If I could give Metropolitan Appliance Repair zero stars, I would. I own a Bosch dishwasher in a summer home that is less than 18 months old and has been used fewer than 20 times. Unfortunately, it stopped working. When I contacted Bosch, they provided a voucher that would cover all repair costs and informed me that Metropolitan was the only authorized Bosch repair provider in the Mears area. Metropolitan came out and performed repairs, but the dishwasher still was not functioning properly. They returned two or three additional times and eventually told me the issue was caused by excessive suds. I followed their recommended procedure to eliminate the suds, yet the dishwasher still does not work correctly. When I contacted Metropolitan again, I was told they would no longer service the unit and that I should call Bosch to find another repair company--even though Bosch is covering all repair costs through their voucher program. As a result, I now have to start over with Bosch and hope they can locate another authorized repair service in the area. If they cannot, I may be forced to pay for repairs out of pocket, which is ridiculous considering Bosch has already approved and offered to cover the repair expenses. What makes this experience even more frustrating is the extremely poor customer service I received from Metropolitan. After multiple visits, no resolution, and being told they would no longer service the appliance, I felt completely disregarded as a customer. Their handling of this situation was unprofessional, disrespectful, and showed little concern for either the customer or Bosch's reputation. Based on my experience, Bosch should seriously reconsider Metropolitan's status as an "authorized" or "approved" repair provider. A company representing the Bosch brand should be willing to stand behind its work and make a reasonable effort to resolve a customer's issue--not walk away from it. I am extremely disappointed with the service and would not recommend Metropolitan Appliance Repair to anyone. read more

They were not able to repair my Induction range. while the range still didn't work properly, left burners did not work, tried to tell me they were not supposed to boil water. When I challenged serviceman, he got so fustrated he slammed my door. He left in a huff! Then they lied to warntee company telling them it was fixed. I would not trust this company. Super rude and clearly understaffed. I requested service and received an immediate response to call the number to schedule it but when calling the number it remained busy for 24 mins straight. When reaching back out via email, this person was very rude and sarcastic in his email with no resolution to just scheduling an appointment. No thanks. Haven't even hired you yet but already has an attitude? Interesting. read more

First off I'd like to say thank you to Andrew who was the tech working on my washer he had to return twice due to the wrong part being sent the first time, both times he arrived at the appointed time and very respectful they were doing warranty work hence the wrong part being sent, but aside from that I will be calling them for any future appliance issues read more

This was the only area repair service who even answered their phone and their service was phenomenal! We called late in the day on Thursday and we had a tech here at noon the following day. He (Austin) was extremely knowledgeable and caring; when the part our oven needed was on order and it came in later that day, he returned so we had our oven back in service for the weekend. Great service from start to finish!! We definitely won't call anyone else for appliance repair going forward. read more

If you want a bunch of fools to come over and do nothing then this is the company for you. They came over without the tools needed to test our CO problem. Shut off out gas and said they will be out when the get the equipment from Frigidaire. Needless to say I called three weeks later and they said there is nothing they can do about it. CO detectors are still going off. I had no way to cook for 3 weeks while I waited for them to never come!!! This company if ran by a bunch of incompetent people read more

The service tech who came to my house was polite and understanding of our situation. I asked him for prices and it was a bit much for how much we want to spend on a repair, when we can put that towards replacing the dryer as a whole. I called the business to ask for the techs information so I could make sure I have the right part number, and the woman who answered immediately had a tone with me and was very short. She told me she would have him get a hold of me, and that she had no information for me otherwise and was about to hang up. She had not collected any information from me, so the tech would have no idea who called. he would only know that it was a customer he had seen today. If you have a tech come out, hopefully it is Luke. If you have to call, do not expect a pleasant experience. read more
