Edgar was awesome! He responded quickly on a Sunday to my request. A few hours later he called me back and quoted me less than half of what Safelite charges. Safelite also tacked on bogus miscellaneous charges. The final bill reflected exactly what he told me on the phone. He offered me several times when a tech could come out either to my home or office. I had an issue and thought I'd need to cancel, telling him I only had about an hour window because something came up. No problem! It was pouring rain when the tech arrived. He was able to do the repair in about 30 minutes while the car was in the garage. I couldn't have been happier! read more

(Sigh), another business that doesn't care. Getting tired of this. Called up and scheduled an appointment last week for today. Was told there would be a follow up call the day before that never happened. Was told they had my wrong number. They have 2 places and both are showed to open at 8am. Called. 5 min to and no answer. Even stated, I guess they won't answer their phones u til exactly 8 am. Called for 15 min to find out when my appointment was since I didn't get a follow up. No answer for 15 min when I finally gave up. Left voicemail to cancel appointment and left my number. I finally called up to find out what was going on around 10:30 and finally got someone to answer. Mentioned all to them and they called the store and had someone reach out even after I told him don't worry about it. She reaches out and tells me they don't check voicemails until end of day. They also stated that the online advertisement is wrong and the Glenview shop doesn't open until 9am is why no one answered. How many more excuses can they have and still no sincerity on the phone. Got my windows tinted and got full chrome delete done. Tint came out bubbly on every window, and the chrome delete is already coming off. For the prices they charge you, you'd think they do a better job. Very disappointed read more

This place did a great job with my tints and has a lifetime warranty I later found out that my car has matrix dot patterns in the rear that looked hideous and they gave me the option of blacking it out and I was very skeptical at first but they reassured it would look Clean ans boy were they right! Buyer beware! I had my windshield replaced 6/19. The receipt clearly says " LIFE TIME WARRANTY IN LABOR". On 2/21 were several cracks. I went up to MG Auto Glass to discuss the issue. I understood that I would need to pay for repair, however, the women upfront told me they would not charge for labor. However, when I went to pick up car the story changed and they in fact charged me for labor stating there is no discount for labor. I will be filing a claim in small claims court.. Took my car to get the windows tinted. Looks like they did a decent job. There are some bubbles on the back rear window. Hopefully they will disappear in the next couple days. Went with the ceramic tint which was an upgrade for additional $25. Cost $228 and some change. Complaints: 1. They don't take checks. Came back to pay with a business check and they wouldn't take it. They should tell people upfront what their terms are either by signage or telling them when they drop off the vehicle. 2. I requested ceramic tint but the receipt says carbon tint (cheaper tint). Makes me wonder if they even put on the correct tint. The guy at the front counter didn't have any personality. Should have someone upfront with better customer service skills. read more

Made an appointment for 8AM to replace the back glass on my car. When I arrived no one was there. A few mins after 8 someone arrived, then spent 10 more mins on the computer and setting up before he would talk to me. Eventually he found my appointment and told me he didn't have the glass. He said "the order didn't go through, I don't know.." He offered to reorder for the afternoon. In the meantime it's starting to rain and water is getting into my car through the broken window. No apology for being late or for not having the glass as promised. Very unprofessional. The price may be lower other places, but not worth it. read more

Very unprofessional, I've made multiple attempts to reach out and settle a solution for the bad service provided. I reached out to the owner Mr. Ocote via email he said he would fix the percentage and it's been over a week and I have yet to hear back from him which lets me know they are not taking my business seriously. Someone referred and inquired for me about prices for MG and I couldn't remember who so I asked Pedro Ocote, who the person was so I could talk to them about my experience and he wouldn't tell me and didn't even want to deal with me. He sent me the information to the shop. My husband took the car without talking to me about it and the work itself is poor. If you're coming here to get your windows tinted, makes preparations to drop your car off. If not, you'll be waiting forever as I did. If time isn't of the essence, this is the place to go. I brought my subaru WRX hatch in to get 7 windows tinted to 5%. Other than the 3 1/2 hour wait in the front watching wheel of fortune and whatnot, I thought they did a damn good job. Every other shop charged well over $250. MG gave me a deal of $215 out the door for all 7 windows and they're still holding up pretty solid. I recommend all to come here for your tints. read more

I contacted MG AUTO GLASS for a price on coming out & replacing front windshield. I was quoted a price of 165.00 plus tax &small fee for coming out to my house. I agreed to do business with them and scheduled service the following day. The two men told me that I didn't need a windshield that was for the sensor since mine was broken. I agreed & replaced it and stated they would be back with a rear view mirror for me. For three days I called and asked for someone to please bring me a rear view mirror since it is against the law to drive my car without it. Everyday I spoke to a women who would promise that they be there in the morning and no one would show up. I asked to speak to the manager or owner and she state he would call me back but I never got a call. For 3 days I had to take the train to work since I was not unable to drive my car. I called and said I had enough and was needing my mirror and the owner to call me now and never got that call. I had to drive my car without a mirror to their location when I got there the lady in the front said she give me a in store credit of 30.00 cause they don't charge fee's to come to homes and didn't know why I was charged that. I told her that I like a refund cause I will not be coming back and I guess the owner said no. The owner Pedro who has not returned my calls said no to a refund. Then when I got in the car grease hand prints all along my inside of my car on the fabric. I couldn't believe this and again no return phone call when asked to speak to the owner Pedro. I $$ spent on the replacement I had to take the train for 3 days and now how to get my car detailed and that is $$$ at the dealer. This all could have been avoided if the owner would have done right by me the customer and I gave him plenty of time to do so. On the website is states Rated #1 in Lake County and Most likely the best around ... That has to be a lie cause they don't know how to take care of the customers or resolve issues. read more

Called to get price on passenger side window replaced on my Subaru impreza and they asked me if it was a two door or four door I said two door they told me they have the window In stock it would be 95.00 for installation so I said I'll be there in a hour when I got there they said it would take 1 hour so I said I'll be back in a hour to pick it up .then they call me in 15 min and say they don't have the window they thought it was a four door. They say they'll have it in the morning and install it when I call they say they still don't have the window now finally going on 3 days they say it's done when I Drive out to Waukegan from Buffalo Grove and get to the shop they say it's still not done after telling me it was. I had the same experience as previous customer. I was told the windows for my car were in stock. They could come to me within a 4 hour window or I could go in and get it installed right away. I get to the shop in 15 minutes only to wait over an hour for them to come out and tell me they don't have the windows and may have them that evening. If so they can possibly be done for me to pick up at close of business. I spoke with the owner and he agreed to give me $50 off for being inconvenienced. Windows didn't come in until the next day and I got a call by 10am. I did have to follow up before they closed the day before because I never got a status call. They did an ok job of getting all the broken glass out, I got the windows installed for $100 so I was cool. They had the best price in town. Not sure how they keep mixing up their stock tho'. read more
