel that they care deeply about these students and families. Their response during challenging times did not weaken the school community. If anything, it strengthened it. There is resilience, accountability, kindness, and heart here, and it is obvious the students are benefiting from being part of a community that chooses growth and compassion over division. As LGBTQ parents, we cannot overstate what this school has meant to our family. Feeling safe matters. Feeling represented matters. Feeling protected matters. And feeling welcomed without explanation or judgment matters more than people realize. If you are an LGBTQ family considering schools in this area, our advice is simple: do not waste time second-guessing this decision. Learn from our experience. If Palm Valley is a feasible option for your family, enroll your child. And truthfully, this recommendation is not only for LGBTQ families. It is for any family looking for a school that genuinely sees children, supports them, challenges them, protects them, and helps them become excited about who they are and who they are capable of becoming. Palm Valley has been life-changing for our family, and we will always be grateful for that.

The academics was amazing and due to the Love and life of Jesus taught to them... They truly " hid the Word in their hearts" as the bible tells us to. Honestly I could go on and on, but, I wanted to really wanted to share this: my grandson is 3 1/2 yes old. We weren't sure how he was gonna do in school.Because he is a bit rambunctious... Very much an active boy... But he is absolutely loving, loving loving it!! As a grandma.. I asked my son... So when did what do you have to say about his teachers... Is he enjoying it them?Or what did he have to say about them.... my son replied to me, " i asked him if he liked his teachers and he said, NO! ..... I LOVE THEM! " this is a true story, and this just happened the other day....I Busted out laughing with a big smile on my face and heart and literally got goosebumps... I would encourage any parent looking for a school that truly cares and will love and teach their children with Christ being in the center of all of that. I searched Riverside County for a small private school that embraced love for the Lord, love for my children, and academic excellence, I discovered Valley Christian Academy. I have 2 children both of whom are now in high school but each attended Valley Christian Academy. My daughter was at VCA from 1st to 8th Grade and graduated in June of 2022 and my son graduated in June of 2024. I am going to go down a quick list and give a brief overview of the teacher experience. Note: Throughout the years some of the staff has changed. Pre-K: Mrs. Sequiros and Mrs. Cruz: WE MISS YOU TWO!!!!!!: This dynamic duo allowed the introduction of educational games and fun. What I loved most was that they carefully inspected each child's lunch to ensure it was protein-health fueled and snack-efficient. My son was there every day for about 3 hours. Kindergarten: Mrs. Gray: Mrs. Gray was loving, unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to evaluate her teaching style because my son often cried to come home after 3 hours because he wanted to be with 'his mommy'. 1st grade: What I loved most about Mrs. Peacock's class was her sound and expertise ability to train the children on their alphabet and expand their learning abilities beyond their imagination; while still making every child feel as though they were a SUPERSTAR. 2nd Grade: Mrs. Harper: Mrs. Harper was my son's FAVORITE teacher, she attended his graduation and we anticipate seeing her at my son's high school graduation. Mrs. Harper's teaching style is simple and straightforward, all that needs to be done is to follow her direction and your child will surely succeed in her classroom. 3rd Grade: Mrs. Jones, AKA 'Mrs. J': Mrs. J is SUPER SUPER SUPER academically challenging in an excellent way. Mrs. 'J's' teaching method was fast-paced and unique, and I can assure you once your child takes a class from Mrs. J, they will already be talking about their futures. When your child graduates from Mrs. 'J's' class they will have a strong ability to read, write, and become mathematically efficient. Mrs. 'J' makes learning, fun, fun, and fun!!!!! 4th Grade: Mrs. Jones: Mrs. Jones has a very calming approach to teaching. Mrs. Jones is the type of teacher that if your child is not feeling well she will drop off a work assignment at your home. Mrs. Jones will go that extra mile. 5th Grade: Mrs. Mayer AKA 'THE MRS. MAYER': Mrs. Mayer commands respect and will respect you in return. There was no goofing around in her class whatsoever. Mrs. Mayer reminds me of an Army Captain, a Captain to whom every student's grade was earned. My daughter adored and loved Mrs. Mayer and did extremely well in her class. As for my son, he was a bit of a stinker, but they worked through it beautifully. For my son, Mrs. Mayer was more than a teacher but a disciplinarian who truly loved my son, whom she referred to as 'a leader'. 6th 7th & 8th: Mrs. Wong & Miss Michelle: You know those students that need help ALL the time, to the point where it is after school and the teacher needs to get home to their family, but they don't because you have a child or children in your class that need help on that last problem you assigned???? That teacher is Mrs. Wong, always there to make sure your child has a strong grasp on a subject matter, and if your child doesn't Mrs. Wong will let your child and you as the parent realize it, and then suggest several methods and ways that will lead to your child's academic improvement. Last but not least, Miss Michelle: Ok, she's the 'cool young teacher' all the kids love and want to hang out in her classroom anytime possible. Miss Michelle is charismatic and a good teacher, but also someone your child can lean on from-time-to time and when in need. Finally: Thank you Pastor Martin for always having your door open so anyone can talk to you at any time. Thank you for always incorporating HIS word and your testimony to those who listen. Sincerely, S & S's mom.

