Such a cute little shop in Odessa! We drove past on our way from Columbia to Kansas City. It's just a short jaunt off the highway and very worth the stop! I enjoyed a purple daze single scoop sundae with hot fudge and added banana. So good! We also had a traditional banana spilt. Such a cute location in a little downtown square area. This is a small town soda fountain and home of the Odessa Creamery, a fantastic local ice cream maker. With delicious flavors (caribou caramel, heavenly hash, and banana cream pie, to name a few), this soft ice cream is a must when you're in Odessa. They also have a grill, and I highly recommend their Philly cheese steak sandwich. The freshly battered chicken tenders are also cooked to perfection. Stop in for a refreshing treat or a meal. We had a good stop off the interstate for dinner. Chicken strips were good. Fries were a little soggy and my reuben was OK, only complaints we had but both were just fine to eat. Looked like the ranch and honey mustard were home-made. Counter order and food was out pretty quick. Ice cream was delicious, just be forewarned a "single scoop" is a lot of ice cream, we definitely could have split one and been fine. Waffle cone was really good, not sure what kind of magic pixie dust is in it, but would eat that on its own without complaint. read more

Delicious ice cream. I was driving back to Columbia from Kansas City and saw the sign for Odessa Creamery. I decided I am going to have an ice cream. The store is about a mile from the exit 37A. It has been a week since I went there, I can't remember exact what I had. I think I had the caramel pecan, double scoop on a waffle cone. I had taste test before I placed an order. One single taste and I made the decision to get that flavor, because it was so delicious. I need not try other flavors. The staffs were friendly. I went around 6pm on a Monday so it was a little slow in the store. When I asked for permission to take a photo, they were a little surprise and appear uneasy, but they allowed me to take pictures. The decoration is a mixture of old soda fountain store and a new modern style. It has a juke box which I thought was really cool. I highly recommend this place, it was a nice little break from driving and delicious ice cream. read more

I had been wanting to stop in and finally had the chance too. Their selection of ice cream is large and feel free to ask for a small sample of any you are interested in. I ended up with the apple strudel and it was excellent. At $2.25 a scoop it seems a little expensive, but the scoops are large and you can get two for four dollars. Also, I did not realize they had told too! I went back on New Year's Day of 2019 and tried their fries with buffalo chicken, ranch, buffalo sauce, cheese, bacon, and onions. The toppings were even better than the fries and it was pretty great they were open on New Year's Day. The overall atmosphere is great, not quite like an old time soda fountain but that motif. They have a number of bottled sodas from Frtiz in St. Louis and food options. I just wish they did have a true soda fountain. read more

We were driving by on I-70 on a road trip and stopped in for ice cream after seeing your billboard advertisement. Yelp says you open at 3. We arrived at about 5 after 3. But the door says you don't open till 4. You should update your hours on yelp so no one else makes that mistake. read more

Such a cute little ice cream shop! One of their freezers was out so I'm assuming they had less ice cream flavors than they normally have, but the flavors they had were amazing! I had the raspberry chocolate truffle ice cream and it was delicious. I also ordered a waffle cone with two scoops, but they don't skimp on the scoops so I got a TON of ice cream for not that much! Sad! Our order was taken, went to sit down and 1/2 the tables were dirty and flies hovering over the sticky messes, there was not 1 customer- not sure why tables couldn't be cleaned... Our order came out wrong, and totally missed one of the meals that was ordered. Not even on our ticket. Funny- Restroom had a sign: Wet your hands Apply soap & wash for 20 sec Rinse, use paper towel to turn water off. *water was motion and there was a hand drier **no knobs & no paper towels - made me and my 10 yr old daughter chuckle. read more

So it was about lunch time when I noticed a billboard for this place and decided to give it a try. Well worth the detour. It is a great retro style diner. I ordered a grill chicken sandwich and fries. The sandwich was very juicy and flavorful and tasted great. The French fries were as advertised, hand cut and very good too. A great ice cream parlour set in a beautiful historic building in downtown Odessa. The downtown area is worth a visit itself. As for the ice cream it's very reasonably priced and a wide range of flavours - something for everyone. The staff are local kids who work super hard. Single burgers are about $5 and they were SO much better than we would have gotten at a fast food restaurant that I was really glad we stopped there. It is worth noting that the place is darling with very clean, very nice aqua leather seats in the booths and two large wrap-around booths in the front that would each probably hold 8-10 people. The creamory is the best icecream parlor I have been in a long time. The atmosphere is clean and bright and it is a social place to go and see people we know. It is a perfect place for Odessa The low fat and low sugar is so yummy. All of the flavors are great. The service is the best bunch of respectable kids in our community. Awesome place. read more
