Where I'm torn is the self check out. I find that the employees don't really trust the customers to know what they are doing. Despite a lack of formal training video session, I can still ring up produce and regular purchases with ease. The problem comes if I slow down to get my app up on my phone, or if I'm slow to get my payment card out of my wallet. The self check out supervisor will be 2 inches from me asking all sorts of irrelevant questions. I'm fine with them stating one time: welcome to Hy-Vee, let me know if I can help! But the micromanaging needs to be curbed. Are you worried about me ringing up oranges instead of apples! Or are just fully assuming that I'm stealing from you? I get it! Times are hard, and you are watching the bottom line, but please understand that we as customers are not walking in to your store for the purpose of stealing! We are people just like you! We want to ring up our groceries and get home. I find the Blue Springs location is the worst for this!!! I actually avoid HyVee if at all possible. Another issue I have is the store layout right near the check stands. There's no room! There are tons of displays, stacked food items, and tables with cookies and other bakery items. Again, you might have a plan of all of this, but it makes it hard to get to a checkout lane!

It's also in a pretty convenient shopping center - the intersection of Kietzke and McCarran is pretty much where everything else is. Prices are a bit higher than Whole Foods, and I haven't had a chance to compare them to Sprouts yet. However, product quality wise, this store is second to none, and has a lot of vitamins and supplements you cannot find elsewhere. Only policy that's a bit goofy is that you have to bring your own bags, as they don't provide any. Personally, while I understand why many people dislike plastic bags, it's a pain in the tush to deal with sometimes.

After simply requesting a balance and strictly nothing else, they decided to remove and flip my used tire claiming that it was installed backwards. My tires are the Douglas Performance llll All Season and a simple search shows that these are in fact not directional tires as I already knew. The "leader" argued this with me and refused to correct the mistake claiming they could only refund the money. Either way I would not recommend using this tire center, especially if you do not know much about your tires to begin with. Even with knowledge about my tires, I was argued down on it and I should not have to go and pay another establishment to do more work on my tire due to incompetency like this.

Plenty of great things are on sale which are hidden by the bathrooms. They got some exclusive products and items I've ever seen before like sea moss shots.
