This was our very first stop of the day after a long flight to Paris from California. Excited to stumble upon this place and we decided to give it a try. But unfortunately we didn't like the food. It wasn't the best for us personally. I definitely think it's worth a try though so you can see for yourself. Everyone has different expectations of taste at a Latin restaurant. The service is great so I don't want to completely dismiss this for others. Just wasn't for us. But it's okay it's only day 1 of exploring all of the yummy food of Europe! read more

This little restaurant delivers big flavor. Their tort chips are crisp hand made spoons to scoop up the guacamole and spicey sauce along with the tender chicken in our nacho plate. The empanados where golden crisp. Last but not least was rhe chicken queisidilla equally well accompanied by spicey sauce and guacamole. Service was attentive. The Margherita not fussy. My daughters reccomend it for any one Montparnasse with a yen for Mexican. read more

A complete joke! I ate here on August 21st around 7:30. My partner and I ordered the guacamole and queso as an appetizer. The queso was just shredded cheese heated in a microwave that made it impossible to eat. The kitchen was basically 1 person heating up things in 4 different microwaves. Nothing changed since the reviews I read from January of 2018. Horrible service and it's dead, not another soul in here. The food is whatever. Definitely warmed up. I'm actually surprised that the seasoning isn't the usual Mexican spices. Since my husband told me, they're nationality is Mexican. Before my husband moved to the US, he told me...he used to eat here quite often. I have shown him the real Mexican food in Southern California. It's 99% different than this place. The only thing that's the same is the name and the look of the food, but doesn't taste anything like it. Any the food isn't fresh. I wouldn't recommend eating here. read more

Pretty cool Mexican place if you're in the 5th near Saint Michel! A great place to grab lunch! They do offer lunch menus with a starter (think chips and salsa or melted cheese), and a burrito with a drink for around 10-12€. If you're ordering "à la carte", the Abu gobi is to-die-for! The staff here are adorable, and so sweet. They put a lot of love into everything they serve. The wait can sometimes be a bit long for your food to arrive (as the staff is small and prep everything as you order), but in the meantime, why not feast your eyes on the decoration of the restaurant? Just adorable - some many cool and colorful knick knacks from Mexico. You really feel transported somewhere else when you eat here. Is this the best Mexican food I've had? No. But it's a cool place to check out if you happen to be in the area and are craving Mexican. The decor alone is amazing! read more

English & French review. The absolute worse "Mexican" food I have ever had. The food is warmed up! NOT cooked fresh. They have about 20 microwaves to warm up old frozen food. Guacamole is disgusting! The burrito is not a real Mexican burrito. It has black beans and shredded chicken. A real burrito should have spanish rice, pinto beans and carne asada or chopped chicken breast plus onion and cilantro if you'd like. The salsa was ok. The girl who was working there was completely alone and isn't even Mexican. She's Chilean and has no idea. Ugh. DO NOT GO. PLEASE! I can cook REAL Mexican food 100 times better than this. La pire nourriture "mexicaine" que j'ai jamais eue. La nourriture est réchauffée! Non cuit frais. Ils ont environ 20 micro-ondes pour réchauffer les vieux aliments congelés. This place has really gone down hill over the last couple of years. For starters, they cook the food ONLY in microwaves. They have 5 or 6 of them...they are the entire kitchen! Our burritos were garbage. Gross. The vegetarian burrito was pretty much all-potatoes and a little bit of cheese. It was soggy (because it wasn't baked), and without flavour. Mexican food uses Mexican spices, ladies. You got it wrong. The beef burrito was low on flavour and high on filler. Sloppy, with nasty red sauce clearly out of a can. There is NO excuse for this tasteless, poorly-made, jive food. The two women who ran the place were rude from the minute we walked in. I'm a seasoned French traveler, fluent in French, and well-accustomed to proper French manners and social interactions. These two women are the worst we met on this particular trip. They are crabby, rigid, and unashamed of the low quality of their product. The restaurant is a dusty mess, with boxes everywhere. Bottles of hot sauce were spilling out onto the floor near our table. So cluttered that the women stood behind the register and made me shout my order across the restaurant (that is NOT the French way), despite offering "table service." Get it together. Train your cooking staff and learn some manners. Maybe show up to work a little early and clean the place once per month. read more

Small restaurant and small kitchen with good Mexican food. Menu is very small, but enough to satisfy your Mexican itch while touring in Paris. The staff was VERY friendly and as an added bonus spoke Spanish! Good salsa (spicy!), guacamole, burritos, and Quesadilla. We'll be back next time in Paris! read more

This place should be called "Two Guys and a Microwave." The kitchen has 4, maybe 5, microwaves and there was a spare microwave in a box in the dining area. Quesadillas and burritos were microwaved, making the tortillas taste like leather. There is no excuse for this. Margarita was made using refined sugar and cheap mix in one of those slushy/granita machines you see all over France from street vendors. They don't even carry black or pinto beans. Rather, they use red beans that come refried and cooked in packets. The only reason this place gets 2 rather than 1 stars is because their uncooked ingredients in their salsas and guacamole were reasonably fresh and tasty. The "two guys" were also nice people. If you are going there looking for mexican groceries, the choices are very few. They have some salsas, mole & tortilla shells, a couple of other things I can not recall. The pictures show items such as Cholula (sp?), canned beans, chipotle peppers in adobo etc. They have none of this anymore. I didn't eat there, went specfically looking for Topatio hot sauce. You can find Cholula & Valentino hot sauce at Izrael Epicirie near the Marais, but better take a loan out. A small bottle of Cholula is $9 Euros and a small Cholula is I think $12. That makes the liter size bottle about $100 euros if they had it. Bring it with you if you need it. That said, Izrael had a ton of spices & dry black beans. Mexi and Co. looked like the food may have been good though, I will try it next time I'm in Paris. read more

We stumbled across this restaurant while walking around the Latin Quarter on a Saturday looking for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at the delicious food and fun atmosphere. About as close to real Mexican food as you can get in another country (it's never quite as authentic as one always hopes). I wish I could give more stars, but a few things are holding me back. One thing can't be denied, though: the interior is lovely! Very colorful, Latin vibes, nice ambiance; and a fun touch is that you're surrounded by all of the Mexican foods (sauces, canned beans, beer...) that you can buy in this restaurant/épicerie. There are only a few choices on the menu, which shows that everything is freshly made. And still, I expected a little more from the food. It was okay, but the quesadillas were kind of tough and nothing was particularly mind-blowing. Another thing: I was a little surprised when the waitress removed our empty plates to serve our main dishes and then 'asked' (more like: demanded) me to take back the fork and knife I just used. Huh? Kind of strange since on each table, there's a cup holding enough cutlery. The service was very quick though! This is a place for an easy, non-fancy Mexican meal; but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. read more
