Because of how thin it was, every bite had a crunch but there was no substance. And with each bite, the taste of the oil got more and more apparent. In the end, I didn't even want to finish the rest of my churros and everyone in our group felt the same. It was definitely a let-down because we were just expecting the best churros ever. Maybe we came on an off day, or maybe this style isn't to our liking. Either way, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to try but if you're in the area and got some spare change, you might as well get some.

This review is based on the mini workshop aimed at kids…read more I'm thinking the high average rating of this place is from the actual workshops that are not the mini one tailored to kids. The workshop advertises itself as a place to "make chocolate"; I guess I interpreted this a little too literally. The workshop consisted of literally pouring melted chocolate into molds and then adding some toppings like nuts or sprinkles to it. While this was very fun for my daughter who is a toddler, I felt ripped off for this experience. Furthermore, that you aren't even provided enough chocolate to complete your molds is a little disappointing in my opinion. Others in my group seemed to agree. The chocolate itself is very pricy, especially for the quality. It was more expensive than the pricier bars I've seen at Whole Foods. However, if you go to the botanical gardens, this chocolate is sold there but for about 25% more than what is in the shop. It also would have been nice to have had dark chocolate as an option for the experience. I think just having one type (milk chocolate) is an easy way for choco museum to improve. While our host was friendly and informative, it felt like a stretch to call this place a museum. I did learn stuff, but it seems you could only access the "museum" if you paid for a workshop.
