MCACN is the world's largest all indoor car show devoted to muscle cars, dealer-built supercars and Corvettes. There were cars on display valued from $7,000 to $6,000,000. They had attendees from 40 states, and several countries with the furthest attendee bringing their car from Australia. 30,000 + attendees were there to view the cars on display. Knowing how strict the judging was going to be, I recalled meeting Frank the owner of Luminescent Detailing at a local car show in Gurnee. He impressed me with his car and knowledge of auto detailing. I called Frank and informed him of the upcoming MCACN show and although I felt my car was in great shape, I needed to take it to the next level to score well in the show. Although Frank's team was very busy he made the time to detail my Bullitt. I asked that he address the exterior finish, interior, engine compartment and undercarriage. After I dropped the car off, Frank immediately called to inform me of several imperfections in the finish that needed to be cared for to restore it to show quality finish. This kind of attention and honesty is why Luminescence Detailing is the best place for professional finish services in the Chicagoland area. When I met Frank the Friday of the show, the Bullitt looked better than it did on the original showroom floor. It has been transformed into a masterpiece and it gave me the confidence going in to the MCACN show that we would be displaying a winner. After we unloaded the car and the Bullitt was staged, I noticed a few scratches in the jewelry store lights that could cost in point deductions. I called Frank for advice on how to rectify the issues and he did not hesitate in stating he would be right over to take care of this for me. After Frank did his magic the scratches were removed, and the Bullitt was perfect even under the bright lights. This caliper of service is rare and a testament to how Frank treats all his customers by providing detailing services to the highest level of perfection. On that Saturday, the MCACN judge took 45 minutes to inspect the our Bullitt and we earned the top award which was a Blue-Ribbon Award with a score of 998 out of possible 1000 in the Street Stock Modified division. The exterior, interior and engine compartment scored 775 out of 775. The 2 points deducted with the undercarriage for an oxidized brake line and a tiny scratch under bumper which I think occurred during loading or unloading. This MCACN Blue Ribbon award would not have been possible without the excellent work by the Luminescent Detailing team and Frank. I plan to bring Frank my 2003 Mach 1 Mustang to work his magic on this spring as I prepare it for the 2019 MCACN show. I recommend that you reach out to Luminescent Detailing for all your auto detailing needs. There is truly no need to go anywhere else as they provide perfection every day in all that they do.

Very little soap, low water pressure and minimal rinsing. Further, the dryers worked so poorly I had to hand dry my car at the end. When you pull up the money is collected manually. The same person who collects the money then has to also guide the car into the car wash and also spray down the exterior manually. Then they have to go back and collect money from the next car. You can imagine this is a slow process. They really should have one person doing the payments and another doing the guiding and spraying. Once in, the car moves very slow and it is a long tunnel so it takes a long time to get to the end. The sprays and brushes are pretty minimal on the $2 wash. Also pretty much no dry on the basic wash. The result is so-so. Not exactly the best wash, but for this price, you really can't complain. They also have a free vacuum option. Overall, if you want the absolute cheapest wash and don't mind waiting, it is worth a try, but for a faster and better wash, there are other options for a similar price.

Jason (manager) asked me to try them again and I think I will. I am adding TWO Stars because the manager seems to care about his business and most importantly his customers (read his letter below). I got a "free car wash" by changing my oil there. I am not sure but I think this car wash is owned by the Arlington Toyota, I could be wrong. I drove to this car wash and the young lady explained what they were offering. It has been a while since I got the interior cleaned so I opted for the $50 option where it includes the interior cleaning and shampooing. First the car goes thru this tunnel (exterior wash) then you are directed to an area for the interior cleaning. This young man, I assumed to be a manager or a crew chief tried to tell me that I had paid to get the back seat shampooed. I told him that I thought I had paid to get all the seats shampooed. I told him how much I had paid and asked him what that included. He said he did not know. Now, I knew what he was trying to do. He was trying to get out of shampooing the front seats. This is not a first time where I had my car detailed or shampooed and I am very aware of the prices. I was already upset. I got hold of the young lady and asked her to inform the guy whether I had paid for all the seats to be shampooed or just the back. She went and informed him to shampoo all the seats. He tried to be nicer after that but this is my first visit to this car wash and he has already left a very foul taste in my mouth. From the pictures you can see that they did not do a good job of cleaning my car. It was not worth $50.00 Next time I get a "free car wash" from Arlington Toyota, I will only get the free wash. I will not waste any money at this car wash and that is too bad as the facility looked good. It always boils down to the employees and this car wash has bad employees.
