I don't which move this happened, but alot and I mean ALOT of my belonging disappeared. LOST $$$$$$$ Renter's insurance and FEMA was of NO HELP. To make matters worse, some of my very valuable and irreplaceable old postcards disappeared. Just discovered that today . Not happy. Dylan and Aaron both deserve a raise! Edit: Chris the GM reached out to me today and said "I'm going to charge your card on file for $95" an error caused by the mover due to a simple miscalculation. I am getting frantic texts from the mover saying that Bull is going to deduct it from his pay check. I would've been more understanding had Chris not said he was going to charge me outside of the invoiced amount that was charged at the end of the delivery. Chris has a terrible approach and will cost this location more than the $95 they plan to deduct from the movers. Chris advised "As long as I get my money..." a real good example for the young employees at this location. Good luck to whoever uses this place. Everything went well as far as our move went. Any feeling that changed was strictly on GM Chris. I have the texts for proof if anyone would like them. Second edit: Brad reached out to apologize for Chris and his approach to the situation. This was our…read morefirst major move in 10 years and as working professionals, we knew we didn't have the time or energy to move our 3rd floor 2/2 apartment (no elevator!) to our new house. We were looking to hire a company local the area we were moving to so that we could support our new community. We called around and got quotes from half a dozen companies that were charging more per hour, charging flat rate surcharges for fuel, charging per mile and even one that wanted to charge a flat rate $150.00 surcharge for our oversized (70in) tv. Not only was the estimate from Epik the most reasonably priced quote, they were sending 3 movers instead of 2 which is what all the other companies quoted. We knew the extra person would make a big difference with having to go up and down the stairs so many times. We agreed on a 9:30 AM start time and one of the guys for our job, Steven, gave us a courtesy call prior to the start to let us know they were delayed due to traffic. When they arrived, they quickly and efficiently moved over 40 medium size boxes plus all of our furniture. They were personable and friendly, making sure they carried a conversation with us as they were working. It was a nice touch to have them interacting with and taking an interest in us - fantastic customer service skills. They could have easily crammed everything into the truck and gotten the job done in one trip, but they didn't want to risk damaging anything so they left the bigger pieces for a second trip. They were very respectful of our time and even asked about stopping on the drive for a short break. On the second trip they even grabbed a few things we had planned to transport ourselves and helped my partner load his vehicle. They handled all of our items with care and even offered to repair a piece of furniture that accidentally got damaged going down the stairs. As the crew was finishing re-assembling the last of our furniture, Deyon came by the house to settle our bill. He was genuinely interested in how our move went and receptive to our feedback. It was a nice conclusion to the transaction to get a few minutes of one-on-one time with one of the owners. Having never used a moving company before, I would absolutely recommend Epik Movers and we will definitely use them in the future.

I asked if the furniture would be reassembled as I had heavy bedroom sets as well as an electric couch & loveseat. I even called a week ahead of time to let them know I would be moving most of the boxes to the new house myself - the quote included 50 boxes -to cut some of my costs, and the new house was just across the street. So after the move I was told that several things were missing from the estimate that John visually saw . 3 area rugs that were already wrapped. a dresser, an end table - all in the garage when John came. a small gate (for my dog). and a few other things that were that were there when John gave the estimate. So now the movers also told me that they had to reassemble the furniture, put area rugs down and then move them til customer (me) was satisfied with their placement! i was told this work was all included in my quote. The boxes that had to be moved were a total of 10 as I moved the rest a head of time. So now they tell me it is the time they charge for and not the number of boxes. Needless to say I was very disappointed as the whole thing felt like a scam! Worst experience with movers ever. I have used professional movers for cross country and…read moreinternational moves many times and never seen anything this bad. The number of ways they did things wrong was astounding and only 20 pictures are allowed but I have many more. They used giant boxes to dump tons of little things with no packing material, threw in glass items mixed with other things with no padding, lied to their boss about running out of supplies when I had unopened boxes of moving paper, bubble wrap, and every size box there is. Left tape falling off of boxes, failed to pack numerous things I pointed out to them many times, left delicate items loose when I told them dozens of times that I was packing a 22 foot truck and could not have any loose delicate items. In addition to having to finish what they left undone, I had to open and repack box after box. Thank god I did, because if I hadn't, my belongings would have been smashed to bits in transit. The owner was a complete jerk when I called and didn't let me explain anything before starting to yell at me and spew lies that the crew had told him, probably realizing what a terrible job they had done. At the time, I fully intended to send the company a long detailed email with all my photos, but in the midst of a cross-country self move, I just never managed to do it. Also, he was so incredibly hostile I didn't want to fight. But I'm still bitter about the money I spent (over $1000) and how there are probably just a few fake reviews on here because they probably ditch bad reviews by changing their profile so I am finally adding this. Do not make the same mistake! Do NOT hire them to pack for you! You will regret it and end up repacking all your stuff yourself.
