This breakfast cafe is a great place to start your day. They serve a wide variety of pancakes and waffles, as well as eggs and other Mexican dishes. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and efficient, and the cafe is pet-friendly. They only accept cash, so be sure to bring some cash with you.
What you get for both food and price, it's totally worth it here. It's cash only which a lot of places tend to be. Just like prior visits, we went for the garden seating in the back. The nice jungle vibe with all the lush plants surround the walks and hanging down. Cute little rainforest experience. Menu wise, it basically has anything and everything you would want for breakfast. Also they bring out some bread with jams and butter to start you off. Mimosa, it's good. A nice way to start off brekkie. We both went with the omelette. You can build your own or choose one of the creations they offer. It comes with hash browns and we went with fruit as well. Potion wise, it's a good size for omelette especially with all the fillings. Also had the mini quesadillas stuffed with mushrooms and cheese. Other options were chorizo. Salsas also accompanied them. They're small but could also be a meal on its own. But sharing, it works as a little starter with your meal. But if you're craving your traditional pancakes, they have it all. Even the French toast, with all the loaded creation of fruit and cream. Service is always good. The staff, all friendly and sweet. Like mentioned, it's cash only. And they're only open for breakfast and lunch.
We arrived around 10:30 a.m., already late morning, and despite the heat and bright late-December sun, the place was buzzing. There was a line out front, which is always a good sign. The host greeted us immediately, took my name, gave me an accurate wait time, and pointed out the ample shaded seating area where people could relax while waiting. That alone showed thoughtfulness. What really stood out was how efficient and attentive the staff was. Tables were cleared almost immediately after guests finished, and you could hear people laughing and chatting as they left--always a good sign. The turnover was fast without ever feeling rushed. When our name was called, we were seated in the back dining area, and wow--this is where the magic happens. The space feels like a lush tropical garden: hanging vines, plants, ivy cascading from the covered roof. Combined with multiple fans moving air throughout the space, it created a cool, breezy jungle-like atmosphere that made you forget the heat outside entirely. Honestly, it was refreshing and relaxing. Drink orders were taken right away. I ordered the cajeta coffee, which is essentially American coffee infused with rich Mexican caramel, served latte-style. Smooth, sweet without being overpowering, and absolutely delicious. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, bright and refreshing--exactly what you want in warm weather. The menu is massive: pancakes of every variety, waffles, blintzes, omelets, and more. It's the kind of menu where you want to come back multiple times just to try different things. I went with the Anna Banana--bananas and pecans piled generously over fluffy pancakes. They bring butter on the side, and there's a huge bottle of syrup on the table, so you're free to go all in. I also ordered a side of bacon, and they actually asked how I wanted it--medium or crispy. I chose medium, and it came out perfectly cooked, hot, and exactly to my liking. That kind of attention to detail matters. Portion sizes here are seriously generous. I could barely finish half my pancakes--not because they weren't good, but because there was so much food. Every bite I did eat, though, was fantastic. Bottom line: If you're really hungry, want big portions, and enjoy a garden-style, breezy, tropical atmosphere that makes the heat manageable, this place is absolutely worth the wait. One important thing to note--they're cash only, so make sure you hit an ATM before coming. A classic spot for a reason. I'll definitely be back.
Desayuno is servido! Welcome to The Pancake Gouse in Puerto Vallarta's Zona Romantica. This popular breakfast brunch spot is the place to go to enjoy a great meal and balanced morning meal. Open from 8am to 2pm daily "La Casa de Panqueques" has a gorgeous colorful layout, loads of seating and the best service in the city. That said you can definitely expect a bit of a wait being such a well enjoyed spot by locals, travellers and tourists alike. The wait isn't too bad (maybe 10 to 15 minutes), at least for us. There's lots of plant life, culture and decor throughout. Feels like your enjoying tu comida con nature. You can expect all the classic breakfast options from waffles, french toast, and pancakes to chilaquiles, egg breakfasts and specials. I decided to go with the Anna Banana pancakes are huge, fluffy, and made like try pancakes. I could only get through a little of half of them. He had the Peanut Butter Delight Pancakes, rich, thick, fluffy. Both stacks were loaded with fresh fruit, sauce and/or nuts. Just add syrup like we did :) Fresh orange juice, great coffee and tons of beverage items including cocktails, mimosas, and more. Loads of vegetarian, a few gluten-free, plus some plant-based options by default - fruit, fruit plates, some veggies, hash browns, toast and nuts - some dishes come with milk (like the oatmeal), pero "sin leche" can be done for some things. It's feels like and is practically an open air space in many directions. Great Wi-Fi, just ask and you shall receive. Restrooms easy to access and use + clean. Very bilingual spanish and ingles. You won't be disappointed at all!
What a great spot for breakfast. Our friends are from Puerto Vallarta and brought us here and we had a great time and the food was really good. It is in the city so it does get really busy also the beach is like 2 blocks away. The service is very good everyone was very nice to us. They also serve cold beer which was a huge plus for me. Breakfast tasted amazing and with a cold beer how much better can it get. Anyways if near here this is definitely a place to grab a bite.
Absolutely fantastic fresh food offering plates big enough to share. The service is as amazing as the food and the restaurants atmosphere is unbeatable offering fresh vegetation making the restaurant have a tropical vibe! It can get busy though so the earlier you can get there the better!
Solid breakfast spot. Consistently good food and service. Usually get an omelette with hashbrowns but today was eggs benny. Busy on weekends especially during high season. No credit card, pesos only.

