My kids love a drivethru car wash, and for years, we've come over here to get the basic wash. You pull up, throw your car in neutral, and it pulls you forward as your car gets sprayed, soaped, battered by those rubbery things, and then dried. Then a couple of very energetic men wipe down your car with urgency to make sure it's dry, and they've got all the spots. Honestly, it's an excellent service for $12.50. However, this past week I decided to make my wife happy (not my normal MO), and go for a more comprehensive wash including vacuuming and wiping down the interior. I had to do it without the kids, because it involves taking the car seats out, and they don't get to watch from the inside which is the only reason they like it. This was literally only the second time in my life I've had this done. Because when I was a kid, I (1) didn't care about how my car looked and (2) I didn't have any money. (Although, getting it detailed may have helped keep me out of trouble and entirely avoid a confusing conversation with my father about him finding what he called "grass" on the floor of the car. I don't call it grass, and actual grass is entirely acceptable to find on the floor of a car.) And then I didn't have a car, because I lived in NYC, and cars are expensive and a pain in the ass. But then I had kids. And kids need lots of things, like cars to take them places. And kids ruin everything, including your car. All this is a long-winded way of saying, if you want your car to look like you don't have disgusting little monsters sitting in the back, actively throwing and mashing various edible items into and between your seats...this is a good spot. The other time I got the car detailed I went to a fancy, super-exclusive spot that charged me literally hundreds of dollars and my car was PRISTINE when I got it back. Cleaner than it was when we bought it. Here at Ultimate, I paid $50, and it was ALMOST as good. Not perfect, but really a great value. Best of all, it only took 25 minutes (during which I got some excellent tacos at El Tenampa a block away) instead of four hours. Efficiency is the name of the game here. The lone standing, small tree on my block, still retaining green leaves is a safe space for every single bird within a 29 block radius. I learned this as I approached my car yesterday morning. I was parked underneath it. I felt attacked, ashamed & embarrased - the hood, windshield & front grill of my car was annihilated. At this point, I was only interested in a drive thru experience. I searched on Yelp & found Ultimate Car Wash. When I approached the gentleman at the entrance of the establishment, I made small talk & informed him that, "they got me bad". He glanced & said it may take more than one wash. My car at that point had been sitting under that tree for a few days & the temperatures went quickly from high 60's to low 30's. I went through the car wash (which is a blast, especially if you put a favorite song on & crank the volume), and at the exit point, there are 3-4 guys, they jumped on the car to dry it off. There were still a few spots that did not come off during the car wash - one guy took a razor blade to said spots on the windshield and used some elbow grease while drying the hood. For an attentive external cleaning & drying, the total came to around $14 (before tip). Definitely an easy & quick fix if you're looking to get your car washed. These guys were good! read more

Car wash is okay but why don't they put a piece of paper down on the driver's side carpet? They get into driver's seat with wet, muddy shoes and even if rest of car is clean, that part is always a mess! So this place is in a good location usually not busy and you can get your car washed inside and outside for $20 which in these times is great. They do a decent job and I'm going to keep going back. Usually this business is busy. I've drove by countless times and seen lines. This is closer to home and a little more cost efficient than the usual touchless car wash I go to. I was the only customer when I arrived. Once my car was done with a quick wash , three employees came out and rushed to hand dry my car. Being that they weren't busy they could have taken the time to properly dry the car however they spent less than 2 minutes on my car. They were walking away from my car to take the only other customer that walked in right after me instead of completing their job. There was literally water pouring down the car still. If the employees are going to do a terrible job on their end, what is the point of going to this establishment? I had to dry my own car to prevent the water marks. Also found a scratch that I definitely didn't have before going here. Do not waste your time or money. Wasted our time coming here! Even though i thoroughly researched this spot (which is also called Sunset Car Wash), and called in advance, our visit ended up being super disappointing. First off, it'a great that their list of services is posted on their website, but if you want one of the deeper cleaning, detailing packages, you apparently have to make a weekday appointment. UM, IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THAT BIT OF INFO WAS POSTED ON THE WEBSITE AS WELL. My Mom and i effectively woke up early on a Saturday, got there before opening time, waited on an already long line, only to be told when it was our turn that we'd need to make an appointment for deep cleaning. Mind you - i DID take the extra step of calling the biz on Friday, but NO ONE answered the phone. i shoulda known from then that they were janky, despite the positive reviews. Momz ended up getting the 4-star package which took 30 min, and it was great that they included a COVID cleansing, but it was nowhere near the deep cleaning that the car needed. My car was super dirty from the winter and my dog being in the car. I wasn't interested in an auto detailing shop and luckily came across Ultimate Car Wash. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and there was a line of about six cars ahead of us. They're very efficient though, so we didn't have to wait long. We got the 4 star package, which was a full wash, wax and interior cleaning. The price was very reasonable too! Once the car went through the automatic wash, a worker thoroughly wiped the outside and vacuumed and cleaned the inside. He did a phenomenal job making sure all the dirt and dog hair were gone. I really needed the car washed after parkimg under the McDonald Avenue train tracks. The birds living there did a number on my car. That number was 2 for sure and probably 1 as well. Ultimate was the only carwash I could find thate as open during the pandemic. It was an exterior wash only due to health precautions. The staff were good about social distancing. There were a few streaks and spots left over at the end but overall pretty happy with the result given the situation. Can't complain for only $10. read more

