The staff is decent for the most part. However, I have an issue with something else. They have a great promo. If you have your oil changed, you get a free car wash. Which is a BIG reason I go there. In addition, after your seventh oil change, you get the next onw free. However, on that free oil change, you are NOT entitled to the frew car wash! Wow. Just to level set my review, 3 stars is you accomplished the purpose of my visit with no issues. Now, They lost my front Weathertech mats, they didn't offer to replace them. Since, I ordered them on Amazon, I had a receipt. The workers cared more than the manager. The manager, I will say in his defense, did check but the workers cared more than him. They couldn't find them onsite so they may have gone out with someone else's car. And what good are you as a manager if all you did was ask the guys about the Mats and don't make it better. Get off your phone and manage otherwise, it just looks like you are standing there trying to look busy. When he came to look at the car he didn't know that post interior the center console was dirty and the passenger seat wasn't completely cleaned, as I sit here in Home Depot parking lot next door writing this. Their mechanics have been good and I do get a lot of work done here between both of the family cars but after this, I will be back but I will be looking at the other spot that some of their mechanics work at. I will obviously come back because I'm not going go out of my way because most car washes in the area are only adequate. But they just lost mats that are going to cost me $150 to replace. At this point the exterior is no better than an automated car wash. I will though, begin leaving a car wash review every time. Stopped in for a NY Inspection for my wife who was away with her mother. I also asked if the 2019 Forester needed an oil change. Lead mechanic replied it has been 7,000 miles and should be changed every 5,000. I said ok do it, but then he called me back and said the oil was very dirty and that he highly recommends an engine clean service and a direct injector cleaning service because the oil change was at 7,000 miles. I asked are you sure about that and he pointed to his computer which showed them as suggested services. I said ok. So I went from $39 to $339 in total. When I got home my son told me he personally changed the oil and filter on the car about 1,000 miles ago. Tried getting some of this money back but no success. Lesson learned: They don't really check the oil condition before recommending other services. It's purely circumstantial based on computer info and upselling training. I messed up for not asking to see proof of the "dirty oil". Please don't make my mistake. We own 3 cars and were customer for years, but my son and wife now know the true level of their care in handling customers. We are looking for a new service company now. read more

Beware of this place when getting any oil change. I had two cars to change the oil and get a new York state inspection. The first car I brought it and left for a bit while they the inspection and oil change. They were done by the time I got back. the price was around 108 dollars. 37 dollars for inspection. The second car, I stood in the place. It's a newer car so expected to pay a bit more. Well, first I get asked if I wanted cheap oil or some better oil. I Chose castrol. Ok. More money. I wait a bit more and I notice on the console by the cashier there is the screen with the list of cars and their prices. I see my car and the price is 200. I asked why. 97 dollars for oil change and 37 for inspection. What else? Well out they come with some filthy air filter that looked like it had been dipped in mud with leaves coming out of it and explained that that needed to be changed and that's why it was that price. I said I didn't want that. They tried to convince me that that was the air I was breathing. I just wanted an oil change and inspection, not some scare tactics and an aggravation. They mechanic who completed my oil change was cool and just did the work. He really didn't have that much to do since I have a newer vehicle so I wasn't expecting any "oh, this needs to be replaced or this is getting old." lol My car was overdue for a car wash and I was excited about getting it clean. On December 26th I came in for a car wash at Metro Wash & Lube. As I pulled up to the entrance I told the man taking down the kind if washes each car wanted & I let him know what I needed very polite man. I proceeded to pull up my car where they put the first layer of soap, there was a car in front of me. I waited until the next car was able to hook onto the machine. I stayed their put since I drive a Tesla they asked me to stay in the car their was a attendant to the left of me he walked away & I was stuck there waiting for instructions to be guided into the ramp. Since the employee to the left was in such a rush to move onto the next vehicle behind me. One of the employees in charged of spraying soap on my car needed to help me since I had no one to help guide me. Which clearly is not his job & didn't know what he was doing. Thank god for my dash cam where Imm about to show actual proof of what happened inside Metro Wash. You can clearly see him assuming a role that is not his to move forward. In that very moment I followed all his instructions & boom I felt like something was wrong I heard hard metal scraping across the too right of my car.... As if I had hit something however the employees kept doing their job & started praying soap all over my car. I was in neutral & couldn't open my window to let them know. As I was turning out I immediately opened the door, looked at my rim & exactly what I had thought happened....happened. Once I saw what I had happened i obviously kept my cool about the whole situation because at the end of the day it's a piece of metal & it's materialistic it can just be fixed no big deal. I went inside to inform the cashier of who was the manager in charge due to the fact you don't come to a car wash spend $80 for a premium car wash to walk away with a scuffed rim. I obviously knew they must have a sister shop that help them out when certain situations like these occur. I was directed to Antonio who I spoke to & immediately spoke to informed him of my situation. 