Mr Bracken is the best immigration attorney. My wife is from Thailand and we were working on getting her green card about 6 years ago. At the time i was a drunk loser and had no job. My wife was the only one working and money was needless to say extremely tight. So we tried going about the process by ourselves at first after hearing from others its not too difficult. That is a lie. The process is very time consuming and complicated even if you have any easy case, which we found out later we did not. So we went to Mr Bracken.. and what a relief it was. All we had to do was get him the documents he needed and he'd walk us through the process step by step while he did all the work. I ended up getting in some trouble in the middle of the process and my life got way off track. With all i was going through i stopped returning Mr Brackens calls. After about one year, only by the grace of God, I finally got myself together and was determined to get my wife's green card taken care of, assuming I'd have to start the process all over again. We went to see Mr Bracken and to my surprise he was vey understanding and let us pick right back up where we left off, saving us a lot of money. So a couple months went by and we're waiting to hear back.. finally we get the letter... and it says my wife could not be granted her status.. so disappointing :( Turns out, that because i was on probation for the trouble i got into my wife was getting denied her status. I went to the court myself to plead my case and see if i could get off probation since I'd been behaving. Unfortunately, they told me there was nothing they could do. I thought that was it, we'd have to wait years for me to get off probation, we were heartbroken. I see all 5 star ratings for them. The 1 star is for the conduct by a woman who answered the phones there. Her name is Meriam. She was very short and rude. I am not a client of theirs yet. I wanted them to explain to my wife how the process works in terms of how to prove my marriage was valid. I had spoken to a nice lady a few minutes earlier to please explain that one piece of info to my wife. When my wife called back it was Meriam that answered. Her rudeness made my wife feel very badly and upset. So I called back because I wanted to explain to them why my wife called. Merriam answered and said the other person who I talked to had clocked out for the day. Granted I was not a paying client (yet) the conduct by Merriam was fowl and inexcusable. With every word she acted like her words were worth gold and I was wasting her time. So Meriam I`m not familiar with how you are connected with this law firm but I dont believe your boss would appreciate the way you treated my wife and then me. My husband came on a Visa Waiver from New Zealand in 2000. He did not leave within the 90 days required and ended up staying illegally in America. We got married in May 2015. Since I was the only one who had a steady job with a consistent income, it was tough for us to come up with enough money to pay for the forms towards his green card. I filed my husband's I-130, and it was approved on September 14th, 2016. We were surprised that We were able to do it on our own, but we needed help with the next step because the forms got more complicated. We tried to go through Catholic Charities to file the I-485, but they referred us to a lawyer in Santa Ana since my husband came on a Visa Waiver and Catholic Charities wanted to make sure that we would get accurate assistance from the lawyer they work with. We visited the lawyer in Santa Ana and we were not comfortable with him at all. He gave us a really bad vibe and had truly frightened us when he explained the risks and dangers of entering America as a Visa Waiver and overstayed.
