We found this little spot on Yelp while driving from Atlanta to Waycross for a camping trip. The owners are very accommodating and kind about adjusting whatever you need - spices, sauces, etc. Just make sure to let them know before you order because it's not like some places where you tell them what to put on the bowl as you go. The tandoori chicken and rice bowl was really good. It comes with sauce and some cabbage on top - no sides. So we ordered (at $6 each) babaghanoush and tabbouleh. There was something odd about both. Absolutely amazing. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma wrap with Tabbouleh on the side and both were super fresh and tasty. The chicken wrap was nice and hot and filled with this spicy yogurt sauce that so good. The tabbouleh was the freshest I've ever had, but not too onion-y. Gosh, what am I missing here? I've tried them two times now and have left feeling underwhelmed both times. Yesterday, I ordered the bowl with the salad base and chicken shawarma. Well this bowl was not a bowl but more of a side salad. I don't know why I didn't take a photo but it was served on a three sectioned Styrofoam plate and only occupied one section (the large section, but still). It was a tasty salad but for just under $10, a poor value. I've noticed both times that they are good at upselling with drinks and desserts. This time, I said no to both and wonder if that affected the customer service that I received. I didn't get a thank you or any sort of follow up on my meal, nor a goodbye as I exited after eating my "snack". They charge a service fee, not sure what the service fee could be for as I believe it's undisclosed. I don't recall seeing anywhere that a service fee is automatically added to the bill but perhaps I missed it. It all looked so good and I was undecided, but one of the regular patrons said the falafel were amazing. I chose the falafel roll (on lavash bread) and it was as advertised (probably the best falafel I've had in the USA and I've had a lot!). The food was fine, but the experience was not. We dined in and the proprietress came to our table three times while we were eating to try to sell us on some miracle water, which we then discovered she had served us (and no doubt charged us for) instead of the regular tap water we had requested. She claimed that this water could cure psoriasis and detoxify your innards and even "clean" your brain, whatever that means. Later, after I got home and glanced at my receipt, I saw that she had surreptitiously added a $1.26 "service fee" to our bill after we had already tipped for counter service. Hoping for something healthy in the road, we tried this place. We got our food delivered so this is solely about the food. Absolutely outstanding. Best hummus I've had in years, best Mango Smoothie I've EVER had. Almost a mango lassi. My falafel wrap was fresh and warm and flavorful. So my mom hates just about everything when it comes to food and I'm decently picky. My mom absolutely loved this place so much that she wanted to drive 40 minutes to Macon just to eat here again. Who knew Indian and Mediterranean food would taste so good? The portion sizes seem small, but they were more than enough for my family. The food is really amazing and my mom absolutely loves their smoothies. The service was good and the owners were absolute characters. They even take special care to ask about allergies which is a bonus because my mom is gluten free. The restaurant is very mom-and-pop style and they do use styrofoam plates lol, but the place is clean. 10/10 would eat here again. read more

I'm not sure if the reviews are skewed because of the lack of similar options in the area, but this place is definitely not worthy of the 5 star average that led us here. While the food itself is decent, the value for the price is way, way off. And I do respect the challenge that COVID has created for the small business owner, but with due respect, I also have to mind my budget when eating out. The food we ate was good... hummus, turkey roll, chicken shawarma wrap, tandoori wrap. The flavors were solid and the freshness was up there. The dolmades were good and the baklava was decent. It's just that the sizes and portions did not line up well to the cost. I have eaten shawarma all over the world from Bucharest to Libya. I would argue that Medi's could possibly have the best shawarma in the state of Georgia. I found Medi's online and it looked good so decided to go. I dont live in Bibb County though. From watching the other customers they all seem to like the place and are happy going there. I only ordered one item and it was good, although it was very small/thin for a Shawarma wrap. No more than 2 inches wide and about 1 inch high wrapped in foil. It would be nice if they had pictures on the wall to know what you might be able to expect, but nope-no photos anywhere. People stand in line and order at the grill and then pay at the register. The food is put in a plastic bag to go, or on a thin paper plate to eat in. The shawarma was a small portion and I never have seen shawarma like this. It was thin sheets of meat. You can see like little layers. I guess this shawarma comes in thin sheets?? That is new to me. I also notice on the receipt they dont have the item named. It only says BASE AMT. The price of the Shawarma is 9.95. That is all I ordered. However the BASE AMT is 11.33. This has to be partly tax, so out of curiosity I see Bibb county tax is 4%. GA tax 4% so 8% according to the internet is restaurant rate in Bibb County. By my calculation tax should be .80, so there is still another .53 in there that is a mystery. Then on the receipt there is an "additional" service fee of .40. I have not seen service fees on a restaurant bill anywhere else in Georgia. I've lived in GA 26 years. Then to top it off, there are the suggested tip amounts. Wouldnt you know it! YUP, their suggested amounts have you paying tax on the tax AND the service fee AND they mysterious portion of the base amount. To top it off the man and women there appear to be owners, their photos are in the photos people post. So...I realize people enjoy something foreign or something different for a change. The owners pour on a little charm too. However I didnt notice anything like this at all in other Macon restaurants. All the other restaurant bills were right on exact everywhere else I ate. No surprises or funny business on any of my other bills anywhere else but here there are THREE! They know most people never look close, or dont care, or will just say oh well, or oh its not that much. Easy money eh?? But when its on everyones bill all day long after some recent huge price increases already I will point this out. I didnt do the math at the register and I didnt want to go back and disrupt others.
