-Work still needs to be completed a month later -Promised to install gutter guards for free. No one getting back to us -Told us we could increase like of credit if needed. Had to have wood replaced on roof, would not increase credit -Gutter installers did not clean up after the first day. Spend 2 hours cleaning nails, cigarettes, and other trash. We have kids and animals that play in the yard -Gutter installers did not clean the second day. MHI sent someone to clean up -Called multiple times, left voicemails, no one calls you back -Sent text messages, left on read or no response -Constantly asking for payment when work isn't complete -Due to nails not picked up, flat tire. We had our roof replaced in 2023 and have had leaks during strong rains ever since. MHI folks have come out to "repair" the leaking area at least twice and we found yet more water coming into our room. I had to correct him over and over......your sales pitch on your shingles doesnt interest me. How long do you warrant the product and can you guarentee no leaks. Price was an issue too. Protests by me took a $24k product down to $19. What happened to "lead with your best price"? Once again, I cannot vouch for their quality. original work was not completed they did not replace the gutter hangers. also left pieces of shingles on the roof after work was supposedly done. 2 months later they came back cut the old ones off and left the cut hangers they removed in my yard and driveway. Just a heads up if you're considering getting solar panels installed on your roof. We had Meredith install a new roof back in 2018. At the time we were told in order to not void their roof warranty, we had to go thru them for installation of the panels. Fast-forward to today, Meredith now tells me that they no longer install solar panels, and if I have a 3rd-party do the installation, that will void my 50 year roof warranty with Meredith. Stay away from this company. We had siding installed 12 years ago that came with a lifetime warranty. During the April 29, 2025 storm, 1 sheet of siding became damaged. We hired another company to replace the piece since MHI no longer does siding. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called to find out the manufacturer of our siding as well as the style and color so the other company could order and replace the damaged piece. I left messages and spoke finally to Nick. He assured me he would obtain the information we needed and call me back. After several days I called him again. He again said he would have to speak to his supervisor. Then still no call back[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The owner of the siding company that was going to do the replacement called MHI. He spoke to Tracy. He explained the situation and sent her pictures and copies of our original install invoice noting the life time warranty. Tracy called me and again I told her the story and that it was just 1 sheet that needed to be replaced. She said MHI wanted to make it right and they would honor the warranty and do the replacement . [[HIGHLIGHT]]She called me a second time to confirm she would be sending someone out to take pictures. Next she sends the installation person up to take pictures[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Then I began getting voice messages from CP, (Connor) telling me it would not be covered because it was from storm damage. Odd, Tracy was honoring the life time warranty, knowing the story of the storm damage from myself AND the other company . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tracy also confirmed to the siding company that was going to do the repair that MHI would be taking care of it. Suddenly, change of tune[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Meanwhile, for 3 weeks now we have been asking them the name of the manufacturer, style and color and they refuse to provide. Tracy has given every excuse including the company has been sold, they are transitioning systems and they cannot find our information in their records.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Too many conflicting stories from Nick, CP and Tracy. Clearly there is something administratively wrong going on there[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Comically poor customer service and communication. The subcontractors left garbage (fast food wrappers and bags) all over the front of the house and extension cords and air hoses draped in front of our doors between the two days of installation. The were not able to finish in the first day and came back in the evening of the following two days to "finish," with ridiculously trimmed flashing, the wrong color caulking, and improperly installed skylights. We complained to Andy and was told that he had plenty of installs with this subcontractor with no problems but that he'd have someone come over to repair within a week. In fact, it was only when I threatened to start mediation that he contacted me to schedule a visit. The issues were repaired reasonably well. We had initially planned to use Meredith to replace the soffit, facia, downspouts, and gutters but, when I asked Jon about some details regarding invoicing he became frustrated and offered us to cancel without a penalty, which we eagerly did. We've settled on an installed who will be using superior materials at a price which is 30% less than Meredith's. Avoid - there are too many far better alternatives who aren't inconvenienced by their customers. read more

