I was rudely talked to every day, written up for things like reporting to a family about how the resident was not properly cared for (and he ended up passing a week later) . They are very deceitful , they hide fights , falls and other things from the family . I worked there and would never put my family member there. I worked on third and from the moment I started was bullied and picked on to the point that I was afraid to even come into work. The management singled me out and made me feel horrible. Among all that the residence we're not properly taken care of as the girls on third shift would go outside for most of their shift and leave residence unattended not checking on them or taking them to the bathroom. They're Hygiene was incredibly awful. Residents would walk around with unmatched clothes, hair not combed, teeth not brushed and most never even had their dentures taken out and cleaned. I have been working with the elderly for 15 years and never once in my life have I ever experienced anything like this. I would definitely not recommend this place for employment or for the care of your loved ones.

A special acknowledgment to Tracey, his nurse who kept us informed and provided guidance. She developed a likeness to my dad resulting in him referred to as "buddy". I commend you Tracey for your personal care and knowledge. There are a number of other staff members which I must acknowledge as well. Ashlee, Daphne, Phyllis, Melinda, Dennis, Sara, Maiya, all providing such wonderful care. I am sure there are some names I am overlooking, but know that everyone who had a hand in my dad's care was so kind. The social worker Melinda would address any issue and was so accommodating and always kind. To summarize, The Gardens at Camp Hill is under rated for the level of care provided by such a wonderful staff. Do not overlook this facility in your quest for a place for your loved one.

I've gone in several times to see food and drink spilled on her clothes when she was able to feed herself. We pay a lot of money for mediocre care. Also, my husband was having his mom sign some paperwork and a nurse (Dawn) asks what it was. (Not really her business) and when he made a smart comment, she proceeded to call other family members accusing him of doing something illegal?? THEN the business office says they are reporting him for elder abuse?? He is there daily to feed and visit his mother and is her POA. This is completely unacceptable and adds more stress to a family already dealing seeing their mom declining. This is not what long term care should be like. I would recommend Bethany Village. I've have good experiences at that facility.

My only complaint is that one parking lot wasn't identified as the employee parking lot, where you couldn't gain entry even after touching the screen. Lucky, everything went smoothly and with the support of staff we felt informed and every step of the way. I couldn't have asked for a better support system or birth story. We feel so lucky and fortunate! I will say the only thing that wasn't great was the meals, but hey it is a hospital after all.
