Oh boy! Never before have I tasted such wonderful chile rellenos and pork tamales. I mean, those things are too good to be true. Throw in some beans and rice, with a cold Dos XX, and you're set for the night. I don't know what their secret is, but there's something they do that sends these two particular items to the next level. Each bite was as mouth-watering as the one before. The beans were good too, and let me tell you, their after effect put me in a state. Rare form, or should I say, rear form? Let's just say that it was a good thing that my girlfriend wasn't with me for the next couple of days. Oh my. The rice was good as well. I wish there was more of it and fewer beans on the plate. Had there been, I may have exhausted my exhaust before I got to Wyoming! Maybe you'll have better luck. Don't let a little methane keep you from enjoying what the House has to offer. When in Meeker, you don't have a lot of choices. I find the Mexican House to be consistent and all the dishes I've tried are very good. I love the hot sauce they make on the Carne Asada Tacos. Our whole family loves the bacon wrapped shrimp with a side Queso dip to dip them in. Yum. You can usually tell how good a Mexican restaurant will be by the salsa and margaritas. They both win! We are here a lot during the winter snowmobile season because it has good food and the staff is always so nice. read more

Been going to this place every three months for a few years. Have noticed a steady decline in food and especially service. They have never been busy at all, but they make you almost beg for a drink refill, salsa refill, chip refill. This last time was my final time. Chips were cold and burned. Service sucked and the food was no where near as good as it was a year or so ago. It's a small town and I understand that, but they will go under if they continue the way they are going. Three is we're starving after a great day fly fishing on the South Fork of the White River when we found this place. Great food and great service. I had the traditional enchilada's, which was one pork and one chicken enchilada with sides of rice and refried beans. I also had a tamale as a side. Everything tasted great, the tamale was one of the best that I've ever had. read more

Clean inside, cutely decorated, tejano music playing...great Mexican food restaurant vibe. Our server was friendly & attentive & didn't flinch at my off-menu requests. I had the Grilled Chicken Salad with (don't judge) a fried egg on top, and a grilled jalapeño (we call them chile toreados back home). The chicken breast was large, nicely-seasoned, tender, & juicy. Everything was delicious and fresh. My colleagues had the Camarones al Mojo (loved it) & the Chicken Fajita Salad (wasn't very hungry but was pleased). I was in Meeker for a few days and wound up eating at Mexican House for three nights. I got different meals each night. They were exceptional from day one and got better each time. First night was the fajita burrito with this meat that is pouring out flavor. So I had straight fajitas the second night, steak and chicken combo, and their flavor profile for fajita meat is amazing. Third night I tried the beef chimichanga and enchilada combo (pictured). It looked amazing when it came out and then tasted even better. Ambiance was great and service was exceptional. If you go to Meeker and don't eat here then you're missing out. Best place in town for a great dinner. read more

Has the opportunity to spend a couple days in Meeker and these folks catered one of our meeting lunches and we also stopped in for dinner. Their food was quite tasty overall and their team was very friendly and attentive. When we came for dinner the beer was cold, the food was good, and the service was outstanding. Stopped in for dinner while working in Meeker. The town is pretty small and there are not many choices. Decided Mexican food sounded good so chose this place. The parking lot was full and many people dining inside. Staff was very nice and even though they were slightly understaffed kept up with the work. Enjoyed a draft beer that was nice and cold while waiting for food. They did bring chips and salsa as well. Honestly thought the salsa was terrible and the chips were not great but tasty. I asked for a hotter salsa and buy waitress did bring out a very good hot salsa. I ordered a shrimp burrito and it was massive. It had a lot of good sized shrimp that were cut up into pieces and several tiny shrimp that were kind of salty and unnecessary. Would have been a five-star meal without the tiny shrimp. Overall a very satisfying dinner experience in a very small town that wasn't expected. read more
