My experience was very similar to Rizza S. I was not pressured in buying a car. Well, I walked in already knowing what car I am going for. I had in mind what are my needs. I was offered to test drive the Mazda 3. I came in during the Covid time and to make things difficult I didn't really know the area very well and I asked if my sales guy can go with me. He went and asked his manager if that was possible and all was good. Yes he had a mask on. My sales rep was Eric Maura. He was very knowledgeable about all Mazda cars. He himself owns a Mazda as well. He explained everything very well. I was super excited and at the end of the day I ended up purchasing the Mazda 3 GT AWD. I was super happy. I also got 0% financing. It was a super awesome deal. In the finance department, I was dealing with Navin Mahal and again, everything was explained very well to me. I picked up the car two days later. I had Eric arrange for an insurance broker to come in to do the paperwork. I mentioned to Eric the license plate that I wanted. He had that arranged as well. When I picked up my car, he explained everything very clearly to me again and reminded me all of the specs. I walked out super happy and was very pleased. I had a poor experience at this dealership, and I will not be coming back. I warn you against the practices of this dealership. I went to get a service for my CX5 for its 30K (typical oil change) and the service rep told me that per the kilometers of the Mazda, I need to service the brake calipers, and the cost = CAN $ 400 + oil change charge. According to Mazda's official website, part of the service requires just inspecting brake lines, hoses, and connections. I asked the rep if I could reschedule that expensive service, and he put a lot of pressure on me to get it done right away because it could void the warranty. A few days later, I contacted two other dealerships in the region and asked if the vehicle needed that expensive service, and they stated it was not needed, so I called the service manager to complain. The service manager did return my call, but his response only added to my confusion. When I asked about the service they were trying to upsell, a service that the CX5 did not need and WAS NOT listed in the Mazda's required maintenance, his answer was vague and unsatisfactory. I will definitely try to avoid this dealership. Please do your homework, and DO NOT trust anything they say without first getting a second opinion, especially if you do not know much about cars. I learned the hard way. Just follow whatever is recommended by the owner's manual. read more

I didn't feel any pressure buying a car from this dealership. I was even challenged to try out other brands to see how it compares to Mazda. Our sales guy was Omer Nizami. I would recommend buying a car from him. He is very knowledgeable about the product he is selling and if it gets to a point were he is not sure, he will research it for you and get back to you with an answer. Me and my husband bought 2 cars (CX-9 and CX-3) from this dealerships 2 weeks apart. That's how happy we are with Mazda. I personally was looking at another brand for subcompact suv. Took in my car to repair a broken door handle and to check a dashboard warning light. Left with interior door panels loose, trim panels broken, and a broken headlight that was fine before. "It must have burnt out while you were driving it in"... Really? Also tried to push unnecessary parts, quoted an approximate $500-$600 but charged $915, said that the difference was "due to taxes included"... A repair work that damaged the car, shady billing and null client service. I might give them the benefit of the doubt regarding the headlight (they do burn out eventually), but the crappy standard of work on the door repair makes me question all of their work. read more

I went to look at some used cars with my husband and had my eye on a white Mazda 3. We were greeted fairly quickly as we walked into the dealership. There were about 4 people working the floors or in their office. After telling the manager what we were looking for, he assigned on of his sales reps to us. Now this guy was the typical used car salesman. He talked about the car, tried to upsell us and even talked about his family. That's normal, we expected that, but what we didn't expect was for him to start pulling out stats and info on the car out of his ass. I didn't know any better because I'm not a huge car person, but my husband is a car fanatic. He has even fully researched the car before we stepped foot into the dealership. My husband told me later that a lot of the information was exaggerated or straight up lies to make the car sound better. Imagine if it was someone who didn't know that much details about cars. I found that utterly sneaky and just plain rude. They get a 2/5 since I'm not sure if we were to deal with another rep, it would have been a better experience. read more

I've been her to buy winter tires and for an oil change. I am a low mileage driver, about 12000 km a year During the initial consultation the service rep did not even try to sell me any extra service I don't need. They offer shuttle service to nearby locations but unfortunately my office is outside their service area so I used the waiting area. There are two desks to do work at a laptop and a bunch of chairs, but the whole area is squished between the service desk and the showroom floor and gets cramped during busy times. They offer free wifi and coffee. The service was reasonably quick and they checked into some extra stuff I mentioned to make sure everything was alright. They usually wash your car except if the air temperature is too cold (it was around 3 degrees today). They could have vacuumed the floors like they usually do with the wash though. Pretty good experience, met but did not exceed expectations. read more

Daniel Lin is quite knowledgeable and very friendly. Another good guy was Omer Nizami. I understand though he has left Metrotown Mazda. To me, after-sales service and support are more important than the car buying experience especially since many people use CarCost and Unhaggle now. Just so everyone reading this is aware, Metrotown Mazda is a Yelp advertiser. Long time service manager, Frank has retired and it seems to me the change in management is quite obvious. The seasoned service reps seem unhappy to me working under the former service rep, Brad who is now the service manager. And one particular service rep, Derick is someone I don't recommend anyone deal with because in my opinion, he lacks personality and emotional intelligence. As with many dealerships, I wouldn't recommend having your car washed here because in my experience the guys wash the cars too quickly. Your car often has missed areas especially the wheels. They tend to keep using dirty wash water instead of changing it often. On the plus side, they do a pretty good job of vacuuming the inside of your car. In general, it seems to me that Mazda Canada lets most of their dealerships do as they please which is why you see that most Mazda dealerships on Yelp have low ratings. read more

