Steve came out to estimate the job and asked all the right questions and listened, because his bid mentioned everything we spoke about. It was clear, concise, and very reasonable. His guys came out to pressure rinse the house and made sure the surface was very clean. Even that step showed attention to detail. Then they went to work, a couple of days later, and the prep work amazed me. Every crack in our stucco (most of which I didn't even notice) was filled. Every gap that had shown up over the years filled. From inside the house I heard sanding, scraping, hammering, more sanding, more scraping... Every lamp and fixture removed or covered carefully. Every single plant, outdoor furniture, our sheds, fence, etc all protected from overspray. Our very weathered 45 year old wood garage sanded (it now looks new). Everything in the prep phase I felt was done more than any other contractor would have done. I could tell that these guys cared about the final result - NOTHING was overlooked, no blemish was brushed-over. The job was tough because we didn't want our gutters or downspouts painted. All of that had to be taped and covered. The underside of the eves were painted, at our request, the color of our trim and that required more difficult taping and covering too. The end result is amazing. All lines cut in perfectly, no mistakes, no paint where it doesn't belong, no plants harmed, not a shred of paper or piece of tape remained. His guys are great too. A very friendly crew who worked their butts off in temperatures that got into the 90's. They were always pleasant and work as a team. They didn't play music or talk on their phones, they worked. As they were cleaning up I saw one of them moving the bark back up against the foundation by hand. It all was THAT important to them for the place to look perfect. So, if you go elsewhere I respectfully say, "Shame on you". I will say without reservation, this is the highest recommendation that I could give for a company. There is no way that we could have done better than these guys.

Allow me to say that hearing this convinced me of the quality and effort Dennis Bonilla and his Left Coast painters would be putting into restoring and painting our Santa Rosa home. This, indeed, was borne out by the excellent job done on our home. Consider: Prep work: Replacing failing siding and dry rot were not something we had really thought about when looking for a company to paint our house. We solicited five bids for the job and found that some companies do not offer repair; we would have to find someone else to do this job before painting could begin. Choosing colors: Dennis was very accommodating and pleasant as we struggled with this. We felt no pressure to make up our minds. Three times he applied multiple sample paints to the house before we came to a decision. Speed: Dennis scheduled our job for a month in advance, which was quick considering what time frames others gave us. Once the job began, there was no dilly-dallying, excuses or no-shows; they were very punctual. It was also going to be performed after Thanksgiving, and we were lucky with the weather--or was it that he had SIX workers on our job? Suffice it to say, the day after it was finished, it poured rain! Their presence: The workers were very tidy, cleaning up and stacking their supplies at the end of each day. They were careful with the plants surrounding the house. And no arguing or music blaring! I liked these men; they were pleasant and open to discussing how the job was going. By the end of the week, I was kind of sorry to see them go! Cost: The bill ultimately came to only $800 over the estimate, which surprised us. Because of one particularly bad spot of dry rot (there's that "poor workmanship" referred to), they had had to brace the ceiling inside the kitchen as a precaution. We had expected some major boost in price, but no. In summary, I would highly recommend Left Coast Painting. They were skilled, tidy, prompt and pleasant.
