I cannot see why everyone likes this place.I ordered calimare when it came there was about eight small strips on a little lettuce and a plastic cup of Heinz tomato sauce, tacky to say the least.Then I ask for extra sauce and was charged .49 cents for a teaspoon of cucumber sauce.Gyros don't come with fries thats two dollars extra.So for a gyro with fries and calimare came to over $30 dollars and the food less then par. read more

The food here is really good. I had the tabouli salad, falafel, hummus and dolmades. It was all awesome and I plan to return regularly.

Dropped by Metropolis for our second meal on Sunday, and came away not as impressed as on our first visit. My wife was generally pleased with her food (the samosa appetizer, the house special (lamb and vegetable) and small Greek salad. My food, not so much. I got chicken kabob with a small Greek salad as well. Both our salads weren't very fresh (about half the lettuce had to be discarded), and none of what was left had much flavor (the dressing, which was great on our first trip, was blah this time). The wife liked how the korma, rice, etc. in her entree tasted but there was a LOT more sauce in each than there were chunks of meat or veggies. My chicken was tough and fairly tasteless, though the rice was good. It wasn't a horrible meal, but not nearly as good as on the previous visit. And, quite frankly, for the amount of food we got, even if it had all been good, it would have been overpriced. Still, probably good enough to go back again, but maybe we'll be a bit more careful about what we order. Oh, and the tea was watery. I might as well have ordered a glass of water. . read more

Great great place for Indian food; we will try the Mediterranean next time. The food was better than I expected, good quiet ambience, price reasonable and portions are hearty. We have had Indian food in many places and locations over the years, and this is definitely one of our favorites. One of us had a chicken curry dish medium spicy,and it was delicious. The other got a vegetable in cucumber spicy sauce, and it too was amazing. The rice was wonderful. The pita bread was just OK. It looks like a chain from the outside, but the inside atmosphere is totally different and much more unique. service was good. We can't wait to go back and try some other items on the menu. I have eaten at the owner's previous locations and been happy. Unfortunately they do not seem to have the mix right at their newest location. The place looked nice and the bathroom was fairly clean but that is about all I can say positive about it. Our waitress was very inattentive; we had to ask other waiters to refill our drinks, never got any extra napkins which were sorely needed for the greasy food, and the cuisine the owners know and do best (Indian) is only available 2 days a week! We ordered an appetizer sampler and it came without the sauces that the menu very specifically mentioned. The waitress seemed surprised when we asked for her to bring the tahini sauce that was supposed to come with it. We asked one of the waiters for plates for the appetizer since we were at a very large table where the 3 of us could not reach the appetizer plate at the same time. The plates never arrived. On to our entrees... The "lamb" was not even lamb, it was that nasty pre-fab fast-food frozen stuff that they serve at the cheapo gyro stands at the fairgrounds. We also asked for no onions on my friend's wrap but it came slathered in onions. The wraps and gyros were also extremely small, not like what I am used to getting at restaurants owned by Greek or Mediterranean-born people. Also very oddly, the gyros and wraps came with french fries with no option for something more authentic... the fries were not homemade, not anything noteworthy; they were the same ones I buy in the freezer section at Walmart. We did get salads but they were very small and once again covered in onions, and slathered in too much dressing. I guess they were trying to hide the not-so-fresh tomatoes under the dressing. We tried the baklava for dessert because it looked like it might be ok. We were hoping it would be better than the meal, but it was soggy, greasy, and stale. All-in-all not a good experience, and especially not for the price! I would never pay full price there again. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, the place was extremely noisy, it took the staff a good 15 minutes to decide which of the tables to clear for us, and the waiters were too busy arguing at the register and using profanity to pay us any attention. read more

Had lunch with my dad here yesterday. It was awesome! We're greek, and obviously can be harsh critics. The food was amazing, very authentic and had a very homemade flavor. Also the decor was pretty nice. It's in a great location too! You wouldn't guess driving by it. I have lived in WR for about 4 months now and haven't even ever noticed it but I found it via the Yelp! app. Def glad I went and will for sure be back! Definitely worth it! And it wasn't super expensive, they had great lunch specials. I rarely have tasted domathes at restaurants that are that good. The waiter was great, too! All around a great experience. My dad is from a town a few hours away, and he's already looking forward to the next time he comes to visit! Was the boyfriends first time eating there (first time eating Greek period) and he loved it too! We had the falafele, domathes, and my boyfriend and I had the gyros which are usually very hit or miss. Def a hit! read more

Great Curry, friendly service and clean dining area's. My curry was a little on the spicy side, but they accommodated me by adjusting the spice level to my preference. The décor was very nice, and the atmosphere was cozy. The only downside was it was a little pricey, but worth it!! I would recommend this establishment! read more

The service was excellent! Everyone was very friendly. I ordered the Chicken Curry (hot) as I am a big fan of authentic Indian food. The rice was on target but the Chicken Curry was not worth getting again. My husband ordered the Lamb Gyro and thought it was very tasty and filling. We ordered Calamari for an appetizer. The Calamari was wonderful but a very small serving for $7.99 I would certainly visit again but would try something other than the Chicken Curry. read more
