NEVER EVER USE THIS CAB COMPANY ... EVER!!!!! I called them the night before for a ride to the airport at 9:30 in the morning. They took my name, phone # and address and said we were all set for a 9:30 pickup. My kids were so excited to go to the airport because we were flying out to visit their grandparents ... we thought. 9:30 comes and goes. I call the company ... busy signal. I call again .. busy signal again. I finally get through and THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF MY RESERVATION!!!! They can't send someone out for another hour! He asked me if I was sure that I was calling the same place with whom I had made the reservation. I told him that I had just used redial!!! (I'm getting angry just writing about it.) I reserved a ride to Logan airport for a very early 2:45 am pick up. They no showed. I called the phone number and got an answering machine. I could not leave a message because the voicemail was full. I had to scramble to get another cab. I barely made my flight. Forget all the fluffy reviews about how nice the car smelled or how funny the driver was. The bottom line is they need to show up. read more

I only called back to tell off your disgraceful employee after he cursed me and hung up the phone. As for your extremely delayed service I believe there is no need for my review, other reviews speak for themselves. Cab never showed. Had to pay for a week of parking at the airport. Even called and verified early morning pick up the night before.

Everything negative you read about for Metric Cab is true. I wanted to give them the benefit of a doubt and give them a try. What a big mistake it was. I reserved a taxi well in advanced to go to the airport. The taxi was a no show at the 4:30pm time I requested. Not only did I not get a phone call, I was left waiting to no avail. Apparently, the driver assigned failed by not giving himself enough time to get to my residence, and further compounded it by not reporting to the taxi dispatcher his delayed arrival, and furthermore did not communicate it back to me. I tried repeatedly to call the telephone number, but no one picked up and I got an answering machine with no call back. Needless to say, it was an extremely frustrating experience for me -- I can't imagine how other customers must have felt in similar situations. Thankfully, I had a backup plan to get to the airport in case this failed, which it did. Someone did text me after the fact to convey their sincere apologies, but by then, it's too late. Missing a flight is a fairly expensive proposition in exchange for a complimentary ride to make up for a lack of service, lack of communication,lack of arrival (no show), and of course lack of punctuality. It's been my utmost displeasure of ever thinking to try this service. I suggest folks to avoid this taxi service at all cost unless they're right there in the neighborhood already waiting for you. Uh this place sucks. My family always used Arlington Yellow Cab to get from Lexington to the airport and decided to switch it up just this once because we need a van. Horrible choice. We ordered a van for 4:45am pick up and no one ever showed. Additionally their phone line at that time of day is just leads to voicemail, how is that helpful? This is completely unprofessional and we had to scramble to find a way go get to the airport ASAP. Not how anyone wants to start their vacation. Wi never use them again. read more

Extremely unreliable cab company. Called and reserved a cab for an early Sunday morning to get to the airport. The guy who answered took my name address and phone number. Not only did they never show up, but their one phone number for their cab company went straight to voicemail. What 24/7 cab company has their business go to voicemail? Don't ever bother calling them for a ride if you actually need a cab. I ended up calling yellow cab in Medford and they had someone over to me in 5 minutes. Totally saved me from missing my 7am flight! Metric cab is extremely unprofessional and gives Terrible service. They probably had their relatives writing in the only good reviews they have on here. If I could I'd give them less than 1 star! Please go elsewhere if you need a cab. read more

Dude, what the hell? Why so many negative reviews!? I think this company is great! I have used metric-cab at least 7 times to go to Logan airport and once back from Logan. I had 5 different drivers total, except for one quiet driver (quiet but wasn't rude) i had good conversations with all of them. They never missed my appointment the latest they ever run past scheduled time was like 8min which was no big deal. I'm quite confused why there are so many negatives because i never had negative experiences. People need to understand taxi drivers work around the clock some easily work 12+ hrs a day. Anyhow, regardless the reviews I personally had good taxi experience from this company and I plan to continue using them. Also they do have the lowest fare around. Promised a flat rate from Woburn to Logan. Because he picked me up a couple of street out of the town, he informed me AFTER departure that the flat rate was not valid. Ended up paying 80$. No worries, I'll survive but I would have gone without him yelling and screaming at me to make his point! No class whatsoever. I forgot, he was 25 minutes late to pick me up! UPDATE: On the 21 of November, Michael K. of Metric Cab replied to my post publicly giving my personal address where he had to pick me up and still argued that I advised me of the charges. This is not the issue. I was advised AFTER the fact and this was the problem, along with the fact that he was not polite. Obviously, with this company, confidentiality is the least of their concern and the client is ALWAYS WRONG!!! Michael provides a good service if he shows. He has cancelled one pick up after he had confirmed it and did not show up for two scheduled pick ups at Logan. The first one he missed, he said he was on his way during two phone calls I made to him as I waited. The third call he said he had already done the pick up! I was still standing there at Terminal E. Right on time! On Saturday I scheduled a 5:30 am pick up for Sunday. Received email, text and phone confirmation. Cab was at my house a few minutes early, very clean, and driver was quiet and professional. Flat rate to Logan is very competitive. All around a great experience. read more

