I can't believe how much Dr. Esmaeli explained everything about my hearing test, hearing loss and the choices of different brands of hearing aides. I came away understanding a lot more about hearing loss and options then I ever expected. Dr. Esmaeli is very easy to talk to and has a good bedside manner. Dr. Akhmed saved my life…read more I had been given a false diagnosis by an urological oncologist at no less than Johns Hopkins. He told me that I had an advanced incurable cancer, and to "settle your affairs". I was only in my 30's, and this put my family into a huge crisis. After weeks of emergency room visits and specialists, I somehow ended up in Dr. Akhmed's office. She asked me what medications I was on, and right in front of me, pulled out a reference book and looked them up. She said that she thought I was having a rare reaction to an allergy medicine I was on and that I should stop taking all medications immediately. She was right. The allergy medicine had been causing high blood pressure and urine retention, resulting in a blocked bladder blowing up to the size of a basketball, which necessitated the emergency room visits and could have resulted in death. The other doctors I saw during the crisis gave me yet more meds which caused more side effects. Once I stopped taking the allergy meds and the high blood pressure meds, my blood pressure went down, and I never had another problem with the bladder. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Akhmed.

The solution used to numb the area tasted absolutely foul, but that's not her fault. She explained every step and answered all the questions, even the somewhat silly ones. I'm sure ENTs hear some ridiculous things, even with adults. The office itself is clean, organized, and easily accessible. Parking is plentiful and the restroom is close by. Online booking is a breeze and her staff is warm and approachable. My only downside during the visit was this creepy girl in the waiting room. I know she was filming because when I moved, her phone did too. I had to ask the doctor one more question and walked to the back, and she had it pointed at the door when I walked out. Odd angle. I didn't say anything out of respect for it being a doctor's office, and that person's behavior isn't the fault of the physician or her employees. It's not their fault that some people weren't raised properly. Anyway, if you're searching for an adult ENT, Dr. Kamil is the one! Check your insurance before making an appointment, and stay Healthy :D

This is the only practice I could find in my vicinity that would see me within a week; everywhere else had slots open only in a month or two. The office itself smells terrific and the staff (even at 9 am sharp) were all energetic and super friendly towards me. This combined with an easy check in/first time patient registration made it a good start in my mind. My nurse Ashley was super patient and let me talk about all my concerns extensively while she diligently documented it. Dr. Kamil is a star of a doctor! Her energy is incredible, she listened to me as well AND provided scientific / anatomy explanations for the care / all the concerns I had. I got my ears cleaned and it was very swift and didn't hurt at all + educated on after care and future prevention of my issue.

I am currently sitting in their waiting room, I had to tell them that I wouldn't leave without my records. ( it's been almost FOUR MONTHS!!) They made me feel like I was a nutcase asking for MY personal records. ( I cried because I was so embarrassed) No one should ever have to fight to get their records to be able to get the medication that they need to live comfortably.

(Which I do!) :-) My favorite part about visiting the office is getting to interact with his medical students. It's really fun to see them grow and get more confident. That being said, if you're not into the idea of a med student getting to watch your exam, Dr Khalid may not be the doctor for you. But for me, I was more than happy to let a med student listen to my lungs when I had bronchitis. After all, they're the next generation of doctors and they need to learn somehow! :-)

We saw him for no more than 30 minutes. Later when we received an almost $700 bill we were flabbergasted and called the office. They said they had noted us for being there for 1hr and 42 minutes! We were not even in the building for that long. We waited about 30 mins for the doctor and saw him for no more than 30 mins. When I explained this to front desk they said there was nothing they could do because when Doc enters the room he starts the timer at the door. I was stuck with the bill and obviously none too happy. Thankfully, my insurance covered more than 50% of it. Just be aware of your time there and double check with the desk before you leave that they have the correct time recorded.

Saw Dr Kass for a sinus infection and he gave me a prescription and when I returned for a follow up…read moretold me I should have surgery to reduce the turbinates in my nose and would help with better breathing and less infection. He quoted a price of $2,500. And said I had satisfied my deductible so it would not cost me. He did the surgery and was paid by insurance, later when viewing my EOB's noticed he had billed my insurance company several times for the same surgery and actually collected over 10k. I reported him to the insurance company for fraud and never heard back from the insurance co. In addition I have had multiple nose bleeds as he láseres them and did not cauterized properly. This man should lose his license to practice medicine he's a thief and not a good doctor. He has no one that works in his office he does all his own billing so there's nobody to blame any of this on but himself obvious reasons he's done that so that he could keep his dishonesty and cheating of insurance companies under wraps.

When I called to make the appointment the receptionist was very pleasant and tried to get me an appointment relatively quickly, but I explained my condition is chronic so no rush. The day before my appointment I received a reminder call asking that I arrive 30 minutes before my appointment time for new patient registration. Well, now I know why. A lot of pages of forms to fill out regarding my health history, insurance, and pain measurement assessment. The front desk employees were pleasant and I was called back by my physical therapist on time. He was very thorough and professional, and even chuckled at some of my lame jokes. Based on my doctor's assessment and his physical findings, he started me on some exercises with more to follow. So out comes my dusty exercise mat, but at least my visit to NRH physical therapy was relatively easy.
