Every year I make the drive [super out of my way from gambrills] to oxon hill to get my physical completed. Other places like concentra will make you wait for hours upon hours, and then on top of that they will nitpick every aspect of your health. [Oh, you can't run a 4 minute mile? DENIED!!] It's almost as if they're trying not to pass you, or put you in a position where you have to come back to them several times before they will give you a full D.O.T. physical card for the year. Dr Choi builds a relationship with his patients, and works with those that have concerns, but he does it without having the feel of a overzealous parole officer. Even in a crowded waiting room, the wait times aren't that bad. You'll be in and out, and back on the road in no time!

He asks the same questions that you answered on the paperwork even though you spent 45 minutes filling it out. He talks over you, is very condescending and doesn't let you voice your concerns. He has TERRIBLE bedside manners. When confronted with these issues he will get defensive and slam a door in your face. I've never been treated so poorly by a doctor anywhere in my life.

I showed up at my appointment time, filled out the paperwork and was instantly seen by the therapist. My therapist was Ernesto Aguila, RPT. After a few minutes, questions, and some pokes and prods. He knew what was the issue and started me on my therapy. Just two sessions later and i'm feeling enormously better and he estimates ill be able to continue my therapy on my own in just a couple weeks. Bottom line. The atmosphere is friendly, the therapist that I dealt with was super friendly and VERY knowledgeable, and they don't try and prolong your treatment just to keep making money. They understand that you want to get back to pain free living ASAP and do their best to help you along the way.

Once inside, it's bright, colorful, and a cheerful staff member greets you. Unlike other Physical Therapy places, this one doesn't have a sterile clinical feel with lots of beds and plastic dividers sprawled around. Instead, it looks like a place designed for active people who are ready to exercise and stretch their way back to good health. I had an injury that caused major neck/back pain and pesky tension headaches. I exercised patience with this process since the progress is incremental... All of my visits and treatment occurred under the direction of Clinical Director Dr. Anane. He's a licensed chiropractor so clients receive functional rehab and chiropractic care in one place. This doctor has an excellent bedside manner and avails himself to any questions or concerns that you may have. Additionally, all of the functional rehab specialists (Paris, Mia, Migma) who I've worked with are competent and hold Kinesiology degrees. Thanks to the team I am well on my way to recovery. I've also been educated on the holistic and therapeutic benefits of chiropractic adjustments and additional exercises to enhance my current fitness routines. If you're ready to get aligned and/or restore strength and flexibility lost for whatever reason, give this place a try. I highly recommend it!

They've called twice because of double-booking. I am my husband's care-giver, and I am not retired. I worked my meeting schedules around the initial - and yes, second schedule changes. I should not have to do this... It is poor business practice to misrepresent this fine organization. The front desk has also called with a schedule that they only provide for Medicare clients. My husband is not on Medicare; he is on my primary BCBS insurance. Again, the organization is being misrepresented, and it's just a matter of time before it begins to lose clients.

Every therapist has been effective, some areas are taking more work. I'm writing today regarding the superb post-right shoulder replacement PT. My therapist is Libby Sudhoff, she is more physical than most, and will work at any discomfort to mitigate the pain. I've had 12 sessions with her and only a few more before she goes on to her next traveling PT assignment. I'm very grateful for the progress and reclaimed flexibility her work has done for me.

We were talking about what it's like to go to one of those in-network PT farms where a 22 year old is loosely overseeing your exercises while also attending to several other patients in a large open area that all feels slightly chaotic and, to be honest, just a little bit sus lol. Core Wellness is not that place. If you can afford it, just go here. They have highly experienced staff who give you dedicated, one on one attention for the full hour and they take a holistic approach to solving your issue -- really listening; asking good follow up questions each session and pivoting as needed; explaining what's going on at all times and how different issues might be connected; working on your muscles with different techniques instead of just giving you basic exercises to do by yourself that you could have found online; etc. I saw Kelly and she is one of those healthcare professionals you wish all providers were like. My husband saw her as well last year and felt the same. Anyway, 5 stars, no notes.
