Mexico Lindo is hands down one of favorite places to eat while we're in Miles City. It's hard to find authentic Mexican food, especially this far east. This spot certainly delivers on food quality, friendliness, and value. I should start by saying the staff here is very welcoming. We've visited a handful of times now and each time has been very pleasant. I probably waited more than 10 minutes for water refill once, and to the server's credit, it was peak dinner time. We haven't had a bad dish here but the carne asada and chimichangas are two of our "go-tos". The carne has always been seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've been scarred by overcooked, almost burnt carne asada in the past and I certainly prefer not to relive that experience. What a great surprise. We were pulling over on a road trip for a quick bite and were ready to go with fast food until we saw this place and it got good reviews. Pleasant space, excellent food (not salty!) and a big staff, friendly and capable. And we spent less on lunch than we probably would have at Arby's or whatever anyways. Highly recommend. read more

Awful, awful, awful. JUST AWFUL. Do not bother with this place. Just walk on by and keep going. Our food was terrible; my daughter found a big hair on top of her scoop of sour cream. ~Gross~ My Chili Rellano was old, greasy and disgusting. I declined it and ordered A TACO instead. The waitress didn't even seem surprised at all. LOL And, the customer service was non existent. She never came back to check on us after we received our food. We had to flag down another server to get drink refills. And, to add insult to injury; this place is outrageously expensive. Why? Oh, I know. It's because they have no competition. This is the best Mexican food north of San Antonio, Tejas! Fantastic Carne Asada. The fried chile relleno is also excellent. Great portions and fair prices. Staff was super attentive. Everyone working here is always above and beyond friendly. The food is delicious, comes in large portions, and does not cost you an arm and a leg. I was the first to review this place about 12 or 13 years ago. This was our first time passing through again at a mealtime. I gave it 5* last time but it did not qualify for even close to that this time. It was packed for a Wednesday night but we got seated right away. The waiter took our order. Our food came out and was pretty good. The chips and salsa was good and the waiter got us more salsa when we asked. We finished eating and that's when the wheels fell off. We were hoping to order dessert but sat there for 15 minutes with our empty plates. I was busy booking a hotel for the night but my kids started asking what was going on. My young daughter wondered if they would even care if we just left. Finally after a few more minutes I got up and went up to the host stand/register and said I wanted to pay so we could leave because my server never came back. The guy finally came by and I told the lady that he was my waiter who never came back. He took over at the register and I commented that we were upset that he never came back. No apology whatsoever. He just snapped at me that he is busy. Fine, I get that you are busy, but don't be a jerk to me about your problem and at least apologize for being so rude and wasting my time. I guess they have enough business that they don't have to be nice. One star off for him. Another for not keeping the kitchen clean when I walked by on the way to the bathroom. Pretty good food, prompt service and nice decor make this place A-OK! Our food was pretty good, but not outstanding: veggie fajitas were typically good, a large portion, and came out very hot and sizzling. However, they used too much oil, so the bottom half of the grilled vegetable medley was especially oily, unfortunately. It's a shame, since they come with whole pinto beans, rather than the usual refried beans, on the side, so the uniqueness was dampened by grease, literally. Service was very prompt, but not friendly. I would've liked more interaction with our server, rather than the very quick delivery of food and leaving, which came across as perfunctory, rather than as professional. That said, we did get in and out in good time for our lunch. This place has more potential than my three star review might indicate, but there is room for small improvements that would make a big difference. It was a fairly good, but not great, experience. We stopped here as a take out option on our way through Montana, and it was amazing. We got the spinach burrito, and that homemade sauce they talk about is truly delicious. The burrito was a perfect balance of fillings - so rare to find one where the veggies are in proper proportion to the rice and beans! And the rice was the most flavorful we'd ever tasted. The staff was super friendly, even down to offering to help carry out to the car, and making sure the drink holder held up, and the inside of the restaurant was so large and pretty and inviting I'd wished we'd eaten in. My only regret is that we don't live here so we could eat here all the time. read more