This place was just ok. but a few things that really annoyed me - 1 - I paid for 3 star car wash which was supposed to include a wax sealer or something. never got it, they didnt do anything to the car after it came through the wash. When i asked the guy he said he didnt know anything and just wanted to move to the next car. they did quickly clean the tires, but the difference between 2 and 3 star was the wax sealer, otherwise i could have saved myself $3-4. granted, it was not a lot , so i just let it go 2 - the person changed all my driver seat settings in my Audi. that isnt a big deal, but they also changed the steering column and then must have played with the buttons because they changed my memory car seat settings, so i had to change it all over again. i dont understand why this was neccessary, they only were in the car for a few minutes... it was really annoying. all they had to do was move the seat back, not change every single thing including the memory settings. 3 - the car wash didnt do a great job, it left soap suds on the car when it ran through. plus when they wiped some of the interiors they left a weird white type of residue on some of the plastic. So i had to do a quick clean of those areas the next day. I think this place gets by with all the taxi and car ride business they do. i saw a ton of taxis and black car service vehicles, so for that this might be ok because its quick and cheap, and it is tough to find something decent in the city (i usually get my car washed in the suburbs) but this still left a lot to be desired. read more

I came here on a Monday at 3pm and had a great experience. I was getting my husbands very dirty, stinky work truck cleaned and they did a wonderful job! I got the 4 star wash which was about $39 with tax and then tipped on top of that. It was SO worth it. The truck looked, felt and most importantly smelled sparkling clean when I got in. :D It didn't take long and Daniella at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would you guess this Tahoe takes 3 kids back and forth to school each day? And a ton of camping trips as well. I am impressed. Both the inside and the outside look fantastic. After driving around in my pollen infested car for several weeks, on my drive home last week, I decided I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted a car wash on my way home and found this place. There was a line so I felt slightly better, and decided to go for it. First off, the prices are not reflective of what you're going to actually pay at the register; make note of that. I got the "3 Stars" service, and it said about $16-$17 and I got to the register and it was $20 flat. Um, ok - still a better price than I would usually pay, so that's okay with me. What I wasn't okay with is this new scratch that goes along my passenger side windows. It looked like something in the car war made a nice straight line scratch from the front to the back. It's deep enough to be noticeable and annoying enough to know that it sure as hell wasn't there BEFORE the car wash. I should've taken my chances for another week with my pollen crusted windows; at least they would've remained scratch free. read more

My car was kind of dirty, so I looked around for a car wash. I ended up using this company, because they had a lot of different washes for a cheap price. They were able to get the outside of my car, and vacuum the inside of my car. My car looks squeaky clean, and this is a good affordable place to wash your car when you don't feel like washing it yourself. Everybody here was nice, and I was gracious enough to give a tip. Manager acknowledged nothing and accepted no responsibility. Unprofessional customer relations. Decent surface car wash. All the nooks/crannies were still quite dirty post wash including all tire rims. In ~1 minute with a paper towel I was able to quickly clean the rims. What a disappointing visit. Normally I find one or two things wrong that I'm willing to ignore. However coming to "Ultimate Car Wash" it's safe to say I'm not coming back. Getting there is a huge inconvenience, you have to navigate 3rd Ave. and at times it's a nightmare. Once there it's a bit confusing how to pull in. There are guys in front of the building so I asked them for help. They ignored me until I posed the question again. He pointed to the side street so I made the right to got out of traffic. Once there you pull up to the side and drive in. They tell you take a ticket and go in. The waiting room itself isn't very nice. It's quiet, but pretty organized. There are boxes stacked on the floor, but they are not in the way of foot traffic. I went to the register and told the girl this is my work van and that I am Tax Exempt. She looked at me and took my paperwork. She looked at me and accused me of giving her expired paperwork. I explained to her that was the date filed and she asked me if I was sure? Am I sure? I've been using the form in Brooklyn for two years and have never been asked that. She said "whatever" and took my money. I asked for a receipt and she said "of course." I took it sat down and waited. The worst part is they don't tell you your car is ready. They just leave it and expect you to know. If you take to long to figure it out like I did, they move your car to the side and lock it. If I didn't see a woman jump into her Porsche 118, I might have still been waiting. Service at a car wash is how you get business. It's safe to say I will not be returning. Maybe there are people who work there that care, maybe I'm overreacting. But do I really want to spend time trying to figure out why I should come back? It's easier to find a better car wash. read more
