And after getting quoted for how much dealers are willing to pay for the car I'm down over 20k on what I bought the car for from him. Please bring a mechanic or someone to inspect the car he is selling you. Out of many used cars I have owned I have never felt this cheated out of money.

During one of my daily searches on Auto Trader a new listing popped up for Mark Weinstein Motors. It was a "unicorn" vehicle - rare in existence - an older model, incredibly low mileage, in fantastic shape (barely driven) and the listed price was in the KBB green price range (either good or great price for the vehicle's value). I reached out to Mark, who was quick to answer any and all my questions. I was in Houston and I couldn't make the trip to Austin to see the vehicle until the weekend, but he graciously agreed to hold the vehicle for me without any downpayment once I had set an appointment for a third party inspection. Despite receiving other inquiries about the vehicle, he held it for me for almost a week and even stayed a little late on Friday for my husband's and my arrival into town. The test drive and purchase process were smooth and straightforward. Mark explained everything thoroughly and even went the extra step of fixing the temporary paper license plate on top of an old metal plate to make it more secure. I decided to wait for my vehicle and was disappointed that I was not given an estimate of when the car would be ready. I've had other makes of cars, and those dealers always provided that. When my vehicle was ready, my advisor came to me and let me know that nothing was found, and provided the extra information I had requested at check in. I received a text that allowed me to sign my invoice, but I was also sent to the counter, where an invoice was presented, so I had that option too. Lexus has a coffee shop for customers, and here's where this review loses stars. The employee working was cold and unfriendly. She wouldn't smile. She wouldn't engage with anyone. When no customer was at the counter, she stood around, looking unhappy. When I got in line for a second time to get a refill she made me feel like I was bothering her. This is not the Lexus service I expected. On top of that, while I was in line that second time, an employee came in through the back of the café area and asked about getting food, asking about the last muffin in the case. She said he could have it and take it. So, he did. There were four of us in line. What if one of the customers in line wanted it? Overall, this is not Lexus level service.

The complaints stem from both the sales and service aspects. You may wish to scroll through all the one star reviews so as to avoid any possible pitfalls yourself. As for me, I've not had any problems and I usually have a list of things I would like addressed upon arrival as far as maintenance goes. One thing I noticed that's new is that when you check in it's likely you'll get a call from the sales department asking if you wish to have your car appraised to sell to them (I did). To be honest, I wouldn't buy a new Lexus today with all those small four-cylinder turbo engines and the new spyware cameras that watch you driving. I love my 2010 ES 350 and I wish they still made them like this. I'd definitely buy another one. My visit consisted of a 30 point inspection, drain and fill transmission service and serpentine belt inspection. I did ask to see a sample of the tranny fluid to see how dark it was since the car comes with no dipstick, but they forgot my request. They did run into a problem with the drain plug being stripped from the previous tranny shop so they had to get one from the Toyota location which added an extra hour and a half to my wait. Altogether the inspection and trans service set me back $532. It would've been nice if the inspection included a diagnostic scan to check for any codes. Overall, everything went well, and Harold my advisor was very attentive. You'll pay a little more here than the average shop, but at least you get the right parts and fluids. I'll be back when I need something else fixed.

I want to share my experience so other consumers are aware and can protect themselves…read more On January 23, 2026 I took possession of a vehicle from this dealership after placing a $2,100 down payment while financing was being finalized. When the bank did not approve the loan, I returned the vehicle on February 4, 2026 as instructed. I was told my down payment would be refunded minus the mileage I used. However, the dealership claimed I drove over 1,000 miles and deducted that amount from my refund. I have timestamped photo evidence showing the odometer reading 74,182 miles at the time I left the dealership. When I returned the vehicle, it showed only about 300 miles driven. The documentation the dealership provided to justify their numbers was a state inspection dated December 27, 2025. I didn't even step foot on their lot to look at vehicles until January 19th. They also deducted a $150 detailing fee even though the vehicle was not clean when I picked it up and had liquid leaking inside the car. I was told to return to the dealership for a detailing but it never happened before returning the vehicle. After weeks of trying to resolve this directly, the dealership said they mailed my refund check. When it arrived, the check had the wrong name, was misspelled, and was not dated, so the bank refused to accept it. I am still attempting to resolve this situation and have filed a formal complaint with the BBB. I recommend that anyone doing business here take photos of the odometer and keep copies of all paperwork.
