Above average Mexican food would return. Got a seat at the bar very good service. Great Skirt Steak

My husband and I had dinner at Fiesta Jalisco because it was walking distance from our hotel, and we are always in the mood for a good margarita. The place was busy, we had to wait a bit but were lucky to get a table without much delay. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with plenty of booths. The service was friendly and the food pretty good overall. The carnitas were especially yummy with big chunks of flavorful pork. However, my husband's plate of enchilada adn tamale was not as successful for us, it tasted very sweet. The margarita menu is impressive, but we were surprised to see that all of them were priced around $20. Looking at other tables, we quickly understood that there is no regular size option, you get the giant one or nothing. Fine with me, although it would be nice to have the option of a regular size for those who don't want to drink that much. Because of its convenient location to the hotel, we'd likely return if staying in the same area.

Recommended by our hotel staff. All of the plates and drinks were massive! It's been over a month and I think I'm still full. My group had queso, a carne asada plate, a combo (tamale enchilada and taco), the Chile Colorado, and spicy margaritas. The medium sized margarita was huge!!! Everyone enjoyed their meal. The tamale was the highlight of my combo. Super yummy. Service was decent. Easy for big groups / kids. Not super lively as it is a little bit off the main stretch of restaurants / bars. We will definitely go back on our next trip.

I am rounding up from 2.5 stars. These folks are too far North to remember what good Mexican food tastes like. Firstly, we got two of the most boring bloody marys ever made. Then we ordered fajitas - one beef one chicken. The beef fajitas were bland, and the meat was cooked so dry that I swear it was pork. The chicken was powder dry, too. We complained at every turn, and our server either couldn't effectively communicate in English or pretended to not quite understand. To be fair, the guacamole was pretty good. Otherwise, there are a lot of restaurants in Steamboat. Think twice about this one.

This was on the wall of the restaurant thinking it should be in a steakhouse LoL

When I arrived Sunday I decided to check this place out because it's right across the creek from my hotel. Ordered a burrito and it was big and filling and pretty good. Decided to return for dinner tonight or I had a small combo, which was huge including a chicken chimichanga and a little chili relleno with rice beans sour cream and a dash of guacamole. BTW I ordered a medium sized margarita it was okay but for the price, actually disappointing as I did not taste any tequila and did not even get a little buzz on an empty stomach.

We had a chance to eat inside and yet again the food was delicious per usual! Make sure to try their Cadillac margaritas. In terms of food, you can't go wrong with anything that you order!

Good Mexican food in Steamboat. Service was really good. Was told there was a 15-20 minute wait at 5pm on a Friday, but it was only about 5 minutes. Lots of families, groups of young adults, couples, etc. Food expensive but priced typical for a mountain resort town. Menu accounts for all nickel and diming, but we actually weren't charged for all the little things (menu said we would have been charged for a lemon wedge for water, a second basket of chips, takeout containers, etc). One MAJOR improvement would be to have a true vegan option or make the vegetarian options more flexible--for example sub cheese/sour cream for an additional spoonful of guac. There was cheese on my vegetarian nachos side plate even though I said no dairy. If you have a dairy allergy be extremely careful!! Overall I would return here for Mexican food.

The food had little flavor. The service was terrible. Taco bell would have been better and worth the cost.

At this point it feels like half or more of the restaurants we try are doing this. Not piping hot, not even warm... just straight up cold or barely room temp. And somehow we're still expected to pay $150 at the end and smile like everything is great. This place was no different. The food took forever, easily 45 minutes to an hour. Then the rice and beans come out and they're actually colder than room temperature. The rice was crusty like it had been sitting at the bottom of a pot for days. I said something and they brought another one... same temperature, cold. The rice was a little fresher so clearly they swapped it out the old crusty one they tried to pass off as acceptable the first time but still cold. It's honestly ridiculous. Long wait times are one thing, but then to have the food come out cold and crusty and act like it's fine is not okay. It's getting to the point where it's rare to find a place that actually serves hot food, which should be the bare minimum. Don't go here. Don't support this. Maybe if enough people stop accepting it, restaurants will remember that hot quality food is kind of the whole point. What a disappointment and a complete trick, I would have never gone to this place if I knew the awful quality and standard.

This visit, we ordered the Watermelon Gazpacho (GF), Beef Short Rib Anticucho (GF), and Ensalada de Manzana y Manchego (GF). The Beef Short Rib Anticucho was the star of the meal, at least for me, I honestly wanted more because it was so good! The salad was also delicious and, while definitely more apple-heavy than greens, they were happy to accommodate my request for extra greens. My only criticism is that the menu doesn't mention the compressed watermelon in the gazpacho is infused with sangria. As someone who no longer drinks alcohol, I could definitely taste it and wish that had been disclosed on the menu. Overall, Besame remains one of my favorite spots in Steamboat. Consistently great food, great service, and always a solid dining experience.

We ordered about 10 different toppers for the table, so it was pretty good odds to find a couple that weren't winners, but I have to be honest. The ambience is so cute, very swanky, but anything in Colorado still feels casual because everyone shows up in flannels and T-shirts. We had a 5 o'clock reservation and were sat right on time, and the service was really great. I started with a Pisco sour, one of my favorite drinks and really uncommon to find in this part of the world. It was delicious. I could've drank five of them. We shared a bunch of tapas for the table, starting with the patatas bravas, octopus, ceviche, duck wings, yuca frita, croquetas, gyozas, and shishito peppers. The clear winner was the ceviche - not your typical Peruvian style, made with salmon and a thicker aji amarillo sauce. It was absolutely amazing and served with these yummy plantain chips that paired so well with it. Those were also a big standout. The texture was perfect both outside and inside. I liked the octopus too, and the patatas bravas were good but felt they could have been a little more crispy on the outside and had the sauce more well-distributed. The wings really were not memorable, overly breaded and thickly sauced. The yuca was the biggest letdown of the night, usually one of my favorite dishes, but these tasted like they came frozen from a bag and did not even finish microwaving before they were served. Still, I loved some of these dishes so much that I would definitely come back and stick with what I liked and try some new things too. Thanks!
