We've been coming to Metropolis for 10 years. The food was always reliable. But last night, we noticed a real drop in quality. Something has changed. We always loved the curries with garlic peta and Baba Ganouj . My wife likes the shrimp curry but she was sick for 24 hours after. The Baba Ganouj looked and tasted like it was from a rotten egg plant. There was no substance, just smooth blended paste with bad flavor. It's was okay. Not great great food though my fiancé loved his Indian food. My spinach pie ( on the left) was cold and bad, the chicken was alright but very bland and so was the gyro. Not to mention the tzatziki came in a plastic cup and was also very bland. Over all NOT A GREEK RESTAURANT. I would not recommend it especially if you are fond of really Greek food. As for the Indian, from my fiancé's experience, he loved it. So I would recommend just going there for Indian and not Mediterranean/Greek. It was a bit of a disappointment. read more

I am a first time patron of this establishment. The service was awesome. I wanted to try the Greek salad because the screensaver in the restaurant display showed that it had a lot of Kalamata olives (which I love). We also ordered a children's cheeseburger plater and the daily special of chicken falafel. We ordered a kids drink, iced tea and a coke. When my salad arrived I noticed a single olive placed at the top. I cut up my salad because of the large lettuce. And I did not find any other olives. I asked the waiter and he said that the salad only comes with the tiny olive which looked like an adornment. I showed him the picture they had displaying the salad with lots of olives. The waiter said you only get one olive. I asked for more olives and was charged for them. They also charged us for an adult sized drink for the kids meal? My salad was decent and the olives made the salad along with the dressing. I am however disappointed with the false advertisement. The restaurant is small but the seating is spacious. The iced tea was horrible and lacked depth of flavor. I am not sure that I will return due to the pricing and the false advertisement. read more

Went here a couple of months back. I give it an average star rating for several reasons. It's kind of packed in there. They have a weird combinations of Indian food with pita bread at times which I don't enjoy. It's Indian food/Mediterranean food and that's fine but I don't like the two mixing together. I like naan with Indian food and pita bread with Mediterranean food. The food isn't bad. It's decent. It's not the best food I've eaten but it's good for the area considering there's not a lot of options there. The service is exceptional. They're extremely nice. They are very busy and so things do run slow which is also a drawback. They should hire more people when things get busy. The bar is rather small and there's a little standing room so when they get packed you don't really have anywhere to go. The prices are decent and the menu is expansive but overall I would still consider this an average place. I wasn't overwhelmed or underwhelmed by the food. The people who work here are really nice. This place is amazing !!! This is me & my boyfriends first time here & we're really impressed ! Being that it was our first time here, we weren't familiar with the menu. Our server, Mr. Raj, was a delight. He answered every question we had. For an appetizer we ordered the metropolis sampler, for our entree's I ordered the Tikka Masala Chicken (rice with a orange sauce you put on top, served with your choice of meat, I got chicken) & my boyfriend ordered a bowl special, & for dessert we ordered the gulab jamun (3 donut holes served in a warm indian syrup). Mr. Raj recommended all our food; all was very good !! The atmosphere, service, & food is all amazing. I have no complaints ! I will be coming again !! Delicious food! Tried the spanakopita appetizer and it was so tasty and had such buttery flaky layers of the pastry. The main entree I tried was the Bhuna Chicken - packed with numerous flavors and spices. I loved it and the pita was pretty good too! I scraped that plate for every last drop lol. I don't normally leave reviews but this was a disgrace to Indian culture. I got the butter chicken and my friend got the curry with lamb. He got the medium and I got the hot. This food had 0 taste whatsoever, and when I asked to change my order the manager refused. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Total waste of time. And the rice was absolutely tasteless. I am active duty military and I travel to eat different foods. This is the worst Indian cuisine I've ever had. The music choices were also terrible. The only pro to this place was how nice the waitress was. But she recommended that god-awful butter chicken. I notice this place has a 4.5 review and I honestly don't understand how. Was looking for Mediterranean food and this was billed as a fusion with Indian. I would call this an Indian restaurant and not necessarily Mediterranean. I ordered a beef/chicken kabob plate and a side Greek salad. Salad was okay and dressing was decent. Kabob came out, not on a skewer or even remotely in the shape of a skewer, but rather in a pile with veggies. Steak was definitely not kabob meat, tasted more like well done round steak cooked on a flat top grill - dry and tough. The chicken was okay and actually had skewer holes, unlike anything else on the plate. Was very underwhelmed with the food and service was nothing spectacular. Appeared as if my waitress had other things to do, like spray cleaner from a bottle all over the table next to me while I was trying to eat. My Wife and I come here occasionally, because of the distance we don't get to come back as much as we would like . The Food is Varied , Indian , Asian or Greek . I have not had a dish I haven't enjoyed thoroughly. The Indian Cuisine can be ordered according to the Spice Depth of your choice . The Stir Fry is what I had last . Before that the Grilled Chicken Kabob was amazingly Good . The Greek Salad was delicious and the Portions are Good size . You won't leave without being satisfied. In my opinion . The Staff are Very Friendly , Knowledgeable and Efficient . The Atmosphere is usually soft background and sets the Mood and Vibes for an interesting Meal . The Restaurant and Bathrooms are clean , the Restaurant seats are comfortable and in excellent condition compared to many places we have been . The Parking is ample size and the Location is easy to find . We definitely Recommend this place to Friends and Strangers alike . The service was slow on recent Saturday but not enough to keep me from returning. I asked for beverage refill 3 times and never got it. The Gyro was very dry and one slab of meat, I'm accustomed to slices of meat. The meat did have a great flavor though. The Indian food was very good and will go back for that! read more

I have eaten lunch here twice recently and both times the experience was fantastic! The food was very tasty and was quick to arrive. My father tried their lunch chicken kebab today and raved about it! The lunch spanakopita was delicious, and the Greek salad was the freshest salad that I've had out in a long while. They offer a mix of Greek and Indian dishes, which gives the menu a good variety. If you haven't been here recently, you should give it a try. Even better than the food though are the folks who run this place. They are genuinely kind, gracious, and hospitable people, and both times our servers were helpful and very polite. So much wrong with this place. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing because people seemed happy with their food. Not me. I was very disappointed. The best way I can describe it is like going to a deli shop that is under new management and the new owner is counting every pickle and substituting every ingredient for cheaper worse quality ingredients do he can maximize his margin. I really enjoyed my food here. I had the chicken korma and I can't remember what my husband had, but it was good too! My husband doesn't even like Indian food, but he really like my Korma. They also have the best fries, the really crispy seasoned kind. The only thing I didn't like was the chai tea I ordered, it tasted like milk and that's it. It had zero chai flavor and I love chai. Interesting combination offering Greek & Indian together but they should consider creating some fusion items to tie everything together. It's almost like it has two separate menus. The Biriyani, Tikka Masala, and Bhuna were all fantastic but my Butter Chicken wasn't very good; it was a little runny and lacked the standard creamy flavor. Not a huge Indian menu, and not as authentic as Curry Mantra on the other side of town, but I enjoy their green-peppers-and-whole-tomato take on biryani and karahi, and appreciate that ordering something "Indian hot" has a fair amount of heat to it. The falafel is decent, if not sometimes overcooked, and they make a mean Greek salad. The chicken pita wraps are very well seasoned and pair great with the curly fries. Service is typically fast even when they're busy on Friday or Saturday night. I've never been disappointed by a meal here. read more
