And they have three golden retrievers roaming around looking for free pets and snuggles. Small business, owners always on site, lots of one on one help. Doctor is in on Fridays so plan accordingly and business hours are reflective of the owners being the employees ( I'd close early on Saturday too). Lots of selection! Each time we go I find something different that looks cute on me. I joked that I'd like to go there just try to try on specs. There's little candy dishes everywhere that I like to take advantage of and at the door there's a little toy section to entertain the kiddies. I love these play areas, it reminds of a candy shop my mom used to buy supply at and I would play with the "little people's" house and get a sugar treat on the way out. I don't mind the dogs roaming around, but if you have allergies keep it in mind. Cons, can't really find one. Insurance covered our visit so I won't complain about that here. Can't speak to the ice skating side of it either but a family friend of ours is a part of the GC skating club and they frequent here. Hope to "peep" you here, pun intended!!!

A year later, I received a bill through a text message from a strange phone number. That immediately felt odd, especially because I always pay my bills in full. When I called to ask what the charge was for, they could not even explain it and said they would need to speak with "the team." This experience was disappointing and unprofessional. They have lost a loyal family, and we are now looking for an eyecare facility with true professionals who know what they are doing.

Everything was good, and then an hour before my appointment (which I took the day off for) they called to say they won't see her because she's not 5 yet...shouldn't that have been brought to my attention when I scheduled my appointment or when they called me, especially because I confirmed her age with them!! I don't write reviews but this was such a waste of my time and I'd really hate for other single parents to be put in this situation. Now I have to start the entire process over. She even told me after I asked, "so I'll need to find somewhere else to take her" she said yes....so had I known this I could have taken the day off of work when it's necessary, but this was so ridiculous. I really can't say anything good about what I've experienced with them from start to finish. Whoever I spoke with on the phone both times seemed clueless. 0/10. Save yourself the time and find somewhere else.

I've had a few small problems with them, including pricing issues and communication issues, but I was willing to overlook them. However, the last straw for me was at my most recent eye exam. During some routine tests, the tech sat me in a chair in a darkened room, explained the upcoming test to me, then nonchalantly told me that the test would be an additional $45 charge, without giving me an alternative or the option to reject the test. However, I interrupted her and told her that I wanted to reject the test. The tech then said that I would need to have my eyes dilated if I rejected the test, and I agreed to that. Then, she handed me a form and told me that I needed to read it, as I was sitting in the dark without my contacts in or my eyeglasses on, in order to reject the test and opt for dilation. Later, when we returned to the exam room, I was asked to sign the form, again, without my contacts or glasses. It seems to me that asking a patient to read and sign a consent form without their contacts or glasses, in a dark room, is ethically dubious. It also seems like really shady sales practices to make a test with an additional $45 charge the default, when a no-cost alternative is also available. I don't think I can trust Suburban Eye Care to have my best interest in mind after an experience like this. I sent this feedback to Suburban Eye Care soon after my negative experience and received no response from anybody at the practice, so it seems clear that my concerns are not important to them.

The vision therapy manager requested 12k out of pocket costs confirming my insurance would not cover. As soon as I raised concern about cost, they instantly provided a $4k reduction. The vision therapy manage was annoyed with me questioning the cost when come to find out my insurance coverage had never been checked! My insurance company had to reach out to them to get them to even check my insurance. They even called me back to let me know something seemed odd about their conversation with Suburban Eyecare Vision therapy manager. Sharing this experience as I'm honesty at a loss as to why this was such a difficult, confusing experience when it was easily avoidable with a little work - that I ended up doing in having my insurance company contact them. I ended up choosing not to go here given this experience and also after researching this isn't the first time this place has been involved in scams with the owners history of being indicted on many felony charges of writing illegal prescriptions. Avoid this place!

First off let me start off by the red box that is located near the entrance, there is always an employee that works at Walgreens, she hides behind the big movie box and smokes. But she's not smoking like she's on a 10 min break, she goes through at least the half the pack. It's horrible to stand there as you're trying to choose a movie , you have this lady puffin and hacking away, so yes I finally decided to tell her to move, go in the pharmacy drive-thru! Prices are somewhat pricey, but that's the price you have to pay to avoid the bigger crazier stores and drive a little more to get there. As for the customer service, it's been getting a lot better, but I still don't know if this old smoking lady works there or was given a shirt because they felt sorry. Either way, don't be afraid to tell her to relocate if she's turned the red box to a smoking lounge, and she's a little frisky, so be prepared to get a little piece of her mind. I'm sure her title might be the Red Box Body Guard!
