Extremely disappointed and frustrated…read more We have an urgent court case coming up in less than a month, and after seeing that this law office had over 700 high-rated reviews, I called to schedule an appointment. Leslie helped set up an initial consultation for Tuesday at 2:20 PM at their Ontario location. When we arrived, the front desk staff seemed completely unaware of our appointment. They just stared at us and didn't seem to have any record of our scheduled time. There were only two front desk staff in the office--no attorneys, no other staff. I explained that we had an appointment at 2:20, and they had to ask for our names and the time multiple times before finally locating us in the system. Then, they told us that no one was available for the consultation, and worse--no one in the office could speak English. I had clearly informed the staff when booking that we only speak English and Korean and had specifically requested a Korean translator. They said none were available, so I took time off work and drove an hour just to translate for my parents--only to be told that no English-speaking staff were present at all. I genuinely don't understand--if the attorney cannot speak English, how are they attending court and representing clients in a legal system that operates entirely in English? Later, someone from the office called to apologize and offered to reschedule for a phone consultation the following Monday. We agreed, and I clearly explained what legal issue we needed help with, and specifically asked to be connected with an attorney who specializes in that area. She said that was fine, and once the appointment was booked, I asked who I would be speaking with. She told me the name was Dennis Peters. Naturally, I looked him up on their website. First of all, I don't even think he's a licensed attorney. And second, even if he is, it appears he specializes in bankruptcy law--which is not the area I requested help in. To make matters worse, when Monday came around--no one ever called. No follow-up, no explanation, nothing. This entire experience has been a huge waste of time, money, and effort. I took time off work (resulting in lost income), gathered all our legal documents, spent time and gas driving to the appointment, and came prepared--only to be turned away with no consultation. And what's worse, they sent two text confirmations and even called to confirm the appointment--yet were completely unprepared for us. Absolutely unprofessional, disorganized, and disappointing. We could have spent that time getting help from an attorney who was actually qualified and available.
