We wanted to replace some old cabinets over our washer & dryer in our laundry room so we asked Stan to design some new cabinets that would fill the wall over the washer & dryer, and we had our contractor build out the wall behind the cabinets so that they would be easy to reach into. The resulting cabinets are absolutely gorgeous and very well built. I love the self-closing hinges that automatically close the doors. Stan provided all of the trim around the cabinets which matches them perfectly. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the workmanship provided. Do NOT do business with Cabinets 101. Horrible customer service, tons of problems, and slow to fix problems. Here are a only a few of my issues with Cabinets 101: 1) They installed a wrong door hinge on one of my cabinet door. Totally looked wonky. How did it pass QA? Your guess is as good as mine. They gave me new hinges a few weeks later and I received the wrong door hinges. The doors are now straight, but now I have a big gap between doors 2) They installed a top sliding drawer where the sink goes. How does a sink go in the box with a drawer... Don't know. They took it out and installed a false drawer plate. They added a gap and you could see nails from all side because of the gap. 3) They shorted us on cabinet shelves. I asked for more shelves. I talked to the associate at the asked for my specific sized. I told the 19.25 inches wide. They sent me 19.625 inches wide. So, now I have to cut them shorter. They also shorted me on cabinet shelves hangers. They gave me the wrong size, so I have to buy the correct ones. Stay away from this place read more

Stan helped design the layout of our kitchen based on some rough ideas that we brought in. A few hiccups with getting all the bits and pieces delivered, but the cabinets are great quality so far (especially for the price) and were the most affordable option for getting the custom paint color that we wanted. We also got our quartz countertops through them and the installer, Ricardo, was amazing. Very talented and clever for getting everything to fit correctly in our tricky space. read more

Poor customer service. Rude. Ordered a vanity it was built backwards after making sure it was under stood which side the drawers were to go on. We also had slabs measured and ordered for the bathroom and thought all had been measured. Actually we asked if the front of the tub had been measured as well and they assured that it was. Now that they had to rebuild the vanity properly we are receiving an invoice for the front of the tub slab. Obviously to recover the $$ they will have to spend to rebuild the vanity. We had used them previously for our kitchen and maybe should have learned our lesson there. We received broken slabs and when they replaced them they still had chips and were filled in with goop and went unnoticed for a bit due to the locations of the giant chip. Make sure you check out the slabs really well after install. While the guys are still there. They will not come back to fix. read more

My experience at Cabinets 101 was excellent! Stan and team assisted me with selecting the cabinents... they are knowledgeable, attentive, patient and thorough. Stan's associate came to my house to take the measurements, made suggestions, and assisted me in re-designing my kitchen, while Stan had the in depth knowledge of what to pick, design and color-matching considerations. Our contractor for a bathroom remodel suggested Cabinets 101. Stan, the owner, was very helpful, patient, and warm. The prices were less than what I expected after perusing vanities online. Stan, word of advice: Your customers are the REASON for your day, not the INCONVENIENCE of it. Stop treating them that way. I really wanted to do business here, because their product is great (not value wise, but quality). Problem is, they didn't want my money enough to send me an estimate. I quietly dealt with the condescending way I was spoken to from the start (hey Stan, if I were an expert in kitchen remodels, I'd do it myself and not go to you...instead I just make enough money to pay for the expertise...see how that works?) because my contractor really wanted me to use this place. Stan came over, measured, drew up plans (thanks for those...came in handy for the competitor) and then put me off for a month on an estimate (the easiest part) after several reminders and promises from him. His poor customer service pushed my remodel back months. I've never witnessed so many poor business practices all in one place. read more

Terrible customer service and business practice! I called them based on a friend's recommendation, Stan ( owner) had the personality of a slug, rude and short on the phone. He did come out and was friendlier at my home to measure etc. I didn't need the custom vanity for 3-4 months and he said that was fine, and that I could let him know about 1 month out. I stopped by to pick out the hardware, again, back to rude customer service. I should have went else where immediately, but because of my friend's recommendation, I didn't. Needless to say, I called three times 1 month out when the cabinet was needed, and never heard back. My entire remodel was put back 3 more months because I had to go else where. What a joke! How they stay in business with that sour, rude owner is beyond me! Stay away! read more