Concerning the issue with my father passing away, the driver failed to show up and it cost me 1000.00 to rebook the flight. The manager sent me a private message claiming not to have any information concerning the issue and that I possibly made a mistake and called the wrong company. Not sure why the ratings are so low. The worst ride I had was like 4 minutes late, the driver passed my house to the end of the very short street, and he didn't have a receipt. But they always get me to Logan on time, and the fare from Medford is the best. read more

I called for a ride into Boston today because the bus I was going to take never showed up. I was 4.7 miles away from my destination, and the navigation system on my phone said it should take 16 minutes. I called 40 minutes before my appointment. 20 minutes later, the cab's there, fantastic. The driver didn't know where Beacon Street in Boston was - less fantastic. I texted to let the person I was meeting know that I was in a cab, and looked up to find the cab on the on ramp for 93 instead of on the untrafficked surface streets. We sat in bumper to bumper traffic barely moving for an hour. That's not an exaggeration. This was an hour long cab ride to go 4.7 miles. Eventually I wound up calling and canceling the appointment and asked to be let off on the first surface street the driver reached - and he kept driving, and kept driving, and kept driving. I'm really thrilled with the $42 fare for something that all the taxi calculators are saying should have been $22, including tip. read more

I needed a taxi to take me to Logan Airport and also pick me up there 4 days later to take me back home to Burlington. I searched online and came across Metric Cab in Medford. I called and talked to the manager, Michael. He was very friendly and polite. I told him I had to be at the airport at 5:30 AM and would his company be reliable to pick me up at 5 AM to get me there on time. He told me "100 per cent" that the taxi would be there on time and the driver arrived at exactly 5 AM. I also gave him my return flight number and the taxi was waiting for me when I got off the plane. Now that's great service when someone tells you that they are going to be there and they keep their word. read more

My wife called them the night before and made an app't to get a ride to the airport at 6am next morning. Next morning: no-show and no answer at the number she called to reserve the night before. Sometimes you only get one chance and that was theirs. read more

Called for a 5am van to the airport and thought it was all set. The van never showed up and I called their phone (which is advertised as 24/7) multiple times and they didn't answer. Could have missed our flight if we hadn't been able to call an uber. Never using this service again. read more

I called last Thursday morning 3/20/2014 to schedule for next day Friday 8:00 am pick up. The guy on the phone assured me the cab would be on time. Friday morning 8:00 am, no cab. I called at 8:10, the operator told me he would call the driver and call me right back. He did call me right back and said the driver would be arriving in 5 min. The cab didn't show up until 8:30, 30 min past the set time. When the cab did show up we had to give the driver directions to our destination. Note: We were only going to the Oak Grove T Station just over 2 miles away. This is a Cab Co located in Medford, the guy was not on time to pick us up and didn't know how to get to a very well-known location a short distance away. read more

Called this place a month ago for a 6 minute ride . Told me it would be ten mins to get a cab . Took 45 mins . Then the cab gets here and sees us coming out and decide to honk his horn like a jerk . Then takes us a long way to get more money . Certainly won't be calling here anymore . read more

The owner of the cab company is great and tries everything possible to make his customers happy. I travel every week and was nice to know I had a flat rate to their airport and they also picked me up several times. The drivers were not always the best. When the tunnel was closed the driver didn't seem like he knew how to get to the airport. I spoke to the owner and he took care of the frustration I had experienced. I would recommend then. The cars are clean and do their best to provide good service. There are much worse cab companies out there and Metric is one of the better ones. read more

Very good, ahead of schedule, and very patient with me, as I had to make last-minute arrangements for someone else, and wasn't able to get the information to them until about thirty minutes before the scheduled pick-up.