Authentic Mexican food FAR north of the border. Since I live in AZ, I indulge in Mexican cuisine on a regular basis. My cousin wanted my opinion on this restaurant since she loves it. Honestly, it's legit. I ordered the chili Colorado and beans. We normally shred the beef to make burritos, but cubed is typical in restaurants and it had perfect flavor. On a cross country road trip, yelp led me to Mexico Lindo. I stood in the waiting area while people buzzed around me for about 5 minutes, but when another couple of guys walked in, they were immediately seated. OK. May be the dude just didn't see me. Or thought I was waiting to pay. I after sitting, it took another 10 minutes before anyone took my order. Same dude that skipped me in seating. Hmmmm.... And this is when i went horribly wrong by straying from the recommendations from fellow helpers and instead took the advice of the very waiter who had ignored me twice. He is Mexican and presumably knows the authentic dishes, and he recommended the pollo con arroyo, and I went with it, since I'm from Texas and love the authentic stuff. The chicken is breast meat, so at least it's not "mystery mix" but it's petty bland and not very Mexican. Bleh. May be I would have had a different opinion of I tried something else, but I would not recommend this place. read more

We decided to stop here for an early dinner. It's in a little strip mall next to a Dollar Tree. At 4:00, there weren't a lot of other patrons so we were seated quickly. The wait staff was competent and friendly. Soon the usual chips and salsa were placed on the table but upon inspection the salsa was different. Lots of fresh veggies in the spicy one. It was very fresh and tasty. My mom and daughter shared chicken fajitas and I had a combo plate with an enchilada, a taco and a chile relleno. The reviews said this was "authentic"Mexican but, outside of the salsa, it seemed like your average fare and about $3 more an entree than back home. The food was good. I liked my relleno best on my plate. Mom declared that there must have been a poultry shortage in that town as she didn't see much chicken in her dish. We did order a bowl of cheese dip which was very much like the cheese dip one makes with velveeta and Ro-tel tomatoes. Not bad but we are used to the white cheese dip. It only came in one size (Large for $7.50) and that was way too much cheese dip for three. Overall it was a pretty standard outing for Mexican food. read more

This was a good choice for the evening in Miles City. And quite the pleasant surprise. The decor was awesome and entertaining. And my server had a great accent. The customer service was top-notch. They came right away I got my beer right away and my food was out within 15 minutes. My only complaint was that the walls were a little dirty. Mexico Lindo was recommended to our group by the front desk manager at the hotel. He said it was a good place to feed teenagers. And he was right! I made a reservation about 20 minutes before our arrival. The staff was very friendly and ready for us when we walked through the door. I personally have a dairy allergy (not an intolerance) and typically get strange looks when I say no dairy, no cheese, no sour cream, etc. Our waiter was fantastic! Everyone ordered. My food came out perfect. None of it had dairy. As someone who has lived with a food allergy my entire life, having my order come out as I requested was a pleasant surprise. I didn't have to scrape anything off or send it back. They prepared the food just as I had asked. That was not what I expected in Miles City! Besides being so accommodating to my food allergy the food was DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend Mexico Lingo to anyone passing through Miles City. Didn't grab any photos- I was too busy eating my food. As our group left we received many farewells from the staff. What a friendly restaurant! Parking was easy too. read more

So I didn't expect this place to be a nice sit down restaurant, and went by myself. The servers managed to contain their looks of pity and placed me in a two-seater stall to minimize my embarrassment. The chips come with salsa and another fish of what I can only describe as Mexican kimchee. It's fantastic. I got a beef burrito that was very similar to the ones I'd had in SF's (heavily Hispanic) Mission District. The servers didn't bother me while I enjoyed a book with my meal. Love this American family style Mexican food! Delicious salsa and little almost kimchi-style veggie salsa with the usual complimentary chips and salsa. My shredded beef chihuahua enchiladas hit the spot, exact refried beans and rice that I would expect. My wife's enchilada and taco combo with beans and rice was also great and as expected. Friendly service even with all the covid19 precautions. I wish they were open monday but now that I know that I'm shopping on a different day :) Definitely recommended.
