The problem is that I never received a single statement. When I called to inquire, I learned they had the wrong mailing address on file. Despite having my correct phone number and email address, they never attempted to contact me through either method before threatening collections. What was even more frustrating was being told that the collections review process did not care that they had the wrong address. Shortly after the call, they sent an email attachment that I could not open, which was not helpful at all. There are plenty of ENT practices in the area. However, given the errors in my insurance information, it is unlikely that any outreach was properly initiated. Funny enough, no one contacted me at all during this time about it. Nervous having never been to an ENT specialist I was a little perplexed and did not know what to expect. The "support", "assistant" went over what they would do after asking a few questions once you were in the exam room. I came in due to a slight sore throat and cold congestion/ sinus issues. They explained they would administer lidocaine and Afrin into my nostrils to prepare me for the nasal endoscopy. Everything went smooth! They tell you what to expect and how you'll feel (I appreciate this so much). Then Dr. Sorensen came in and introduced himself, asked what I was in for. He did a quick nasal endoscopy (when I say quick- less than 60 seconds in each nostril. He has wonderful bedside manners.. gave me my diagnosis which I assumed already, how we can treat and I went on my way. Wonderful practice! Highly recommend! I went back for a follow up visit and I was nice and clear. They do have to do another nasal endoscopy- I knew what to expect so second time was a breeze.

The solution used to numb the area tasted absolutely foul, but that's not her fault. She explained every step and answered all the questions, even the somewhat silly ones. I'm sure ENTs hear some ridiculous things, even with adults. The office itself is clean, organized, and easily accessible. Parking is plentiful and the restroom is close by. Online booking is a breeze and her staff is warm and approachable. My only downside during the visit was this creepy girl in the waiting room. I know she was filming because when I moved, her phone did too. I had to ask the doctor one more question and walked to the back, and she had it pointed at the door when I walked out. Odd angle. I didn't say anything out of respect for it being a doctor's office, and that person's behavior isn't the fault of the physician or her employees. This is the only practice I could find in my vicinity that would see me within a week; everywhere else had slots open only in a month or two. The office itself smells terrific and the staff (even at 9 am sharp) were all energetic and super friendly towards me. This combined with an easy check in/first time patient registration made it a good start in my mind. My nurse Ashley was super patient and let me talk about all my concerns extensively while she diligently documented it. Dr. Kamil is a star of a doctor! Her energy is incredible, she listened to me as well AND provided scientific / anatomy explanations for the care / all the concerns I had. I used to trust the white lab coat. Authority, credibility, expertise... that's what I thought it…read moremeant. Years ago, I developed post-nasal problems that left me constantly clearing my throat. I felt like I was drowning. I went to five doctors and got five different diagnoses: 1. Psychosomatic ("in your head") 2. A tic ("have you tried stopping?") 3. An immune system issue 4. Allergies 5. Silent reflux (the correct one) Doctor #3 was Michael Morris, an ENT with solid reviews. At first, he said it was allergies and offered me his in-house allergy drops. Later, he showed me a chart "proving" my immune system was crashing. His solution? Insert a PICC line directly into my heart to deliver medication. That wasn't the only red flag. Once, he showed up an hour late and casually explained he'd been delivering a cancer diagnosis to another patient. That struck me immediately -- wasn't that a HIPAA violation? At minimum, it was sloppy and unprofessional. Thankfully, my wife (a nurse) said none of this sounded right and pushed me to get another opinion. An immunologist (#4) told me, "I hope you ran out of there." Later, I learned Morris was formally disciplined by the Maryland Board of Physicians and what they found mirrored my own experience. He was grossly over-testing patients, sometimes drawing 14 vials of blood and ordering repeated immune panels. He prescribed dangerous antivirals and antibiotics without justification, relied on unreliable test methods while exaggerating results, and kept sloppy, contradictory records. In short, he wasn't just mistaken... he was putting patients in danger while enriching himself. He was reprimanded, fined, placed on probation, and his license eventually expired. The broader warning is this: our medical system relies heavily on trust, but not every part of it has real oversight. That creates openings for abuse. Take allergy drops, for example. They aren't FDA-approved, and when mixed in-house, there's no guarantee you're getting what's promised. These unregulated treatments (see link below for more info) can expose patients to substandard care and even fraud. In my case, Morris tried to escalate that lack of oversight into something far more dangerous: a PICC line, a procedure that carries serious risks and should only be done when medically necessary. Takeaways: A friendly doctor with 4-star reviews doesn't mean safe care. Always check credentials. And be wary of "in-house" treatments that aren't regulated. Fraud in medicine is real. I needed the laser to both of my eyes because it's often common for your lenses to be cleaned after cataract surgery. I went in expecting a routine check on my eyes and sure enough, I needed the laser procedure done and usually they schedule you to come back and have it done, but because im in a power chair and had to ride a bus for 2 hours just to get there, he didn't make me wait, he went ahead and done the laser procedure right then, after getting me prepared.
