I'm so disappointed to have to leave this review as initially I went to support a local business. The manager seemed very sweet but when I pay 150 an extra for a French tip upgrade they didn't tell me about 50 for gel And 7 for extra tip even though they did nude when I asked for color They said 'get gel it'll last for months' but did not properly seal it and it didn't even last a week! Then they force suggest an 50$ tip for work that didn't last and service that was... not good. I will not be returning which makes me so sad I really wanted to like this place I'm so disappointed it didn't even last to the event I got them done for!! I can't give one star because the manager had charm I cannot deny his attitude was good it just feels bad after to not get what you want and then to have them buckle and dime you for things that didn't last at all I'm probably going to have to go to a new place and get it correctly done so I'm paying this twice and that is why the review is so low read more

During the removal, the technician burned my nails twice with the e-file and also accidentally cut my skin twice while buffing my nails. This salon is super fancy and super cute! I love the white chairs, the crystal décor, and especially the way it looks during Christmas -- everything is beautifully decorated. I really enjoy the complimentary mimosas and water, and the massages are amazing. The Royal and Pamper Me nail services come with such a relaxing massage -- it's one of my favorite parts. I came here on Saturday for the first time, i was very unsatisfied with a few things. I waited over 3 1/2 hours for French manicure and pedicure the most simple treatment. There was probably 5 people that were in and out before, it was outrageous how much time i waited. The lady that also worked on my pedicure hurt my toe nail and kept going over it as the object felt sharp on my skin.. you can't really see it on the images but it's slightly bruised. The lady working on my hands did my nails very crooked was nice enough to re do two but left one on my right hand crooked, i also asked for short and natural and she did medium length, the last thing was that she coated the top coat color with a slight pink and showed me thinking if it was just the color i liked, when i was charged they added a $10 coat fee without my consent as i was never told it would be extra. I had a very unfortunate and painful experience at Metro Nail lounge that I feel obligated to share. During what was supposed to be a standard callus treatment, the technician applied a chemical solution to an area of my foot that clearly did not need it; specifically near my ankle where the skin is much thinner. She even acknowledged that she shouldn't have applied it there. These types of solutions are only meant for the bottom of the feet, and as a result, I suffered first and second-degree burns on both sides of my ankle. When I initially informed the owner about the injury, he assured me he would provide his insurance information. However, when I followed up a few weeks later to update him on the situation and request the insurance details so I could file a claim, he became rude, uncooperative, and dismissive. He stated that giving me the information would "hurt his business" and accused me of harassment. despite my communication being respectful and only about seeking help with medical costs. He ultimately refused to provide his insurance, leaving me to pay out of pocket for doctor visits and ongoing scar treatment. Accidents can happen, but the way this business handled the aftermath was extremely disappointing. I'm sharing this not to be malicious, but to warn others and hopefully encourage the salon to take responsibility and improve its practices and professionalism. read more

I came in a few weeks ago to get my nails done as a treat, so my coworker and a couple vendors we work with all came in to pamper ourselves. I didn't catch anybody's name but there was one lady doing my friend's nails and she did SUCH a beautiful job! She also showed us her portfolio of nail designs. It's been a few weeks and my gel has started to peel off so I figured I should go back to get it removed since I cannot do it myself. I checked on Yelp in the morning (I wake up at 6 so I can sit in traffic on my way to work!) and Yelp showed to text a number to make an appointment. I did, and I just asked how much it would cost and if an appointment is needed. I wasn't expecting a response so early, as I figured it was a business line and I would hear back when the salon was open. To my surprise, I did get a response. An implied rude message about how early I was texting. I specified I wanted to come in later in the day and was met with a rude remark that I "know" when they open and to reach out at that time instead of "at 6:45 when most people are sleeping". Sorry to bother you with my business! It would have been professional to not answer a business inquiry until business hours, or at least be NICE when telling a customer to check back later. How hard is "Hi, we open at 9:30 and I will be happy to assist you at that time"? Judging by the other reviews, this rude service is not a shock. I have given this nail salon multiple chances as it's so close to my house and I love the interior. However, you never know what you are going to get when you go in. Sometimes you get amazing nails, other times, not so much I went in during November to get a pedicure. During my time, the technician nicked part of my toe. I mentioned that it hurt and noticed some light bleeding. The technician acknowledged me and continued on. Decided to try this nail salon out after reading the positive reviews and driving by all the time. Came in on a Wed afternoon as a walk-in and got seated right away for a full set. The salon was beautiful, very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The lady who did my nails did such an awesome job and I'm very happy with how they came out. Once I got my pedicure, the other lady was super sweet and offered a refreshment such as water or a mimosa. The pedicure chairs were comfortable with a pillow. Came to this salon the day Saturday (5/8) and got a gel manicure and a regular polish pedicure. First problem: I decided to go for a bright yellow color. The color of the regular polish that was supposed to match my gel was definitely not the same color and looked like a very dark yellow. I asked the girl to change it and try put a coat of white under the yellow. It looked a little brighter, so I said okay. By the time I got home, the color distorted so much and turned a dark yellow again. Second problem: On Monday (2 days later) my thumb nail and pinky nail chipped. Luckily, they have a 7 day guarantee for gel. So I went back on Tuesday to get it fixed. They were able to squeeze me in. Great. Third problem: On Wednesday (4 days after original visit) my middle finger nail chipped. Then the next day, the same thumb nail chipped. I'm not going to keep making separate trips over there to get one/two nail(s) fixed. It's so inconvenient and I've actually never had this happened to gel nails before. Maybe the color I picked was old? I don't know, but I'm not pleased with my nails at all. Especially after spending more than normal. read more

