They have a wide range of specialities, including podiatry, cardiology, a cancer center, dermatology, pediatrics, neurology, primary care, OT and PT. It's easier to obtain an appointment there than in MGH's downtown location. Consequently if you live in a western or northwestern suburb, it's your best bet for MGH care. The front line receptionist staff are happier and more patient orientated than the main downtown hospital. I speculate that this "happy" atmosphere even permeates medical appointments. It certainly has been my experience that physicians seemed more relaxed. The doctors often split their time with MGH downtown. They have an in building eatery. There is a podiatry speciality store selling lots of cool speciality products for your feet. The building is surprisingly aesthetically pleasing. It is appointed with wide and spacious hallways and this makes it particularly wheelchair friendly. You can relax in comfortable armchairs in a sunswept atrium. So it's ideal if you are accompanying a friend or family member for a medical procedure. (Parts of it remind me a a pleasant hotel lobby.) There is easy and close access to the highway - another plus for people with disabilities. Indeed the entire experience there is disability friendly! I like the elevators, they are numerous, spacious, and fast - something you will appreciate when need to leave quickly.

Dr. John Kwon, MD (MD!, not DPM), is an expert, Fellowship trained Foot and Ankle orthopedic surgeon, who exudes expert, state of the art, compassionate care. Dr. Kwon surgically repaired a complex foot condition of mine, and, here I am, six months post-op, and I so regret not having my foot condition repaired, years prior, by Dr. Kwon. I am grateful to an MGH orthopedic surgeon for referring me to Dr. Kwon. Dr. Kwon's Care Team includes a Physician Assistant by the name of Patrick Maguire, who is a superb clinician, as well. Dr. Kwon and Patrick Maguire function as a very cohesive team, and collaborate closely. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Kwon updated Patrick Maguire about what he discovered of my condition, in the operating room, while Patrick was seeing patients in the Foot and Ankle clinic. I saw Patrick several hours, later, as we were leaving Day Surgery, and Patrick had already heard about my surgery from Dr. Kwon, even though Dr. Kwon, and Patrick, were in two different places. Dr. Kwon's support team, in the office, two, very caring ladies, are superb; they are as caring, as they are professional, and efficient. I am confident that I could not have found a better foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon, than Dr. Kwon, and Dr. Kwon's team, and the Day Surgery Team (including nursing and anesthesia) are absolutely superb.

We talked for an hour the 1st time I met with him. Post surgery, I was playing golf in 2.75 weeks! I asked if he could do a plasma rich platelet injection at the site of the surgery to help reduce the healing time. He did it and even got the insurance company to pay for it. The shoulder replacement was Dr Burke. He was also very good. He was very clear that it was a much more painful and intrusive procedure than the rotator Cuff. My only issue with that surgery, is that he said he would make sure and fix my biceps muscle as part of the procedure. Post surgery he said he did it. When I could move my arm, it was obvious the biceps muscle was disconnected. In my follow up, I spoke to a PA, and she told me sometimes it doesn't take, but that I really wouldn't miss it that much. To be fair, since the only thing I was concerned about was my golf swing, it hasn't been an issue. Bottom line is the guys know what their doing and they do a fantastic job.

The location provided easy access and the attached covered parking garage has ample space. The care is seamless with my orthopedist's office on the third floor, my physical therapist on the second floor, and the surgical areas on the first floor. The check-in is simple and the anesthesia staff is wonderful. I had an amazingly positive surgical experience and I highly recommend my surgeon, Dr. Jacob Drew, and the facility. My surgical result from my total knee replacement was also outstanding.

Instead of the typical "drill, bill, and fill" approach, they really look at oral health as part of your overall health and well-being. They take a true mind-body approach, considering how dental health connects to the rest of the body rather than simply treating symptoms. Every recommendation feels honest, thoughtful, conservative, and focused on prevention. I never feel pressured into unnecessary procedures, and they always take the time to educate me so I can make informed decisions about my care. I came in originally for a second opinion on fillings supposedly needed I had doubts about. Turns out I didn't need any. They discovered lip ties I had I had never been told about. I even asked about potential treatments and they said I didn't need them! They really care about the patients health over just billing for procedures. A refreshing alternative to traditional dentistry and one of the few healthcare providers I've found that truly treats the whole person. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. I would never go back to a traditional dentist who doesn't take a holistic approach! Love love love them!

Before the cleaning, I declined the laser decontamination, which costs about $2,000 and is not covered by insurance. I literally walked in and out in less than 15 minutes for this treatment. When I pointed out that she completely skipped the upper right side of my mouth, she insisted she had done it and asked, "Do you want me to go back?" What do you mean by asking me that? This appointment was supposed to be 45+ minutes, and you barely spent 15 minutes rushing through my cleaning! For the billing part, the receptionist girl insisted she couldn't find my insurance and tried to upsell me their insurance plus a $600 estimate for the regular cleaning service which I used to spent $20+ on. I had to call my insurance, connect it with her, eventually run through everything myself. I was overall shocked by their attitude and profit-driven behavior. For me as a patient, health is the top priority, cost is secondary. If they can't even perform a basic cleaning correctly, I can't trust them with anything more complex.
