Too bad I didn't capture a photo wth horse drawn carriages going by but they do everyday!

Blanca and Dan, the innkeepers, make you feel welcomed. This was our second time. First for my dad's wedding and second for my dad's wedding anniversary. They and all the staff take care of the littlest details from snacks for everyone throughout the day (bowl of cherries, fudge, water/tea/coffee) to bike towels to dry off your bike in the rain to making sure we had dinner reservations for my dad's wedding anniversary. They also gave us permission to use the BBQ grill for dinner one night. They took off stress from our plate. The rooms are cozy with comfortable beds. The gardens and location behind the Main St but still close in proximity to town makes you feel like you are in a different world. Only downside I have is that I'm a foodie and their eggs were a little off. However, they provide a lot of options for breakfast. You can always rely on the oatmeal, granola and fruit! My family will be back.

Lovely B&B. Nice room, clean and comfortable, great porch, delicious breakfast and homemade cookies in the afternoon. Friendly and attentive hosts. Excellent location. We hope to be back.

What a lovely, lovely, lovely place. I felt lucky to be staying there. The service was top notch. The rooms were simply delightful with super comfy beds. They have the most yummy continental breakfast I've ever had. The gardens are the best on the island. It's just behind the main drag, so it's a little more peaceful but you still get horse drawn carts going past all the time. I really don't know what else to say. It is just such a wonderful place. I will certainly be staying there again.

Great place to stay. Beautiful landscaping on the outside.Very clean facility and friendly staff. Breakfast was tasty. Right in the heart of Mackinac. Easy to go shopping and hang out with friends.

Nice rooms. This a a queen bed

Beautiful inn inside and out. You get a full breakfast and at 3pm they have cookies and coffee. The innkeepers are great and friendly. It's in the best location to to Main street, the fort and the Grand Hotel. We will be back.

Kristen (the innkeeper) had a couple of interns (Bess and Tara) with her during our stay. All of them were helpful and friendly. The weekend was unseasonably cold, so we spent a lot of time in our cozy garden suite. Breakfast in our room both mornings was wonderful, and Kristen even told my friend the secret to her delicious coffee (I don't drink coffee and was only ordering so my friend would have double! LOL). I was initially really excited at the availability of Grand Hotel passes, since I've never been inside, but we never really ventured that far in the cold. After having such a great weekend even in miserable weather, I'm looking forward to heading back again with the family this summer.

Small Point has a wonderful wrap around front porch to hang out on, we enjoyed watching the beautiful waters from it. I got up early (around 515am) and walked across the field to the water and watched the sunrise. I'd suggest everyone do this..it was so peaceful and calming. I'd suggest Small Point to anyone, very clean, homey and reasonable in costs.

When I called to finalize our booking, my wife had already spoken to someone named Rose. I called back so we could both speak with her and go over a few questions before booking the room. The woman on the phone Rose was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She explained everything clearly: when meals were served, how we could get our luggage to the hotel, and what to expect during our stay. She made such a good impression over the phone that we were really excited to stay there. Since there weren't any porters available when we arrived, we walked our bags to the hotel. It wasn't a far walk, and once we got there, we were greeted by Rose at the front desk. She checked us in, asked how many keys we wanted, and directed us to our room. The room was clean and looked just like it did online. It's an older property, so we weren't expecting a 5 start hotel, and that was fine with us. However, the first night I noticed a small spider on the bed. I didn't think much of it at first, old building, things happens. But every night after that and even during the day, I had to kill spiders. This went on every single day of our 3-night stay. My wife was terrified because she doesn't like bugs, especially ones crawling around the room. That alone made it hard for her to relax. The bed was a king, but the pillows were queen-sized and not good at all. We both left with sore necks. By the last night, we were just ready to go. Here's a quick breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: * Great location--close to shops, restaurants, and local spots. * The staff--Rose, Norman, and everyone we encountered were incredibly welcoming and helpful. * Master SuitesRooms are spacious, and they provide plenty of towels. * Room service is available for fresh linens. * Breakfast was good, two out of the three mornings were great. * Master suites have large jetted tubs with a nice view, which is nice. Cons: * Spiders were everywhere--inside the room, around the stairwells, and all over the balcony. * The balcony was unusable because of the number of small flies and spiders outside. * The showerhead had poor pressure and didn't spray evenly. * Furniture felt old and fragile, definitely due for an update. * Pillows were uncomfortable and left us sore. * The property, while good in its age, is overpriced for how old and worn-down it is. You're not getting your money's worth in terms of comfort or amenities. If I were rating our stay based on service alone, this would be a solid 5-star review. The staff truly went above and beyond. But when adding in the condition of the property and the overall comfort of the stay, I have to give it 3 stars. The negatives outweighed the positives, and unfortunately, we won't be returning.

The new room was spacious, clean and with a window air conditioner unit that was quiet plus did not take up room space. I understand the resort had extremely limited availability. The bathroom is unbelievably outdated and tiny. You hear the conversations of the rooms next to you along with all the noise in the hall. The rooms are far from the Main office. They have portable a/c units in the room, they are very loud. No AC in the hallways so the 3rd floor was muggy and humid. The bathroom was gross with a stained ceiling, a horrible shower head with no pressure and water filling up the tub while it's running. The toilet was crooked and slanted, the wallpaper was peeling. The room itself wasn't luxury at all, it felt like a motel 8. The pool was also a big joke. We were excited to get in and saw the size and the environment and felt like it was gross. The foods options were lame, the concrete around the building was broken and in need of repair. The elevator was old and slow, it needed paint. lol. It's not worth the money, they need to reduce the price a lot or redo the lodge. Gross.
