Natalie was so helpful from the office at every point and always so nice also. Sean came out to measure and he helped us choose a design and color (they had so many great options). He was very knowledgeable about the products and design styles and had a great eye for the overall aesthetic, and so friendly. You can see out of the screen perfectly from the inside, but can only see inside if your face is pressed against the screen. The privacy factor wasn't as important to us, we mostly wanted the airflow. The screen looks beautiful and adds so much airflow and light to our house without our pets being able to burst through. Just about 6 weeks from ordering to install was pretty quick turnaround, as even ordering a screen from Lowe's would have been 6-8 weeks just for delivery. Steep price due to our extra tall doors, but comparable to other vendors. XL doors come with XL costs. Not having to install it, redo the stucco ourselves, or worry about break ins or rust with their guarantees was 100% worth the price.

Top notch experience with the sales, communication, and installation from beginning to end…read more I did a bunch of research on security door options in the Sacramento area, getting quotes from all of the available installers I could find. I think most companies receive their products from the same few dealers out of the area, so all of the other factors - sales, recommendations, follow-up, and installation are where Steve's really shines. Their salesman was a zero-pressure, information-forward gentleman who provided plenty of options and recommendations that would fit our front door and window setup. The front desk staff/logistics/admin were friendly, happy to chat with us, and flexible when it came to scheduling and planning. The installers are absolutely top-notch - these really feel like "local guys from the neighborhood" who care about making sure their work is here to last and be permanent. Just because the main offices aren't in Sacramento doesn't mean they don't care about each customer, regardless of where they're located. The final product is absolutely top notch, and we use everything on a regular basis. We get compliments and have sent friends to Steve's for referrals. Their whole product/installation is a perfect example of buy-nice-or-buy-twice - expensive, but arguably worth it overall.

I've hated my interior doors since moving in but never got around to looking for replacement…read moreoptions. For context, my existing doors were the original 1993 hollow-core slabs--plain, dated, and not doing the house any favors. I first asked a local contractor for his take. While he said he could handle it, he suggested going with a company that specializes exclusively in doors. Not long after, my social media feed started serving up options, and I ultimately chose **One Day Doors & Closets of Sacramento** for an initial consultation. The process was straightforward from start to finish. A representative came out within a week to take preliminary measurements, then invited me to their Rocklin showroom to review styles and finishes in person. I selected a three-panel design and a color that closely matched my existing palette. About a week later, an installer returned to take precise measurements of each opening. They custom-cut each door to fit the existing frames and hinge locations. A few weeks after that, installation day arrived--and within a few hours, everything was complete. They also upgraded the hinges to brushed nickel to match my existing hardware. The difference is substantial. The new doors are solid, noticeably quieter, and significantly more attractive. Overall, a very positive experience from consultation through installation.

My closet doors are installed, but I wish they weren't. My wife and I were promised custom closet…read moredoors with 3D laser measurement. When the installer arrived to take the measurements, he pulled out a tape measure. Confused, we followed up with Monika and were told that the 3D technology is only used for customers with swing doors. My contract specifically said that laser measurement was included, but that wasn't delivered. Install day: - 1 door was painted the wrong color and had to be sent back - The 3 other closet doors were hung crooked - The installer damaged my floors by screwing in guides rather than using the adhesive option we were promised and left gashes in the flooring when bringing the doors in - A 4.5" unfinished trim board (which Monika never discussed with us) was installed across the top of the closets When my wife asked the installer about these concerns, he blamed Monika for not communicating with him better. While he did apologize for the door being the wrong color, he tried to convince my wife that screwing the guides into the subfloor was the optimal approach and that our flooring contactor had lied to us when they suggested not to screw into a floating floor, but he agreed to come back the next day with adhesive to fix his mistake. After sending an email to Monika documenting these problems, she offered to reduce our remaining balance and promised to send the installer back "until we were happy." Install day 2: - I called to check in on the progress and my wife let me speak with the installer. He skirted the issue of the crooked doors by blaming the existing closet framing. I acknowledged that my house isn't perfectly square and achieving perfection wasn't possible but I asked him to get it as close as he could. He responded, "I can see you're going to be meticulous about this so I can just leave the guide with the tape and you can do it yourself" - which felt like a complete lack of professionalism - The adhesive tape is clearly visible under the guides to cover the screw holes in my flooring that went unpatched - The doors are still not level with visible gapping - Sawdust kept forming as the doors were opened and closed because they drilled the door pull holes all the way through and forgot to put hardware on the interior holes. Hardware had to be delivered the next day to fix this issue. There was nothing that felt "custom" about this experience and it definitely wasn't a "one day" project. Monika made apologies, but that doesn't change the lack of quality in the doors, the misleading website claims, or the exhausting install issues.