I will start off with the initial dealing with MHI Roofing in Bethel Park PA. Our Condo Community had all the roofs on 6 buildings of total 39 units re shingled in June of 2024 to the tune of nearly $140,000. They were fast and efficient. However, a few weeks down the road we had [[HIGHLIGHT]]some issues with items that should have been done as requested. Called the Site Supervisor, Cam Kinnee, submitted the service request, and it took over a month to get this service done and completed. A few weeks later, we had heavy winds and a flue cap blow off, mind you, these flue caps were original from 1974 and were in horrible shape. They should have been replaced, but MHI just painted the old ones. So, I contact Cam Kinnee again, he schedules service, this took another month to get this taken care of, or so I thought[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fast forward to January 2025, some winds blew another flue cap off, I contacted Cam Kinnee once more, he was unable to do anything, as he was in a training class[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]During my wait for him to return my message from Jan 22, 2025 to Feb 3, 2025. Still not service on the first flue cap by the way![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]... [[HIGHLIGHT]]March 11, 2025 another flue cap on another unit had blown off. I contacted Cam once again, he said he would let his office know. I get a response from Cam informing me that he no longer works for MHI Roofing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since then I have called MHI numbers about 20 times at MHI Office in Mt Lebanon, I have left messages, no returned calls, no one answers the phone... I am so frustrated with MHI[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. If you plan to use this company... Please reconsider... Once they have your money they do not service their work! Very disappointed! STAY FAR AWAY! Disrespectful and Dishonest Company. We hired this company to do our roof a few years ago. They did a great job, so good that I recommended them to my own mother, as well as other friends. My mother hired them and they replaced the roof. About a month later there was a leak, they came out and said that's not our problem. Even though we have provided a video-graphic from the roof leaking into the house. Shortly after that, they stopped returning our emails, and phone calls. Even though, we have a warranty with them. They simply refused to assist. When I called them to talk with them on my mothers behalf, they lady said she refuses to talk with us further and hung up the phone on me. I've never been more disrespected from a company that I thought of in high regard. If you are considering them, DO NOT HIRE. For my friends that I've already sent recommendations to, I rescind those recommendation. Unfortunately, since they hung up on me and will not honor the warranty they gave us. We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well as hiring a lawyer to take care of this situation. I was going to file a complaint in court, but realized they didn't do anything illegal ... just unethical. Originally, I was only looking for repairs- I knew I had a few shingles off and a detached downspout- but Cory came out to do a full inspection, and he pointed out some problems that had escaped my attention. He answered my questions and made sure I understood the process and warranties before I signed the work order. The crew was fast and professional, and came as soon as they had availability. Due to the pitch of my roof and the proximity of the neighbors, it couldn't have been an easy job, and that was before factoring in the 90 degree heat. They started around 7am had all the shingles off by noon, and everything back on and cleaned up by 7 pm. Great job and I recommended them to my neighbors. read more

Sales person came out to give me an estimate on gutter guards and i signed the contract same day. told me since we had an active lead that they would schedule something ASAP. 3 weeks later nothing. had to call the sales person about 5 times to even get an update and when i finally got him on the phone he sounded annoyed that I was even calling. I decided to shop the bid and found another company that was over $1000 less for the same service. don't waste your time with this company they have poor communication and customer service. read more