Bought a car from Steven Yang and it was nothing but a positive and enjoyable experience. Steven was the antithesis of the car salesman cliche and was fantastic. He was low key but helpful, listened, was not pushy in any way, just felt like a normal guy who happens to be selling cars. Dare I say the entire car buying process was actually fun and enjoyable. I also found the sales manager Gordon to be cut from the same cloth. Perhaps he's setting the tone on the floor as he was a breeze to deal with. I have Mazda 3 which is just 4 years old. Today I have 96000 km service done. Although my car mileage is only 86000km, they strongly recommended me to do the 96000km. They checked my car and said I need to replace my front brakes pad and rotor, and the battery needs to be replaced. I asked Daniel can they polish the rotors instead of replacing them. He said they are too thin to polish. I said go ahead and it ended up costing me over $500 to replace the front brakes not including tax, and the service costed me $1330. What a rip-off. A service + front brake + battery replacement costs over $1300? I will never go back to them again read more

The service is really bad and unprofessional. I took my car here to install the Apple CarPlay. I had a struggle to connect with my phone and I wanted to ask more about functions of the one I just installed. I went back to the office and asked for help. I spoke to the lady. Her name is Heather - Sale person. She was really rude and poor manner. She communicates to me very impolite. Also, we went to my car to check and she said "Go online and look for it". I had a passenger door window broken at work two days ago . I know this dealership now handles glass repairs , so I called the service desk, talked to Heather and she set things up so I could drop my car off the next am early , have a loaner there for me and pick my car up that afternoon. This was more convenient for me than going to a glass shop. Sure you're paying a little more but it saved me the stress of trying to find a shop and set up a time to come in, especially with rain in the forecast for the next day . However, the salesman gave me instructions how to do with the car although it was a civic holiday, and in addition, they exchanged the battery for free! While the rest of the service dept. is fine, Brad Jackson, the service manager provides extremely questionable advice and customer service. He's previously up-ordered a regular oil change to premium oil (to increase the charge) but claimed that I've instructed him to do so when questioned, advised that my spark plug requires changing (before inspecting the plug, vehicle or determining my mileage) even though Mazda's service manual indicated that the spark plug should be good for an additional 5 years or 70,000 km, and made disparaging comments to me. It's a shame as this is my third new Mazda (I love their cars) - and the first one purchased from Metrotown Mazda. Sadly the service does not live up to the vehicle itself. read more

My family bought a mazda 2 from this dealership and had numerous amount of complaints ever since. The asian salesman described the car like it was the best car in the market. Exaggerated on a lot of features, and mislead my family into thinking that these features were included with the price of the car. That is until they bought the car and found out that there were add on fees to be added for the features. When it came to the scheduled oil change, the customer service was very poor. I bought my Mazda 3 from Metrotown Mazda in 2008 and I have had it serviced at the dealership since day 1. The service technicians appear to be more interested to hiking up the charges than in providing reliable service and generally try to up sell every time you come in the door - change your transmission or brake fluid, your tire sidewalls are scuffed and dangerous to drive on, we will service your brakes as part of the total service and then charge you the full amount for a brake job. They never seem to give a break to a loyal customer. The last service was finally the straw that broke the camel's back - over $700 for a rear brake job and an oil change with a couple of minor additions of new wiper blades and a new brake light bulb ($25) labour charge. I will never take a car to Metrotown Mazda again as I want to feel that I am getting good value for my money from a repair shop I can trust. It is expensive to maintain a car and more so than you would expect if you rely on Metrotown Mazda. read more

I recently bought a mazada 3 back in December of 2015 and I was happy with my choice until I had to take it into the service department today. First of all it took me over a month to even get a appointment with them. When I took my car in they instantly starting pointing out stuff claiming that I modified my car even though I did not. I always bought extended warranty and they still tried charging me 4 hours of labor. Lastly I took my car in because it was leaking from the ac had and these guys claimed that I poked holes into the hose myself which is ridiculous. It's a brand new car and why would anyone even do that. I am very dissatisfied with the service and how I was treated. To anyone that is looking car I highly suggest you look elsewhere. My first new car that I bought myself from my years of hard earned savings was a 2015 Mazda 3. Metrotown Mazda does a separate leathering on any of their trim for extra cost (approx 1500 dollars). So I liked the sales guy and I liked the idea of having leather seats so I bought a brand new car and brought it in one week later to get it done. The morning I picked it up, I was horrified. The "new" leather had scratches, rips, there were parts on the edges not tucked in so had white inner stuffings sticking out. I even had scratches on my plastic head rest adjusting part. I was beyond angry and emailed the sales guy and sent him pictures. It took a while for them to get back to me but they said they would redo my leather. It was a bad start especially for a brand new $27,000 dollar car. I forgave and tried to forget. People called me stupid for it, but I didn't want to stay in such a bad mood. A few weeks ago I got a letter for a recall on my mazda vehicle so I brought it in yesterday to get it done. It took an hour or so. I took it home to find ridiculous scratch on the front bumper part that wasn't there in the morning. I called them, and they brushed me off and told me they would give me a call back. I never got that call. I went there today, and had a guy take a look. He brought out a pen and started coloring it in. It's obviously too deep to be done with a paint pen. No apology, no offer of getting it done properly. Like really??? Obviously they would have standards in place before they service cars to check for pre-existing damages on cars. They wouldn't even look it up. Obviously they don't care. They have gotten their money, nothing else matters. Nothing really rings "service" at this place unless they want your money. Don't buy here and don't take it in or you'll end up with a "used & damaged" car before one year of getting a new one.