Came in for breakfast on a Monday morning and there was no wait. We were sat quickly and ordered a couple of coffees and our food was served quickly. Let's get to the good part, here's what we had. Black Forrest pancakes- I'm not big on chocolate flavored pancakes but these may have changed my mind. The chocolate is subtle and they give you so many strawberries. It was super delicious! 5 of 5 stars! Chilaquiles- This was quality and quantity! I added 2 over easy eggs on top and it made the dish perfect. Add the chopped tomatoes with a little red chile and it brings all the flavors together. 5 of 5 stars! Jelly and toast- Served free before your meal. Very good and unexpected. 5 or 5 stars! This is a quality breakfast served well. Try it!
This is a great restaurant for breakfast/brunch. There is usually a wait during the high season. Fortunately, we just walked in this morning. The portions at this place are pretty big so bring your appetite. I order the eggs with refried beans and corn tortillas. The tortillas are homemade and extremely delicious. I got 5 of them with my order and shared with my hubby. He got the eggs with hash browns, toast and a side of bacon. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is very pleasant and has a wonderful Mexican charm. The wait staff are extremely friendly and some speak pretty good English. This is a cash only establishment so bring your pesos. Actually, it's a very reasonably priced restaurant.

We stopped here on our last day in PV before heading to the airport. We'd walked past it every single day and finally decided we couldn't leave without trying it and I'm so glad we did!!! They had bottomless coffee and a bunch of freshly squeezed juices which was a great start. Obviously, I had to order pancakes at a place called the Pancake House. I expected them to be good, but wow...they ended up being some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Thick, fluffy, and somehow perfectly soaked up the syrup without getting soggy. It was a stack of three and looked like way too much at first... but I genuinely couldn't stop eating them. My boyfriend got the French toast, and I barely managed to sneak in one bite before it disappeared but that one bite was incredible! I get why he didnt want to share it lol. The service was quick and super friendly. We were joking around with our waiter the whole time which made it even better. The whole place has a really cute vibe too with plants everywhere. Honestly, it was the perfect last meal and such a great way to spend our final morning. I'm definitely going to be dreaming about those pancakes for a long time. read more

After seven days, I was craving for American breakfast. The Pancake House makes a delicious Omelet, large portions too and topped with avocado. My cappuccino was delicious and love their complimentary bread. Service was excellent. Cash only just a heads up. I definitely would recommend especially when you're craving American breakfast after a week in PV. Cheers! read more
This place has a cool indoor garden seating option which was great. The portions are off the hook huge - one plate of pancakes feed a family (no joke). Had the Black Forest and could only eat one third. The tip here is to share an order. Buddy had a papaya smoothie which he said wasn't that great. He ordered a side of bacon which was like 6 pieces and it was nice and crisp. I would come back here and plan to share nest time. Prices are in line with normal Gringo places in PV read more

We came to The Pancake House for breakfast one morning of our trip. There was a short wait but we were soon seated and provided our menus. The servers work as a team so different ones took our orders. I started with some fresh orange juice and the complementary toast they provided. For my meal I chose Eggs Benedict. I love this dish and it's pretty cheap in Puerto Vallarta compared to home. The eggs were great and it had a generous serving of hashbrowns. Like many places in Puerto Vallarta this is a cash only establishment so leave your cards at home and bring your pesos. read more

The food was so good! I got the waffles de cajeta which I loved with a side of eggs and hash browns. My family also enjoyed their breakfast. The place is so cute and pretty spacious. You get two different waiters one for drinks and the other takes your food order, they both did great as well! There was a wait of 15 minutes but it varies at the time you come in. There is always so many people here! - We also ordered a fruit plate that came with pineapple, bananas, strawberries, and papaya. - Me and my sister ordered Iced lattes. read more

Every time we are in PV we always go to the Pancake House for breakfast. Their food is consistently good with great service. They start you off with bread, butter and jelly. If you freak out with bees tell them to skip the jelly, the bees eat well there too! The chilaquiles with green sauce, egg and chicken are absolutely amazing and a huge portion, served with beans that were good too. The Anna Banana pancakes are absolutely delicious, light and fluffy. My daughter ordered the Eggs Benedict they claim to be the best in PV. I have had much better, the sauce was too thick for my liking but she enjoyed them. My suggestion would be to order a couple or few meals and share to taste everything, the portions are huge. The coffee, latte and fresh squeezed orange juice was a plus. Note, cash only. read more

Loved this place for breakfast so much that I came here three times. This says a lot but this is the best French toast that I've ever had. Great service per usual and never experienced having to wait for a table. I tried French toast at other local places but this one was my favorite because of the cinnamon and raisins. You can't go wrong here! All your wildest breakfast dreams come true. I got the best pancakes and my boyfriend got the French toast. Everything was perfect and so inexpensive. Will definitely come here again next time I'm in the area! read more
Food 10/10. We came here for breakfast and ordered the chilaquiles, fruit parfait, and apple crepes. Everything was to die for. So good that we might go back before our trip ends. They also give you bread with butter and jelly while waiting for your meal. This has been the best breakfast yet and all under 300 pesos. read more
