I had a very disappointing experience at Uptown Cheapskate in Oklahoma City. I placed an item on…read morelayaway after the employee assisting me told me that if I changed my mind, I could get a refund. That was the only reason I agreed to move forward and signed the layaway contract -- based on what I now know was false information. I understand that I signed the contract, but I did so under deceptive circumstances. I was misled by the employee, and I never would have agreed to the layaway if I had been told the truth about their refund policy. When I returned a few days later to cancel the layaway (never having picked up the item), I was told refunds aren't allowed. I spoke with a second manager over the phone who was dismissive, interrupted me repeatedly, and refused to take accountability. She claimed the issue was just "hearsay," and said they asked the employee -- who denied saying I could get a refund. All of this happened in less than a week. The employee who helped me clearly had limited experience -- she followed a guidebook and said she had only done a few layaways. Instead of acknowledging that I was misinformed, the store chose to defend itself and ignore the situation. It's clear they care more about keeping the money than doing what's right for the customer. They would rather lose a loyal customer than accept responsibility and fix the problem. I'm sharing this to warn others about how this store conducts business and how poorly they treat customers when mistakes are made.

I did find exactly what I was looking too. They have so many different items here if you're looking for crafts, they have probably anything you can think of from wood to clay items, painting, and more. They even had a pretty large selection of valentines candies and decorations. The employee who checked me out was nice and the store was fairly clean. He had the manager come over because I told him that I did not want to pay that if your sign says $1.25, why are you charging me $2? When the manager came she said that they don't charge that price ($1.25) for them and it was a mistake that someone had put them over there, even though there were nothing but drinks on that same shelf and aisle priced at $1.25. She never went to look at them to check the price. As I waited to have the clerk remove the drinks before paying, the register decided to freeze up. The manager ended up opening up another lane and checked out everybody else in line. So it took about 15 minutes of waiting for the clerks register to come back on and finally I got checked out. I took a picture of the drinks and price to show the manager and she still just said I'm sorry but that's not the price of those. So it wasn't the best experience at this particular store. I actually came into this store just to buy 2 items for someone else and ended up getting more things. I think that it's bad management and poor taste and customer service when not honoring their mistake. I tried calling regional offices and also sent an email about the matter but no response whatsoever. It's been about a month now.

I went to the food court that was there and got me a plate with lo mein bourbon chicken, and some other chicken, but I forgot the name of it and it was really good and the portion size was pretty decent. It does taste like your typical cuisine that you would get any more, but it was still good. I enjoyed the fact that most of the stores were open as I know it's some Ally Miles things begin to close. I also like that they have a few food places to choose from. It is not like your typical larger mall, but it will still look good enough variety to get a snack, they also had several vending machines and drink machines throughout the outdoor walking area. I would recommend stopping by this mall because it doesn't hurt any outlet mall to take a look and see what kind of deals and steals you can find.

I recently went here for some Christmas shopping and I appreciate the selection of purse stores and box lunch for cartoon/anime accessories. They do have a cafeteria area that has a couple shops to get food and drinks. I've never eaten there, but I did try the boba before. It was good, but you can't adjust the sweetness on the drinks. I love that they have some neat areas with large heaters that look like flames. We came here and warmed up a couple times while shopping. There are plenty of parking spots scattered around the outlet mall. I like to park behind Columbia store. I feel like no one ever parks there. There are good sales around the holidays, so go check them out.

The one next store is more expensive, but has nicer items. So what I find cool about this place, is its decor and items for the yard, porch, and garden. Metal arches, gazebos, metal animals, clay pots, macrame hanging baskets, garden gates, benches. All sorts of things! Some can be a little over priced, but never fear my fellow "junkies" you can haggle! There are so many hidden gems in this place. Walk in, find Native American decor, nascar, furniture, kids toys, books, old radios, washers, records, blankets, beauty supplies (it may be expired, but hey, DISCOUNT!), tvs, beds, couches, bikes. If it's random, you may find it here. It's really hard to tell you what they have, because it really changes. The store is big enough, be aware, the older women who works there, is the owner. She has eagle eyes and will follow you around. (Okay, that might be why I gave her four instead of five). They accept cash and credit cards. No checks- and cards have a minimum of 10$ charge. Overall, I like this place a lot!! It's cool to walk in and see what you'll find. This is my local "go to" place when I need something random around the house. They have every…read morecategory of stuff. All their items come from storage building auctions so like the other reviewer said it's hit or miss but when it's a hit it's a good one. Yes the older lady owns the place but I've never had her follow me around. Maybe that's because she considers me a regular! Today's great find was a multimeter for $45 that retails on Amazon for $120. And some Christmas lights that they plugged in at the corner to show me that they worked-before I even asked. What do they have? Books, arts and crafts, kitchen, knick knacks, holiday, tools, furniture, appliances, collectibles, garden decor, office, and tons of miscellaneous.
