Heathers tone of voice when working out payment plans for tuition is almost belittling and she seems to reiterate things almost as if you weren't able to understand things for yourself, it almost felt condescending and overall just a very uncomfortable experience. please work on just having better patience when it comes to working with people via phone/email

As an alum, I couldn't be more proud to see how it's grown in the last few years. During my undergrad years in the early to mid 2000s, I spent my time bumping between classes, buildings and, for a while there, majors. There was always a friendly face, it seemed, willing to strike up a conversation in front of the student center or library or just waiting outside of a classroom. Back then, UNO was easing out of being an urban commuter campus. The first rounds of dorms had been built and the campus was just starting to come to life with around-the-clock amenities. Still, the school was entrenched in Division II sports, living in the shadow of UN-L and the Huskers just a few miles away in Lincoln. Now, UNO has a full fledged D-I sports program, riding high off of the hockey team's first appearance in the Frozen Four. Both the Dodge Street and Pacific Street campuses are rapidly filling in parking lots with new educational, administrative, recreational and residential buildings, anchored on the south end with Aksarben Village and the soon-to-be-opened Baxter Arena. At the end of my time at UNO, I wound up with an English degree and a great job shortly after graduating. I couldn't ask for much more than that. Funny thing, as good as I had it, there's no better time than right now to be a Mav!

You UNO and UNL do not share all of their credits when you try to transfer that would be my first…read morecomplaint and they don't let people finish their degree unless they're paid up in full so it keeps them from progressing and getting their degree. Their department is also very unhelpful as far as helping students graduate and suggesting courses. I have some good experiences to but unfortunately those outweigh those.

This is a Jesuit University since 1878 . It has a beautiful campus with many medical and health…read morefaculties. Most buildings are historic and classic . A few buildings are new and modern . I love the business administration building ( Mike & Josie Harper Center ) with many new features and designs . I also love the V.J. & Angela Skutt student center . The interior architecture is beautiful. Many corners to study or have a meeting . One level is the hot food restaurants ( Asian and Mexican) and Starbucks . People are very friendly , good manner and respectful. The students have room for self discovery and growth. Like the mottos they craved on the sculpture " Ite Inflammate Omnia" ; " Set The World on Fire " . Go ! Blue Jays !

The firehouse subs is a refreshing change from some of the other closer food options around campus. I've been very pleased with the quality of sandwich's that have come from this place. The workers have also been very kind and made sure to take orders and hand over food with a smile. It was just what I needed between busy classes!

The foundation that was provided to me was exceptional and has carried me throughout my career outside the Omaha area into Dallas, TX. Some teachers Ive had I have loved but lately not so much. Once you do find a teacher you like the school isn't all that bad. Just avoid financial aide at all costs.

This is my 4th college because of the military and they can't figure out what paperwork i need. As soon as i get something turned in or updated I'm missing something else. I've sent the same transcripts twice for two of the colleges and after being told they were missing they got returned to sender and I was missing something else. I honestly regret choosing this school because of the finical aid office. I'm considering switching, again, but the classes and professors aren't bad.

I attended classes at MCC during my undergrad years and for my CNA in high school. All great…read moreexperiences, I like that there are different locations that offer different experiences. I recently attended a training series at the MCC culinary institute building as well. The parking was very straightforward and easy to get to, in multiple areas. There are stairs and ramps so easy to get around no matter your needs. Inside the culinary institute, the building was nice and kept up very well. They have flyers for events, and I know they have a restaurant there too. We had our food provided by the students and staff at the culinary institute and wow, it was great! We had blueberry muffins and fruit for snack and a taco bar with homemade tortillas, salsa verde, and pickled onions to name a few of the things I really enjoyed. There was also a cinnamon cheesecake for dessert. The staff was very quick to put the food out and collect dishes, it was a great experience.