Cam was our sales rep. He was responsive, professional, and very easy to talk to. He showed us what was needed and didn't push a hard sale on us. The quality of the work performed was top notch. The crew was on time and they explained everything that was being done. We had a minor issue after the work was completed. We reached out to Cam and right away he had someone come out and fix it. If I could add a review with 0 stars, I would. We had issues with the initial permitting and our township office. Meredith couldn't produce proper drawings for out porch roof to be approved. It took weeks for Ty to hire an architect to get the drawings completed - he thought just handing a pencil drawing on a scratch piece of paper was sufficient... Fast forward after completion of the project - the crew was courteous and efficient. A few months later we noticed (during fall rainy season) water running down the front of our house, leaving our front door area wet (it now has a ROOF). We called and called and finally got them to come out. Their solution? Add caulking... We tried for 2 years to get them to come out again and we got the run around (that's if we were able to actually talk to some one.) We finally got another roofing company to come out and inspect. We thought maybe they used to incorrect flashing. After inspection, we found out along with incorrect flashing, the ENTIRE roof was installed incorrectly and water was leaking in between the siding. Luckily everything was covered by the GAF warranty and we weren't tied to using Meredith to make the repairs since it was 2 years after initial install. The management practices of this company is appalling and is the reason why contractors get a bad name. Not to mention the staff turnaround. They are swindling thousands of dollars out of homeowners and employing contractors who do not know how to do proper installs. Their license needs to be revoked. It's down right shameful. January 7, 2019 I recently had my roof repaired by Meredith Home Improvements. I am writing to express my displeasure with the entire process from beginning to end. First, I would like to state that the roof looks really great . . . . but that's where the good job ends. Once the roof was completed, I was left with a massive "mess" that needed to be cleaned up. I had to call the office and request a clean-up. No one followed up with me stating the job was even done. So much material was left behind that I was under the impression they were coming back! My satisfaction was not met according to what I was promised in the initial consultation and sales pitch. I was informed that once the roof was done, cleanup would occur immediately afterwards. Well that did not happen. I was also told that tarps would be placed around the property to catch debris. That also didn't happen. So because no tarps were used, there were nails everywhere in the front, side and backyards. Old roof pieces were EVERYWHERE. I was actually outside cleaning and sweeping - picking up nails. And I'm still finding nails! And to further exacerbate the situation, one person came back alone to do the cleanup (which took two days because he didn't bring the heavy magnet the first clean-up visit). There is damage to my property: my storm window cover was busted and shattered, my back porch wooden railing is cracked and splintered in different places. I have grandkids and now I have to worry about them getting wood splinter pieces in their hands or fingers. I had plastic fencing placed around an area in my garden that is also broken into pieces. All they had to do was ask me to remove these things before they were literally destroyed! So, as you can see, I really am not pleased with the outcome of this job. What was promised was not met and I had property destroyed in the process. I am paying $8600+ so I would have expected better than what I received. The ball was dropped with the clean-up and the lack of communications once the job was completed. I had hired this company for two roof replacements on my properties and new gutters on a property. After costly problems on the one roof replacement and gutters, I regret hiring this company for any work on my houses. I spent around $20,000.00 in 2012 to have a new roof and new gutters put on my house. There have been various issues with both the roof and the gutters since that time. First, after the install, I had constant problems with water pouring over the gutters on the front of the house during heavy rains. I had multiple other roofers come out and tell me that the pitch was off, which was causing the overflow. I continued calling about the problem. This went on for several years until I finally paid another company to fix the front gutters and I haven't had a problem with water overflow since that other company fixed the problem. Second, within five years of the entire roof replacement, I started having water leaking into the third floor of my house. The roof was only a few years old so I was shocked. This caused significant drywall damage to a newly remodeled third-floor bathroom and there was water staining in a third-floor closet as well. My understanding was that there was a ten-year warranty on the product. I tried for months to get Meredith to address this, let me know what was wrong with the roof, and if the warranty would cover it. In the meantime, I had other roofers come out to my house because the damage inside my house was getting worse. One roofer said that there was sitting water on the roof because of an improper install and the roof was prematurely failing. This sounded bad, so I figured I had better let Meredith know so they could send someone out to tell me what was wrong and whether the warranty would cover it. I still couldn't get anyone to return my calls and the customer support email didn't work. Any emails bounced back. I finally sent a message through the "Request an Estimate" feature on their website and got a response that way. Ty, from the company, noted in the response email that standing water might void the ten-year warranty. He also said that any sitting water on the roof would be due to improper drainage (which I assume would relate to their initial install being done improperly) or clogged gutters (even though there aren't gutters around the flat part of the roof so that response makes no sense). Apparently, he was able to deduce this without looking at the roof. After his response, I sent him some pictures provided to me from another roofer so he could let me know his thoughts after seeing what was going on through pictures. After sending him pictures and asking about the warranty again, I didn't get a response. So I paid another roofer to patch up areas to try and stop the water from coming into the house and prevent more damage. I was never able to get any warranty information from them so I gave up because it seems to me like the ten year warranty on materials is a sham. Finally, when roofers were coming out to address the water coming into the third-floor of the house, I also noticed that water was dripping from behind my bay window gutters. I got up on the ladder and saw that water was flowing from the roof over the bay windows and trickling down behind the gutters. There was no overhang from the shingles and there was no drip plate. I was told by a different roofing company that the gutters were installed too low, there should have been a slight shingle overhang and a drip plate installed. Further, the roofer said that the wood was all rotted now due to water flowing behind the gutters. I had to pay someone else to fix this as well. I keep finding new issues (I noticed this week that there is new water damage to the ceiling all around my chimney) and damages that roofers are telling me are due to improper initial install of both the roof and gutters. Unfortunately, Meredith won't respond. I would love to get the ten year warranty info, but no one will provide it. read more

This is a terrible company and I do not recommend it to anyone. Meredith put a new roof on my house. From the start, I had a significant leak around the chimney with the water trickling down the bricks into the house. The flashing was not done using the method that the salesman told me would be used at the beginning. Over the next several months, Meredith sent someone out four times to look at the flashing, but the situation never improved. The last time they claimed it was not the flashing, but the chimney, which was rubbish. And that is how they left it. I don't know if they are inept or dishonest, but either way it has been a disaster. Find another roofer. read more

After a bad contractor experience, Meredith Home Improvements came out for a estimate. Zack was very professional and did an excellent job showing the product and going over the work. We had 2 other estimates done too and Meredith was the best priced. It was a good month from the initial estimate and the time I contacted Zack to sign the contract to start. In that month time Zack was not pushy or calling to see if we decided. After signing, (keep in mind this is at the end of the season after a rainy summer) they dropped off materials the following week and a week after that the crew was here on that Monday like they said. The crew started on Monday morning and was finished by Tuesday afternoon. The crew did a great job. They worked quick and paid attention to detail. I would absolutely reccomend Meredith Home Improvements. Couldn't be happier. read more