I think it's fun to serve Mamosa, and I love that the whole family is there. The owner, his wife and son help keep the place running. I love to support family business, but there are things I do not support. They do additional charges for nail designs, nail shape, nail length, but they do not do the courtesy to let you know. My sister and i showed pictures of what we wanted ahead of time, and they did not say anything about the additional costs. So just beware that if you want to go and you're in a budget make sure to ask how much it's going to be before getting your set. We had an appointment at 3:30, we did not get service until 4:30. They took over three hours to do my sisters nails, they were all red with two fingers that have a heart shape with rhinestones outline. Even the owners wife said that it was a simple design, yet it took three people and three hours for them to do it. Which was extremely frustrating because the person who is mainly doing my sister's nails, kept getting up and doing other things and that's why it took so long. The other two people just stood there, and waited for the other main one to come back and the whole purpose of them being there was to pass her things that were honestly very reachable so I do not understand why there was three people. It just made the section feel overcrowded and in some ways very uncomfortable. After spending four hours at the salon, and after seeing how big they racked up the bill, I was already set on giving them three stars, three because I did really like my nails. I noticed that when I was coming out my ring finger was very itchy. I just figured that it was my finger not being used to the acrylic because I haven't worn acrylics in a while. But then I noticed it getting swollen. I went to my primary Doctor Who informed me that my finger is infected. He said that the cause of the infection could be two things, A dirty nail clipper which they did use a nail clipper on me, if it was sanitizer or not I do not know. The second reason might be that they pulled the skin in the wrong direction causing irritation and an opening for infection.,Which is still extremely unprofessional because if I'm getting my nails done I would assume it would be by a licensed technician who are taught how to cut nails properly to avoid these type of problems. Overall I had really high hopes for this place but now I'm extremely disappointed with my first experience. read more

I went yesterday for a pedicure and unfortunately I had a bad experience. It was an elderly lady that had worked on me and she didn't understand exactly what I wanted. Not only that, she kept cutting me and I repeatedly kept telling her! She would slap my leg for me to give her my foot back, as I was trying to communicate that I was in pain from her cutting me. My hopes were high because there was so much to like about this place and the location was very convenient for me. First off, this is a very beautiful nail lounge, the decor is clean, open and very eclectic . The pedi chairs are comfy and massage well. They have a great range of choices when it comes to colors. They offer water and mimosas while you wait or get your service. The nail techs I had were great, did a clean job and were very meticulous which I always appreciate and they use liners in the foot bath! which I also appreciate. Yesterday morning after agreeing to our appointment with Kevin, my daughter and I were greeted by an older lady. She asked if we had an appointment. I told her yes with Millie. She asked what I needed. I told her both of us need a full set and gel pedicure. She repeated herself 3 times, "2 full set and gel pedicure?" I said yes. She said ok and directed us to sit in the waiting area until the massage seats were ready with hot water. Immediately they began working on our toes. (Hence the 2 stars.) 30 minutes later I ask where's Millie? The lady says Millie not here yet. 10am Kevin walks in greeting everyone in the place. There was already about 6 ladies having their toes and nails worked on at the same time. Kevin finally makes his way over and I asked him, is someone going to work on our nails because Millie isn't here yet. He says Millie doesn't work today and he will get someone else. I wait a few minutes more while he's bringing in his cheap $5 bottle Cooks champagne bottles from the car. Case after case, he must have brought in 5 cases or so. Finally both our pedicures are done and the pedicure lady goes to get Kevin because she doesn't know where We should go. He comes back, apologizes and says 2 girls called out, "which is so rude, they didn't even call out, they just didn't show." so "I apologize, just have another seat at the table and someone will assist you when they are done." 1 hour and 30 min to have a pedicure done and now I have to wait for someone to finish up to work on my nails?? I explain to him my daughter and I were the second customers to enter and we could have been informed sooner that Millie wasn't coming and they could have offered someone else to do our nails. He agreed and apologized that "my workers don't speak English and just well, incompetent." I was shocked to hear he would downgrade his employees like this. He shows no respect for his "slaves." I told him that wasn't my problem that he chooses to hire "incompetent" employees but I know very well the elderly woman understood "full set and gel pedicure." Finally a nail tech greets me and I tell her if we can speed it up because I have another appointment to get to. Kevin tells her to stop talking to me and put her tools away. He tells me I can't rush his nail tech because she won't do a good enough job. So I tell her to hold on, let me cancel my other appointment by text because Kevin says it's going to take at least another hour. Kevin says, "just forget it. This vibe doesn't feel right." "Let's stop where we are at and let's reschedule." I tell him, " I just canceled my other appointment and now you're not going to do our nails?" He says, "no, it's too late." And to "go ahead and leave and come back when I have time." By then I'm just upset and in disbelief. First, I was lied to about Millie being there. Then, I hear a business owner downgrade his own employees, and then to tell me to leave because this isn't a good vibe! Completely calm but disappointed, I get up. He says, "You can just go, you don't even have to pay, Happy Thanksgiving." I tell him, "ok great and we walk out. " I'm sadden by Kevin as he's totally fake and dishonest. He needs to how to manage his incompetent employees. Keep serving your cheap Champagne to your clients. I'm sure they appreciate cheap mimosas because they are included in your overpriced mediocre services. To the ladies who work there, you're very sweet and you deserve a better manager.
