I was in serious pain and was seen on the same day I made the call, that in itself is amazing. Upon arrival, the staff was professional and very concerned about my condition. They listened closely as I described my ailment and told me everything that they were doing. When Dr. Blake came in I was very nervous and she recognized my heighten state. She took her time examining me and throughout the process she remained very calm and explained what she was doing. She gave me her diagnosis along with a follow-up treatment plan. The staff then proceeded to take care of all the follow-up appointments needed, from booking my MRI to calling my PCP to get prior approval. That has never happened to me with any other Doctor's office. Usually I'm the one making all the calls. I wish I could give Boston Pain Specialist a perfect 10 but 5 is the highest on Yelp. I totally recommend them if you are looking for caring and professional people.

I have RA and none of their procedures would work as I'm at the point where my joints need to be replaced. They refused to take over my pain management from my doctor, which makes me think they should have a tagline with their company name "Advanced Pain Management Center (except for pain medicine) and I wouldn't have wasted so much time completing a huge packet of paperwork and the time going there. I guess if procedures could help you then check it out, if you need pain care medication management, look elsewhere!

And upon meeting Dr. Wang I automatically felt at ease which brought me to tears because I finally found a Doctor Who cared, listened and evaluated me. After 18 years, I have finally found a Doctor Who has come up with a plan to help me through this pain with a plan. She was very detailed in her assessment and she was very detailed into telling me my different options along giving me handouts that explain more of what procedures I will be getting. I am so happy to finally find a Doctor Who understands and does not judge. This is the type of physician I have been looking for for so long and I am so happy to be able to have met her and to work with her. I cannot recommend her enough . She barely let me say my name, when she demanded to know why I wanted to see them. She let me know, they no longer are a "full service" pain clinic. They do not do anything but injections. When I tried to inquire more, she already decided I was not a correct fit and told me to look elsewhere. I tried to even ask where they'd recommend I look. (Surely before they stopped all their treatment plans, they sent their patients somewhere?) Nope, nothing. Then hung up. So unless you just need a steroid injection and willing to wait a long time, check out somewhere else.

I was told to bring in my X-rays from 2020, patient notes from my NC doctor along with the measurements for my specific case. I had been experiencing headaches and nausea so this is what alerted me to know my atlas was off and needed adjusting. I waiting 6 weeks for a New Patient appointment, brought the hard copies of all the information requested. Here are the PROS and CONS of my experience. PROS: Location of office easy to get to/ Parking is plentiful. CONS: Doctor took me 25 minutes late for my 1st appointment after being urged to arrive early to complete paperwork/ Dr. Dolan disputed my medical history of having "ruptured discs" in my cervical spine...saying they couldn't be ruptured despite the MRI saying they were herniated / During his new patient exam (within 5 minutes of my running shoes being taken off) he tried to sell me the orthotics he sells..saying my "type" of foot would lead to knee and hip issues without having them / After the new patient exam, reviewing my X-rays and Orthogonal Measurements from my previous doctor...he informed me he still needed more information and asked me to call my NC doctor. The end result is that I paid $165 for a new patient exam which consisted of him measuring my leg length, having me touch my toes, lift and lower my chin and then him feeling around on the back of my skull and neck. He wanted more information from my NC doctor, but after talking with them on the phone a few days later, still decided he needed me to come in for him to take all new X-rays (3 x $65) + a follow up X-ray ($65) post my first adjustment. I have seen 2 other Atlas Orthogonal doctors and have never experienced so much delay and uncertainty. Sadly, I have decided to continue flying back to NC to get my tune ups when needed, rather than trust my care to Dr. Dolan who made me feel like he only wanted to charge me for more things, didn't value my time and only valued his way/opinion. Best of luck if you need Atlas Orthogonal care. I would have given ZERO stars is possible and do not recommend anyone to this practice.
