David is the consummate professional and his company reflects his understanding of customer service. We purchased a kitchen table and chair set from David and it was delivered on time and in excellent shape. After only a few weeks the table began to break down, some sort of manufacturer defect. David was most gracious in arranging the ordering of and the delivery of the replacement table. When it came time for us to order a new platform bed, we knew that the only place we wanted to do business with was Livingston's Inc. DBA Livingston's Furniture. We went in on a Sunday and while David was not there, his sales staff was most pleasant and reflected the level of customer service we had come to expect from David. As always, the price was more than fair and the salesman agreed to haul away our old box spring and bed frame for a nominal fee (again, more than reasonable). The delivery was terrific once more. We live in a house built in the 1870's and getting deliveries in and out of the house is not easy. Further, we live downstairs from the main level and communicating where we live and how to get into the house is difficult. The driver was courteous and expertly assembled the bed in a matter of minutes, then hauled the old (badly damaged) box spring from old stone storage room. We love supporting small businesses and I encourage all Fulton-Montgomery area residents to support David Livingston and his family's business that has been serving our communities since 1901. I shared pics and concerns on line and someone quickly responded. Sales rep Sharon conveniently called me outside of the email chain to share her mutual feelings of the subpar appearance outside of the documentation of email. Ultimately, they only offered to put some extra batting in the cushions. I wasn't looking for a return or refund, but I think replacement cushions is a realistic expectation when they don't match the floor model or online appearance.

The sectional couch cushions are "peeling" leather in certain areas & the leather dye is easily wearing off 3 years later. The sales manager finally insisted that that was just the size queen futons ran (despite our experience to the contrary over the previous 25 years, and the objective standard of my tape measure). We were promised it would "settle" to the correct size, which it did not. So we were stuck in the end with a full-sized futon that really didn't fit the frame we already had nor was otherwise useful. Despite this, we gave them another shot when later searching for new mattress and futon sets with frames to fill out a guest room and one of our bedrooms, and I thought I'd finally hit upon the nice combination of platform and headboard for only a bit more than on-line prices for the same after comparison shopping all over the area. To make a long story short, six weeks later we didn't have the frame we'd been promised in three weeks, and had to cancel the order. Mattresses and frames are difficult to shop for, and it's not made any easier by the fact that this industry still seems to be run on the used car model of changing stock, borderline-to-bait-and-switch tactics, commissioned salesman, outrageous markups, and other shenanigans. But the one thing you want from a bricks and mortar store is the ability to keep things in stock. If I have to wait 3-6 weeks, I can use the Intertubes to order the same thing, and that's what we ended up doing. If this seems like a weak review for three stars, it is; but given how bad the competition also is (trust me, this was not the worst place I dealt with while bed-shopping, not by a long shot) it creeps into that average-for-its-genre range. Logistical note: this is sort of hard to get to, you have to be heading north on 9 and take the exit for the 2-Troy Schenectady Rd. roundabout to get to their parking lot. Plan accordingly.

Price wise I've never seen natural marble any lower than this, but they also have budget friendly porcelain that has a marble look. If you need a few days between purchasing and when your project starts, they can hold it for you!!! One thing they had which I've never seen anywhere else, were these stairs nose caps in various vinyl colors. Seems like I'll be coming back for future projects as well
