A tasty bakery (both bread and pastries). It's inexpensive, unassuming, and has a good bit of outdoor seating. There's a cold case, an assortment of bread and larger sweets on metal trays like a proper bakery, and some "in-between" items: donuts, cookies, and so forth. I stopped by on two different days and was pleased both days. A chocolate cake-like item for less than 2 dollars that was topped with a little icing and filled with similar was the best sweet I had during my Vallarta visit. Also worth noting I was there in the off-season...I'd suspect the folks with the negative reviews are used to American "bakeries" where everything is chock-full of sugar and flavor enhancers. Keep in mind this is a Latin America bakery and you'll be happy.

My favorite bakery in PV, across from Freddy's. Large variety of sweets, all freshly made on site. Can you say delish!

Found this place a little off the beaten path in South East Old Town. Cute little bakery with so much to choose from. I had the Piña pastry, which has two layers of an open-side phyllo/filo dough filled with pineapple. We also tried the ham, cheese, and chile empanada. The chile was cut up green/poblano chiles. The ham and queso was pretty standard. I took one bite of the crema...and that was it. I would like to think of myself as pretty knowledgeable of regional cuisines, but this was no crema. It was a custard--almost like a flan--which was wrapped around the dough in a spiral. It was decent, but I won't purchase again. All in all a decent experience, and I would try again if I had to.

Super cute Bakery . Great selection . Smells amazing every time I pass by . Stop everyday before heading back to rest . Perfect location.

Absolutely loved stopping by for fresh breads, pastries, treats! A word to those unfamiliar with Mexican "baked goods," they are not really sweet and tend to be on the dryer side. Loved the "wedding cake" cookies with powdered sugar, great variety of muffins, and the banana loaf was fantastic (especially back at the Airbnb, slightly heated with some peanut butter).

I was exited to try this place, I was very disappointed with the quality. Price is ok but I would not come back.

Excellent breakfast option. Cash only but they also accept US dollars…read more Friendly service. I had 3 pancakes with bananas and pecans. I was able to eat only half. The food was very delicious but the portion was enormous! Large orange juice was almost the size of a pitcher! Next day I tried a waffle with apples. Sooooo sweet and delicious. The back room looks like a rainforest. Very welcoming ambiance and friendly staff with expeditious service. You must go there and try it, especially if you're super hungry.

They had bottomless coffee and a bunch of freshly squeezed juices which was a great start. Obviously, I had to order pancakes at a place called the Pancake House. I expected them to be good, but wow...they ended up being some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Thick, fluffy, and somehow perfectly soaked up the syrup without getting soggy. It was a stack of three and looked like way too much at first... but I genuinely couldn't stop eating them. My boyfriend got the French toast, and I barely managed to sneak in one bite before it disappeared but that one bite was incredible! I get why he didnt want to share it lol. The service was quick and super friendly. We were joking around with our waiter the whole time which made it even better. The whole place has a really cute vibe too with plants everywhere. Honestly, it was the perfect last meal and such a great way to spend our final morning. I'm definitely going to be dreaming about those pancakes for a long time.