I've put three children in RAA and have been very satisfied with the supportive staff and camaraderie on campus. Tuition prices are reasonable for a private school and the benefits for your children are unquantifiable compared to the costs/downside of public education. With about 400 students, it's easy for the students to get on sports teams and not feel lost in the shuffle. Transfer students will be welcomed with open arms, as was my son who transferred from public school into 9th grade after witnessing the drugs, violence, and peer pressure that's tolerated in public school. For him, it was a life changing experience when he joined this school and it turned his life around completely. Sports are a big part of RAA and their soccer program has recently been a stand out, earning several championships at the middle school level. In my family's experience, my sister seemed to be singled out more often, which left us feeling that she wasn't being treated fairly. The vice principal, Mrs. Mazo, often singled out my sister for how she looked, with her saying, "You stick out more because you are blonde." After getting dress coded for her cross necklace that was tucked into her shirt. Rather than feeling supported, we felt judged, and it created a negative environment that made it difficult to enjoy being at the school. I hope the administration takes concerns about fairness and equal treatment seriously so future students have a better experience than we did.

Seeing my child grow academically and spiritually for the last four years has been very rewarding, to say the least. As a Teacher myself, I can confidently leave my child with a peace of mind. Another reason why I recommend this place is because of the student to teacher ratio. This is part of the reason why our children are successful. Lastly, I want to commend the teachers and specially the Principal/Teacher here at Grace. She goes above and beyond for our students and the ministry alone at Grace Christian School; her mission and vision are truly admirable. And her leadership is remarkable. She takes her service to this community to another level. A great example of what a great servant of God looks like, trying to make a difference in this world. If you are looking for a passionate leader, that strives her best to take care of your children with love, respect, fairness and compassion, in a safe environment, this is the right place.

HONEST review! When moving back to California, I was anxious…read moreabout where I would begin education for my littles after leaving a small town. By the grace of God Springs Charter Schools entered my radius of heavy searching! My first impression of the campus was to my surprise, "small town vibes." The principal Mrs. Slaten, was so well rounded in her abilities. I knew If I felt safe in her energy, my babies would too! So I signed them up immediately! At the time, I opted to do the learning center 2 days on campus 3 days at home, to see how my kiddos would do. I have 3 children, my oldest began at the Cherry Valley Learning Center program with Springs for the first 2 years. My daughter became old enough to do kindergarten through this same program with our wonderful ES (education specialist) Mrs. Mindy. Whom we'd see monthly to check in on assignments. (We miss her ) My littles excelled and learned so much fun stuff through curriculums of their choice. Soon after my youngest son was coming of age for Kindergarten, I realized, he was not going to be a good candidate for the at-home learning program because he said he wanted teachers and a classroom So I decided to try the academy program, 3 days at school 2 days of at-home learning for all my kiddos. They have been attending the Cherry Valley Campus now for the past 2 years, and LOVE it! Every year seems to get better & better. More resources, optimal changes that cater to the children's needs, educational/fun after-school clubs, REACH Fridays for extra help with HW packets for those at-home learning days, a loving principal & vice principal, CARING teachers, a plethora of activities, and even a food truck for free lunches! Any concerns regarding mild foul language (stupid etc) that might need addressing, get addressed! I love that they pride themselves on Kindness & Respect. We need a lot more of that these days. Overall, the development of this newer Springs location at Cherry Valley Student Center has superseded my expectations. We have nothing but good things to say. I'd rather not post pictures for privacy reasons but if you are on the fence and want a safe, caring, supportive, and educational space for your child/children to learn and thrive, BOTH program options are wonderful! Check it out and see for yourself. Signed- A Mama Bear & her Cubs