1st thing he did was just brush off the whole situation, you were driving not our problem. I was like wait give me a chance to explain to you what happened. Since I came to him very calm & I was not upset nor angry it happened. Things happen & it's your machinery that couldn't fit my rim. I had live proof of the situation that happened & he said you can do what you want with all that information. At the end he said listen come tomorrow to speak to Fernando the owner of the shop. I myself own 2 automotive-repair shops, 1 garage door company & a multi specialty dental office so I already knew the ring around he was about to give me. I informed Antonio listen man, it's not worth having an upset customer over something that's clearly the car washes fault. Rectifying a situation of a cost of $300-$500 for a business is pennies compared to the value of word of mouth is. At the very end of it all, I was given the "Fernando stated, there is a reason he bas Antonio in charge & he doesn't want to be bothered with minor inconveniences". That might be one of the biggest egotistical statements I have ever heard as a boss. A true boss understand the fault that has happened & would want his returning customer to have nothing but good things to say about his establishment & staff. Perhaps that statement wasn't even something that came from Fernando & might not be even aware of the situation. At the root of the problem is that they thought I could just be brushed away however I'm a fellow business owner who understands good business practice. Truly disappointing experience after being there several times. Didn't expect my $80 car wash to come with a side of 'Free Scratch your rim service'.. To all luxury sedans, suvs etc stay away. My car wash was a waste of time and money. I paid for the service to clean the windows and vacuum the car. Somehow they emptied the dirt in the front passenger sent when vacuuming and left the windows so cloudy that I couldn't see well when the sunlight hit the windows and mirrors. I turn around and go back but it was the shift change and the guy standing there with the cloth who could have cleaned the windows ( I would have let the issue drop) said come back tomorrow. Not sure why he assumed I'd want to or be able to do that). But I call the manager the next day. No surprise they don't take the call but I left a message still waiting for that call back. It's like the staff doesn't care and the management doesn't care. To the manager - for every complaint you get there are many people who just go elsewhere. This really is an awful car wash. I have only gone to them out of convenience, but the most recent time is definitely the last. The inside of my car is still dirty, and they are not cheap. One time I paid for a longer wash, which required me to leave it there for about an hour, and this was the only way I could get it really clean. Took to VW, Mileage was barely 119K miles. The window sticker clearly stated I change the oil at 119500K miles. THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE ENGINE. Unfortunately my dog left the tiniest mark on the coupon and the girl at the register would not take the coupon despite it being clearly a free car wash. My only complaint for this place is the traffic out back that is both stressful and dangerous. Service here was good. You arrive, wait your turn on the line, step out of the vehicle, and walk through their store. There's a lot of neat stuff inside the store. We did an interior and exterior clean and the guys did a good job. The price, service, and speed of the car wash were good. The neighboring streets can get pretty busy with Trader Joes, Home Depot, and Wendy's around. Once upon a time this place used to be ok for a quick oil change at a decent price. I used to pay about $25 a few years back, but the price had been creeping up. I found another place to get my oil changed, but they recently went out of business, so I came back here after a 3 year break. Wow, what a mistake. They say it's 34.95 for their most basic oil change, but I had a $5 charge added for taking off the engine guard and another $5 charge for my car being a Hyundai so I ended up paying close to $50 in the end. Not only did they never have these fees before, but I wasn't even warned of the charges beforehand. At least they didn't try to upsell me on anything this time! But I'm never coming back because who knows what other random fees might be added to my next bill. As for the car wash, I paid $4 to upgrade to "the best." I sat around and waited and crossed over to petco for some cat food. They couldn't clean my trunk since I had so many things in there. My fault. I was very impressed on how detailed they were getting with the car, inside and out. There were some dirty areas left but for the job they did, I can not complain. Outstanding job and me and my ride left very happy. Get the loyalty card for a $1. After the 6th car wash it's free. My only negative is the Traffic!!! I came to get an oil change and ended up waiting for over an hour. I've been here before but they said they couldn't find my car's information in the system. Total lie. I asked for a standard (cheap) oil change and the filter my car requires. They told me it would be $75 total. When i went to pay, i found out there was three options for my oil change. Went to get a simple inspection done but it was far from simple. A man named Louis told me I needed new windshield wiper blades, i stated I recently replaced them when coming a few months back for an oil change and he insisted I needed to change them. I asked if this would interfere with passing inspection and he said no. So I stated I wouldnt be needing new blades put on my vehicle and headed inside to pay. First off the guys at the beginning very nice courteous and give you a sense that everything will be alright which is what you want when handing your keys to someone you don't know. They left streaks all over my wind shield, making it dirtier than when I went in, my floor mats are still dirty and they didn't even clean around the inside of the passenger door. The only thing they did sort of right was wash the exterior and that's only because it was a machine that did the work. They don't even bother to stop and listen to you since they just want to get you out of the way so they can dry off the next car. I was told to drive around if I wanted the mats vacuumed again.
