Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of a disaster, and I strongly advise anyone considering her services to proceed with extreme caution. Here are a few reasons why: 1. No Clarity:I showed Sara a reference photo for my microblading session, but she went beyond what I asked for. Without me asking, she used a tattoo gun to shade my eyebrows, leaving them too dark, too thin, and uneven. The result didn't resemble the photo at all, and I immediately knew something was wrong. 2. Dismissive Attitude During the Session:When I pointed out the issues at the end of the session, Sara denied there was a problem and insisted the brows looked good. She assured me that the brows would fade and any imperfections could be fixed during the "perfecting session." I trusted her, but the damage was already done. 3. Ignored Aftercare Requests:After the session, I messaged Sara to express my concerns, but she left me on read. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, hoping the brows would fade over time. They didn't. I reached out again months later, and again, no response. It wasn't until I found her email, almost a year later, that I finally got a reply. 4. False Apologies and Half-Hearted Corrections:When I finally reconnected with Sara, she admitted the brows were too dark, uneven, and thin and apologized. She offered to correct them for free, which I accepted. However, the correction process was painful, time-consuming, and drawn out: * I had to have three lightening sessions before we could even begin fixing the brows. * I was hesitant to proceed, fearing she'd mess up again and I'd have to start the lightening process all over. * The entire experience felt like a waste of time and money, not to mention the emotional toll of walking around with messed up eyebrows for nearly a year and scars after every session. 5. Inconsistent and Unclear Aftercare Instructions: Sara's aftercare instructions were inconsistent, even for the same procedure. For one session she said to keep them dry for at least 48 hrs, but another session she told me it was okay to wet my brows. This lack of clarity added unnecessary stress and confusion to the healing process. 6. Unprofessionalism and Lack of Communication:Before my appointment, I tried to ask questions via text to ensure I understood the process and my options. Sara became defensive and refused to discuss anything until my appointment. When I asked about the ink being carbon-free (since my brows had turned gray), she snapily responded that she would no longer be providing me with services. She even complained about the free corrections she offered, which felt incredibly unfair. 7. Hygiene and Professionalism Concerns:Sara's fingers always smelled strongly of cigarettes, even after washing. As a non-smoker, this was off-putting and raised questions about her hygiene practices. Additionally, she seemed disinterested and like she didn't want to be there, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. I was really hoping to work with Sara and have my brows corrected. I put my trust in her and highly regret it. Sara did help me get my eyebrows lighter but they still look gray and uneven. I spent almost two months looking at the Serenity Spa website and picking out exactly the services I wanted. I was GIDDY! I landed on the Indian Head Therapy, a facial, and then a chakra balancing massage, which a lunch in between. The facial and massage were both great. I would go back for each of those individually, for sure. The chakra balancing massage, in particular, was DELIGHTFUL. The Indian Head Therapy was so bizarre and not at all what I hoped for. It felt like the person who was supposed to do this treatment canceled at the last minute and they asked the esthetician if she could fill in. She started with my hands which immediately confused me because it's supposed to be head, neck and shoulders focused. It was super disappointing and I LOVE any and all head massages, but even when she got to my head, she was barely massaging it - I don't know how to describe it, but would not recommend. The layout of this spa makes the spa day not super ideal. In your robe, you have to traipse through the store front of the lobby, holding this super awkward basket full of all your belongings. I just felt so exposed and vulnerable naked in a robe, walking through a store! Lunch was $40. When I saw this on the website, I thought "oh! fancy lunch with some champagne! LOVE THIS!" and I was so excited. Now, I will say, I should have asked for details and I didn't, but lunch was a choice of salads or sandwiches, an iced tea and a Costco chocolate chip cookie. I would have said that $12 was a reasonable price for this meal. $20 would be a stretch. $40 was absolutely ridiculous. Like in ZERO worlds was that a $40 meal. The sandwich was a pesto chicken sandwich and it was tasty, but honestly, I was so confused by the price and the menu that I was distracted by that. Another thing to mention is the general vibe of the spa. I can't think of any other way to say this, so here goes: It feels as if everyone that works there is nervous about getting in trouble from someone and then they just panic snip at each other to try to prevent people from getting in trouble. The vibe is that everyone is on edge, nervous, cranky, worried. Especially the people at the front desk were overly friendly but then kinda snipping at each other or at the people providing the services and then rolling their eyes at each other. It was a really odd vibe. So, all in all, I might go back for a single massage or facial, but I wouldn't choose this for a spa day. Things that would greatly improve this place: 1. Lockers or a place to store things that doesn't involve awkwardly carrying a basket. 2. Some sort of passageway that does not involve walking naked through the lobby to your next service. 3. Some sort of meal improvement - either a glass of champagne and a lunch upgrade or a SIGNIFICANT price decrease. Also the Costco cookie was so insulting - even a slightly fancier dessert might have taken the edge of the price off... 4. A more pleasant vibe - it wasn't at all how people talked to me, it was how they spoke to each other. It was stressful to hear people clearly upset with each other. And it wasn't just 1-2 people - it was how everyone interacted with one another. Weird.
