Special mention to Abby who is truly a gem and cares for you as if she was a member of your family. I was very impressed with this place until one person truly made me feel unsafe. The person who deals with your medicines is very unqualified and has no business working with people. When I can't ask a single question about what pills I'm putting in my body without being accosted. The person dealing the meds has a fragile ego and has slammed my pills down and yelled at me. I take maintenance medications that I wasn't getting. The person insisted I received these. I document and know every med that I take. My meds were coming up missing with no explanation. Either someone else received my meds or they were just thrown away. I alerted the people in charge of this and filed a grievance. I sent a follow up to the director and never heard anything back, My room was next to nurses station, so I heard everything. The same person who was handing out the meds was also chief complainer. He complained to everyone and anyone who would listen. I heard same complaints daily. I was even lucky enough to hear conversations about his penis... how professional. Yet, the management in the building prided this person as tracking to be employee of the month. That statement told me right there that it was time to pack my bags and recover at home with in home care and physical therapy at home. Again, beautiful and clean place. Great care from majority of staff. I would totally recommend if you don't require meds. If you do require meds please ask questions and document every pill that you are given.

Abby and Meredith were exceptional and tried to solve any problems quickly Also some nurses that stand out are Jen, Josh, Frank and Daphne I will make one comment that was disturbing. I ordered a black sweatshirt when I was in there and it was stolen off my chair. I checked in the closet, my suitcases and all around the room. it was not there. It cost me $40.00. I guess someone else is enjoying it

My mother lived at Country Meadows for 17 months, under their Independent Living Signature program…read more Unfortunately, we had to move my mother elsewhere when Country Meadows decided to eliminate the IL program, which would have meant we would have had to pay an additional $2,000/month just for someone to administer her medications (the only service she needed) . . . ridiculous!! Then they tried to tell me I only had 3 weeks to move her out, or pay the extra money. Too bad for them I pulled a copy of the lease which said they had to give me written notification AND give me 30-days notice. After I sent an email to Michael Leader, the Mechanicsburg mgmt called me and was not very happy that I went over their heads. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Country Meadows!! They took fantastic care of my mother, and we will miss them. But, I cannot say ANY good things about the management! The Executive Director, Amanda, and the Director of Resident Services, Olivia, are shady and incompetent, and don't care one bit about the residents there. They only care about money! It's so bad that most of the staff don't trust them either! More than once they tried to pull a fast one with me, but luckily I kept copies of every email, every document they sent me. So any time they tried to pull something, I'd call them out on it. I think it's safe to say they didn't like me very much because I didn't put up with their crap! So, if you're thinking about putting a parent in Country Meadows, you'll be very happy with the personal care they'll receive. But make sure you keep copies of ALL communications with management and DO NOT let them push you around!! Ultimately, you know what's best for your parent, so stick to your guns! They will try to convince you your parent needs a higher level of care, just so they can make more money. As much as we will miss the staff at Country Meadows, we were very happy to get out of that place!!!

This review is about the facility at 707 Stumptown Rd Mechanicsburg Pa…read more My father insisted on recovering from gallbladder surgery at this facility. For a number of reasons. 1. My late mother spent a month there doing physical rehab. 2. A number of my father's friends had successfully short stays. (Less then 10days) 3. Dads 10 day stay turned into 3.5 weeks. The reasons are many. Infections, covid 19 protocols and IMHO the MD in charge of the medical staff is poor at best. The medical staff bungled transport for a CT scan for an abcess. The area around the abdominal tube had become infected. The pik line area had also become infected. Proper best practice of dating of cleaning and changing of the pik are and the abdominal port was ignored. Poor communication between Dr and family. Mefical records showing conversations that did not take place. Etc. It took almost 4 hours for Dr to authorize transport to the nearest ED. A ten minute ride at most. Un beeping believable. The ED stabilized my dad. Thank God My recommendation is to stay away from this facility. Your family could be in great danger.

Went on Friday to the Rolls-Royce Foundation in Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania of all places. (The…read moreother foundation is in Northamptonshire, England.) It does a number of things: Keeps records on all Rolls Royces and Bentley's built on one side of the world and who were their owners, restores them, and has a museum with currently 29 cars. Our tour guide Sarah Is one of a couple research librarians there who also gives tours. She was extremely knowledgeable and immensely pleasant during our tour. I thought it would be an interesting experience because I love cars but it was even more than I expected. I went with a few other people that are not into cars at all and they found the museum very interesting and enjoyable too. I really encourage you to check out this hidden gem in Mechanicsburg. No entrance fee but $5 suggested donation. **Make sure you call ahead of time so that you have a tour guide dedicated to you if you want one and to make sure that you can get in because they have a lot of groups that tour the museum on different days.