You should go to Stan at Cab101 first. Then shop elsewhere , I promise you will go back to Stan to order your cabinets. 101 has many different styles and pricing to fit nearly any budget. We have done 4 kitchens with Stan with nearly no issue and none that could not be solved easily. highly recommended. read more

I had been searching for someone to install a wall of cabinets in my laundry room. Very hard to get companies to respond to phone calls or show up. I went into Cabinets 101 on a Monday. They came out to measure in about 10 days because they are busy. I ordered the cabinets the next week. They came in about a week! The installer delivered to my house the next Monday! I had to have an electrical outlet moved. Got that done quickly, thanks to Lunardi Electrical. Installer came back in 5 days and installed them!! They are beautiful and quality cabinets. Jairo did a wonderful job installing them. Just to have a business show up and follow through with their promises was so impressive! Can't say enough good things about Cabinets 101! read more

Purchased from Cabinets 101, Rohnert Park Hall Bathroom: - Wall cabinet - Vanity w/sink & granite countertop Master Bathroom: - Sink w/granite countertop Issue: Wall cabinet, hall bathroom Missing a peg to hold the shelf Holes for pegs aren't in alignment w/each other. Shelves tilt/wobble, don't lie flat. Holes for pegs aren't all the same size; some too big & pegs fall out, some too small & peg doesn't fit in it. A peg fell out & was lost b/c hole too big. Tried to make due with the defects Didn't use one of the shelves until this week That's when I noticed there was another peg missing. Went to the store today w/ a shelf peg to ask for a few. Stan wasn't there. I was told he wouldn't be back for a couple of hours. The Salesman sitting at the table was very short with me. He told me they didn't have any pegs in the store and told me to go to Home Depot. Another Salesman, said he was new, was more friendly and accommodating & asked if I had bought the cabinets there. He said they could get some pegs & I could come back. I had purchased several hundred dollars of cabinets, granite counter tops & sinks from Cabinets 101. Despite this cabinet being defective, all I wanted were a few shelf pegs, but was treated very rudely by the presumably more senior Salesman. read more

Should have read the reviews. I'm new in town, saw the newspaper ads and went in. Folks inside were pleasant enough. So I made an appointment for Stan to come out and measure. He asked for an early appointment, so even though I have late nights, I made a 7:30 am appointment. By 8:15 he hadn't shown up. Yep the classic NO CALL_NO SHOW. Upon calling to check, I was told he had been sick and just probably "forgot". I made a pact with myself long ago to not do business with vendors such as this: IT NEVER GETS BETTER! I went into Cabinets 101 and asked for Stan. I explained exactly what I wanted done to one of my homes. He said he would get back with me. One week later I called and spoke with Stan. He said he had given it to one of his estimators and they would get back with me. Another week passed. I called and spoke with a gentlemen asking that Stan call me back. No call back. My husband and I where looking to buy cabinets from Cabinets 101, all seemed to be going ok. Then something happened in the production of the cabinets did not happen. I am not even sure that we got the right story, why the production stopped. Then so did the phone calls, telling us something was wrong. Our contractor went in to do finalize the order and found out the cabinets would not be on time. So from then on Stan was not in the store or would not return phone calls. I don't know about anyone else, but that is unacceptable when you are running a business. Yes our kitchen is small and would not bring in the money that a bigger kitchen would. But money is money and I do tell people when I buy my items, so now I will tell people not to go to Cabinets 101 for anything, because you may not hear from anyone in the store and if you are as busy as I am that will not work. I found much better cabinets and I love them more then what they have at cabinets 101. The new ones are so much better quality. read more

Cabinets 101 is terrible! I needed a small hanging bathroom corner cabinet. We went into to Cabinets 101 and by the looks and how they talk to you, you would think that they make almost everything there. Well they don't they order everything from other companies that make cabinets. So we ordered out cabinet and it took 2 weeks. We go pick it up and its all wrapped up and you can see it. We take it home and there are paint drips all over the cabinet and scratch marks. So we take it back and they send it out again to have it fixed. But you would think that when they received it the first time that they would open it and check out the work, but no they don't! We get the cabinet back and it looks fine. We hang it up in our the bottom under the cabinet that you can see now that it's hanging is not painted. So instead of taking it back and having to wait again while they send it out for 2 weeks we just painted it ourselves. We called and told them about the bottom and they said bring it in and we will send it out. No offer of sorry or some kind of refund. I will NEVER go back to them for anything. read more
